I am looking for help with carpentry work and plumbing.

The poly tunnel needs doors - as seen in the pictures before I order the plastic. Any one with carpentry skills would be very much appreciated!

Also I need to sort out the extra bathrooms and a solar hot water system. Help on this would be very much appreciated.

Summary: I need help in our life here! Sustainable living. Vegetarian. Building with cob. New poly tunnel being built. Creating a more living space in the roof and a bathroom. Large gardens for growing most of the food eaten here. Lots of processing and preserving. Also make yoghurt and goats cheese. Next year I'm looking at building a "tiny house" sans permit, primarily using the resources available here.

I'm Zoe and I'm the owner of this place. I used to work in the IT industry but stepped out over 10 years ago. I work hard growing and processing food for eating all year round. I'm in the same sort of area as Carol Deppe, the Resilient Gardener, my main cr... more inside

We are renovating an old farm (abandoned for about 15+ years). When it's ready we are going to run a pension for animals (cats and dogs) and a dog school. More details on our website link above.
The work will be general support with all the activities. We stay in a comfortable house nearby with every comfort.

Now retired here in Normandy, in a stunning part of the area bordering Swiss Normandy, we breed pedigree highland ponies related to hmm queens ponies, we exhibit them around the country type shows in the UK breeding stock retained in France, a rare breed of some of the best ponies in the world, the farm was derelict when we took it over, since being here volunteers have researched the history discovering it's not victorian but built in 1050 by benedictine monks taken over by cisteclans, it was a secret location which is why it's still standing no one knew it existed, why so secret the Bishops were grand masters templers (look up priory of St Anne. ). All we need is a geophysical machine, time team and let's find the rest. Masses has been found with metal detector, our volunteers have a gt time. We have met some wonderfully talented people of all ages, many our age,, old.. ha ha. Varied skills, we tend to let you decide what u feel like doing good and we do it finish it. Hello, Retired architect/amateur painter involved in restoration project SW France, looking for help in the Pyrenees & in Scotland (for the construction of a sauna)to share work & creative leisure for a few weeks in early or late summer 2016.
Our area in France near the river Garonne in the Pyrenean foothills is rich in wildlife, its inheritance of architecture, history, mountaineering and cycling to name but a few.

The house, a traditional, large farmhouse, has been ecologically restored by France, a now-retired architect, combining traditional methods and materials with modern science. Colombage, the old French half-timbered construction, has been adapted for external cladding and internally the walls have been lined with straw, clay and lime, which provide breathability and good insulation. Hot water and heating are partially provided by solar panels.
We are now trying to convert part of one of the outbuildings into a small annexe and a roof of one of the farm buildings ne... more inside

Hello future helpers,

We are a German couple in our early 60s in great shape and especially active. It has been almost 35 years since we established our farm in South Corsica, close to Sartène, in the valley of Ortolo. We speak German, French and English.
We have a varied farm: a sheep breeding, poultry and a big garden filled with vegetables. We sell the main part of our production on the local markets.

The main activities depend on the season:
- From December till July, our main tasks are the milking sheep and the producing cheese.
- From March to October are dedicated for the preparation and the maintenance of the garden (sowing, planting, plowing) and the harvest of vegetables.
- From October till December we cut wood and take care of the new born lambs.
- All year round we raise chickens (meat and eggs).

The missions may evolve according to the skills and the interests of the helpers for example:
- Taking care animals (feeding, preparing the sheds…),

im an english woman with a five year old son, living in a beautiful isolated valley in the south of france. we are off grid with solar electricity and spring piped water. we have 8 hectares of mostly woodland, and have chickens, cats, dog, a sheep and two donkeys. i moved here 3 years ago with my french partner with the intention to set up a ferme pedagogique (learning farm) centered around medicinal herbs and renewable energy. however now that the relationship has ended we are heading in new directions. although he is happy to help with work on the property which we still co-own, he has a job so cant do as much as he'd like. which is why i'm look ing for some help.

I am looking for help with building two extensions to my small house for extra space and light and to create a bathroom and kitchen (it's all in one room at the moment). and also to add on to the compost toilet. i am interested in eco / green building and my philosophy is to build as simply and cheaply as possible wit... more inside

Our farm in SW France is devoted to our rarebreed pigs. We have a herd of Berkshires; Middle Whites; Oxford Sandy & Blacks and a lovely Tamworth. They all live and farrow outside. We feed them twice a day with local petit lait (whey) and our own cereals.

We also sell our pork to a wide range of customers in our community - we have a farm shop but mainly attend the local market to sell.

Fun hard work but rewarding. We have many on going projects from building new paddocks for our pigs and general maintenance work around the farm. Gardening is on the back burner and we would dearly love someone to come and give our farm that little bit of TLC.
