We are looking for enthusiastic and practical people to help us with our with our project of turning the house and cottage into a chambre d'hote and gite.We are looking for people with skills like: Gardening, painting and decorating and building. This year we are hoping to tackle our barn roof so people with knowledge and abilities for carrying out that kind of work would be great.

Our place is a rustic farm in Ardèche, at 900 m high, in the wild. This place can be very joyful for you by its silence, calm and beauty of its landscape. We breed sheep on its slopes. We have also 2 donkeys, 6 horses, 3 flock guiding dogs, and many cats…
We use alternative methods of grow and care, to respect as much as possible the biodiversity.
Thoughtful Agriculture.

We are a couple based in this region for 10 years. We wish to meet new people, discuss about the world, share adventures and memories of one and others. We speak French, English and Arabic.

We wish to have Helpers that can stay for minimum one week who could help us on every day duties of the farm depending of the season:

Welcome to our big old family house.

Since few years, me and my cousine, french young workers respectively in health and ecological building ; have tried to "restore" it in summer time, with some help. It is located one hour from Toulouse, near a little village with a shop / restaurant / tobacco / bar. The house is surrounded by fields, with no neighbors except cows sometimes, and gives an unobstructed view over the Pyrénées.

This summer, i would like to host a week long, from Thursday, August 13th to Wednesday 19th, more or less one day according to you. You can arrive directly by car, or I can pick you up at a train station "Boussens".

During this week with you, I would like to restore one room (coating, painting, wall paper hanging), and doing some other works in a barn and around the house. More or less. It will depend of the number of helpers you will be.
I plan to work around 6 hours a day and be free the rest of the time.

The house counts around 5 bedrooms wi... more inside

We are a small, family-run equestrian centre set in rural France.

Each summer we run an eco-friendly, organic-based summer camp for horse-mad children.

Volunteers need to have experience with horses as work includes assisting in riding lessons, tacking up and other horse-based activities.

Immerse yourself in a horse-filled, multi-cultural, bilingual French/ English experience!

We have around 30 horses, 20 of which we use for camp. We also have 2 dogs, lots of chickens and doves, 2 peacocks, 2 ducks, 1 goose, 5 pigs and a cat.

The camp activities include English style riding in the arena, Cross country, Gymkhanas, Trail rides, Vaulting (gymnastics on horses), Carriage driving, Dance, Scouts, Horse Theory, Archery and Blindfolded Woodland Trails.

Last year we ran a very successful summer camp with the help of 3 lovely volunteers! We cater for up to 30 children at camp. The children are 90% English speaking - and 10% French aged between 5-15. As a family we speak a mi... more inside
