We have an amazing farmy lifestyle but can see the sky tower from the property. Its about 5 minutes to the local shopping centre and central Auckland is around 25mins off peak. We're tucked away and surrounded by bush - half the property is in grass and we run sheep and chickens. We have huge vege gardens that provide loads of produce year round and we love cooking. Helpers will be accommodated in their own house which can sleep 5 and has a fire to keep you warm. Work around the farm includes the never ending fight against weeds, cleaning, lawnmowing and general tidying. Helpers with carpentry or fencing experience would be hugely appreciated! We love meeting new people and hearing stories of their countries.

Hello hello,

We are looking for a couple or two friends in January for 4 days at a time...(preferably during the week) with the possibility of staying longer.

The barn is totally self contained with own kitchen and bathroom (see photos attached) We provide an evening meal and accommodation in exchange for 4 hours work. (you will provide your own breakfast and lunch).

We have a few weddings coming up in January 2020 so will need help with them, waitressing and working in the Boutique Bar serving drinks.

Other work involves setting up for weddings e.g. cleaning barns, setting up tables etc... gardening , collecting firewood, weed eating....

We are located on a private farm (25 acres) just north of Auckland City (45 minutes) in Puhoi. Having your own car would be ideal as its a 15 minute drive from Puhoi township / and Silverdale township, but not a must as we do travel into Silverdale / Orewa every few days so I can pick up from bus station in Silverdale. ... more inside

Start or finish your New Zealand adventure with us. (Available from 13 January)

We have the perfect location for you, whether you've just arrived and you're getting set up or about to leave and are selling a vehicle.

We're on State Highway 16, the alternate route north from Auckland so we're an excellent choice if you're heading towards Cape Reinga or the Bay of Islands, or a stopping point on your way south again. We're about 40 minutes by car from downtown Auckland.

We're close enough to Auckland that you can get there if you want to.

We're a family of six who try to live sustainably off our land. Sheep, chickens, ducks, turkeys, and bees share our sweeping views of the Kaipara Harbour. We have numerous varieties of fruit trees including a few exotic species and large areas for vegetables and berries.

On Friday's we open our home for anyone to come and enjoy the best pizza you'll eat in New Zealand. (Usually between 20-40 people)

We are 5mins north of Kaukapakap... more inside

*WE ARE CURRENTLY FULLY BOOKED WITH HELPERS TILL SEPTEMBER 2020*

My husband and I have a lifestyle block with dry cattle plus a large number of pets (dogs, cat, parrot, goats, pigs, alpacas, lizards, chickens). We have herb & vegetable gardens and a small orchard. Our house is spacious and helpers have their own cottage. We have a games room and swimming pool. My parents also live in a house on our property. We're a caring, fun family and we live in a wonderful rural community. While we are fairly isolated we usually travel into town several times a week and are happy to assist helpers with transport. Farm work can be fairly strenuous so our helpers need to be able to cope with physical work, but we try to vary the workload. Please note that if you have allergies to grass or pollen our property is not suitable.

This season our projects include preparing vegetable gardens, trimming fruit trees, removal of gorse, completing a large landscaping project, tidying up gardens & clea... more inside

This community was born in 1975 when a group of young friends including my father and uncle got together and bought this land to start a community of like minded people, in that first period they built the communal house we call the A-frame, established big gardens, planted fruit trees and had dreams of more communal space such as yoga studios and library but as the people had different ideas and focus in there lives they mostly left the Island.

My partner and I are now living on the land, and making it our home, and inviting like minded travellers to experience our lifestyle.

We are now full swing into a new and exciting alternative, eco building project. We are building our dream home out of mud brick, milled timber from the island and other recycled materials. Post and beam structure, passive solar design with green roof's and off grid systems. For this project we are requesting enthusiastic practical people to get involved preferably with some building experience or relev... more inside

Next available - 4th Jan for 3 weeks.

You will be expected to be a self-starter, very responsible and have great initiative.

Enthusiasm to learn and to be self-motivated is a must for us. The ability to prepare food and cook would be an advantage.

Would prefer someone with knowledge of birds and aviaries or a strong willingness and enthusiasm to learn. Not being scared of large parrots would also help.

Interest in goats and hedgehogs would be a major advantage. We breed angora goats and care for rescued hedgehogs.

We have a lifestyle block in North Auckland, 5 mins from main highway north, about 30 mins from central city.
Currently, we are having a major clean up of the property, this leads to many little jobs we need help with.
It would be good to have someone that knows, or has the ability to learn fast, how to care for aviary and hand raised birds. You will need to be confident around them and be diligent and caring regarding their needs.

We have one doub... more inside

A large garden situated on the waterfront of Auckland's Upper Harbour.
The House is a cottage but comfortable and a 20minutes drive by car- no traffic-to downtown Auckland.
I am situated close to the North Western motorway and not far from the ferries at Hobsonville Point and West Harbour.
Having a car would be an advantage but there are public transport options.
I am able to pick you up from the city.
I always needs help in the garden and general maintenance.
I expect 4 hours of work a day from my Helpex ,it is not excessive and helping me keep the house tidy is part of the arrangements.
You can have days off if you wish to exploreAuckland.
I can cater for vegetarians but not vegans and I really appreciate it when someone cooks for me.
Travellers appreciate fast unlimited wifi which I have.
There are some exciting recreational activities nearby.
Enjoy your stay in New Zealand
I am ready for new visitors

We live on a 26 acre peaceful lifestyle property with native stands of bush, hills, meadows and lots of birds including: wood pigeons, tuis, fantails, moreporks, pukekos, pheasants, etc. We have two flocks of sheep and a few calves which graze on the hills.
Next year we’re going to begin a large native revegetation project. We’ll be planting approximately 11,000 native trees that will add to old native stands in order to create a total of 6 ha. of native bush. We need some help with weed eradication in order to prepare for planting as well as various other jobs that need to be done: splitting firewood, weeding, mowing, keeping the vegetable garden going, etc.
We’re looking for a pleasant, enthusiastic couple (preferably vegetarian but not required) who enjoy being in contact with nature, gardening and being involved in a worthwhile project. For accommodation there’s a small cottage with its own bathroom. Ideally stay for one or two weeks, 5 hours a day. We provide the main... more inside
