I'm renovating my old Villa house in a small town and need help with DIY building and decorating, as well as landscaping & gardening. Help with cooking and/or cleaning is also appreciated.

I've recently added a large deck, to take advantage of good barbecue weather, and to enjoy a few cool drinks.

Paeroa is the central hub the Hauraki Rail Trail, as well as on SH2, so is a convenient stop whether you're travelling by bike, van, bus, or thumb.

I'm offering own room in a tolerant house, with either two singles or a double bed, shared bathroom, wifi, cooking facilities, & some meals.

Couples, siblings, friends, and couples with children are also welcome.

Note: There's a cat living in this house - he's very friendly but he wants me to remind you that your health comes first, and if you have a cat allergy he'll understand if you can't stay.
House is non-smoking indoors - outdoors is ok.

HelpX jobs completed:

Finish deck, weed garden, paint hall & bedroom, organise k... more inside

Immediate start. We are looking for someone to predominately look after our children, who are 1 and 4 in exchange for accommodation and food. There will be light house work to do as well. 3-4 hours a day 5 days a week, may involve some weekends.

We live on a small lifestyle block with horses. You will have a completely self contained one bedroom cottage to live in. Happy, relaxed family. Fairly flexible helping hours.

We are looking for one or two strong guys to do some work in the garden asap. We have a large pile of mulch and it needs to be spread in the garden, mostly on a hill, so the work is pretty exhausting, however afterwards you can cool down in our beautiful pool ;)
We are a family of 5. Our boys are 10, 14 and 15.
We have a dog, a cute cat and some chickens.
Generally with helpx we expect 4hrs of work - in return we offer a lovely room (see photo) with your own bathroom in a nice newish house, free wifi as well as all the meals.
We live just outside of Hamilton in the country.

Hi, we are a family of four, living on 3/4 acre with lots of native trees and garden to care for. We are looking for help with developing new landscaping in our property, and to look after our native trees. This means moving big piles of dirt, clearing weeds, moving landscaping material and pavers, and things like that. Pretty hard work! If you think you might be interested in this kind of work, and hanging out with us, please contact us. So we look forward to hearing from you :)

You would have your own room, and we would love to invite you to share meals with us, and to just hang out.

Jules is a surfer, and I (Amanda) am an artist, our children are high school age, and we have two fat cats, and two chickens.

Thanks, and look forward to hearing from you.

We are an ex farming couple now living on a ten acre lifestyle block on the slopes of Mt Pirongia, overlooking the Waikato basin. Some acreage is planted in timber trees with the balance being garden and orchard. We have our own beehives on the property and attempt to be as organic as possible. A small glasshouse enables us to grow most of our vegetables from seed throughout most of the year. Activities include seasonal maintenance of the property, including gardening/weeding, planting, pruning, firewood, as well as general work around or inside the home. We enjoy using our spa during the winter months and pool during the summer. We enjoy hosting and value the intercultural exchange with people from around the globe. Looking forward to hearing from you and meeting you!
