I live alone in a comfortable 2 bedroom house on a big piece of land, 9 minutes drive to the city, perhaps 20 minutes by bus. I don't have any organic credentials though I do grow some veges...

But I'm thinking it would be great to have some (male preferred) company, some visitors from around the world, maybe 3-7 days, while you get to explore Auckland before heading off to the beautiful parts of NZ.

You would be sharing a room with my grand piano (which I have to work on sometimes) ... but it is a big room. I hope you can cook ... I can lol.

Actually I rent this home, so there is no major work to be done, but there is always something to be done, mostly just the housework, and doing things in the garden. Now it's almost spring-cleaning time inside the house, and clearing and tidying time outside.

I am a mature guy, classical musician by trade, and I'd enjoy the variety of different visitors from around the world. Ich kann ein Bisschen Deutsch, fast.

Around here there... more inside

Our next available block is in November.

Our preference would be for 2 friends traveling together.

*****

We are a lovely little family of 4, including our 2 daughters of 4 and 5.5 yr old and a little puppy :-)

As life is always busy and we have an empty sleepout, we would love to offer accommodation in exchange for a bit of help in and around the house. Just general household chores, cleaning, gardening, mowing the lawns, playing with the girls, etc. Nothing heavy, just looking for an extra pair of hands :-)

A general understanding of English is preferred in order to communicate with the girls and you will need to be mature, reliable and independent.

We ask to help us with an average of 2hrs/day pp in exchange for use of the sleepout. You choose when you would like to do that, although 15min in the morning and evening would be appreciated as these are the most hectic parts of the day :-) Days off is always OK, we just change the jobs to another day, no worries :-) ... more inside

Here on the beautiful Awhitu Peninsula (98kms from Britomart Transport Centre) keen, fit, strong and practical helpers, are welcome. Single male or a couple. Sorry, we do not host single females. Spring is here and there is some weed spot spraying to be done. Thistles to remove. Farm jobs to be done, fencing - repairs and new fences to create and basic building repairs are also possible depending on your experience. Some gardening as well. Maybe some horse riding is possible but only for a very experienced rider. We run our beef farm in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way. We have been awarded 4 Environmental Awards. You sleep in our Farmstay building but meals TV etc are in our house. We allow people to check their emails on our computer but we have a very small basic internet package. If you have a "Spark" account for your phone it will work well. We are a NZ couple in their 60's, non smoking, eat our home grown meat and vegetables, we can only speak English. Very central location close to Ponsonby Road, parks and supermarkets. Stay with me (owner) and one border collie (dog). Attractive renovated house and garden. Free WiFi. I have one spare room for a male visitor who is helpful, non-smoking, clean and tidy - and who wants to enjoy easy access to central Auckland and explore its neighbourhoods. If you don't read this, or match these criteria, kindly don't apply because I won't reply and you are wasting your time. Note for Helpers: I probably won't consider your request to stay if you put almost nothing about yourself on your profile - so I recommend you make some effort so potential hosts can know something about you before you apply. After all, the host profile usually has a lot of information, photos and some reviews - you should supply that as well!!

Light duties might include regular housework, ironing a few shirts, odd jobs around the garden or small projects. Since I don't exactly run a farm, I do expect you to adapt to our r... more inside

We are a family with two kids aged 13 and 11. We run our family's beef farm and also have a farmstay on the west coast.

We are into everything horsey, out doors and farm.
We are looking for a confident horse rider to help with the ponies/horses.
Some daily house duties.

Don't need to be a world class jumps rider but must be a confident rider out in large spaces.
If you had lessons once a week 10 years ago this probably isn't for you.

Lots of riding to be had for the right person/people.

See our farm stay website link above for pictures of the farm.

We have had awesome helpx people so far and look forward to sharing our home with someone new.

Suit one or two people.
Would also suit couples/friends where one rides and the other helps on the farm or in the house.
Available now.

We live on a sundrenched acre of land with sweeping views of native bush and the harbour. Super close to Titirangi village with its cafes and bars, supermarket and bus stops, but tucked into the hillside overlooking the rest of the world, you could easily be a million miles from civilisation.
Great location to head north or south for travelling and in your spare time there are amazing black sand surf beach close by Piha & Bethells beach. Fantastic opportunity to explore the Waitakere Ranges - with plenty of bush walks and waterfalls and spectacular scenery very close by.

4mins drive from Titirangi Village (Cafe, supermarket, restaurants etc)

35minute drive to Auckland City. Limited public transport - but bus stop at the end of the road, train station in New Lynn. Connections from New Lynn to central Auckland city & airport etc.

Around 10-15mins to the mall (Lynn mall) cinemas etc.

We're after someone/someones to help with restoring the native bush at the fringes of the... more inside

We live in an early NZ villa set in a beautiful valley 1 hour north of Auckland. Although some areas of the villa are still being renovated our home is welcoming with a mix of the old and modern style living. Pets include a cat and dog, two horses, chickens, duck, goats and also run a few sheep. We have two orchards that includes stone and pip fruit trees and olives.

Comfortable accommodation, internet access and bicycles to explore the surroundings is what we offer in return for your enthusiastic, willing, helping hands.

Looking for help preferably between 30th September and 14th October or part of, for around the house and property, to cook meals, look after vege garden, do some planting, property maintenance, and other varied work. We are interested in what skills each individual has to offer and look for ways to accommodate these.

We work on the basis of 4 hours per day, plus cooking the evening meal. Everyone helps themselves to breakfast and generally lunch, tho... more inside
