We are looking for one or two people to help out my elderly parents in there beach-side residence.

Tasks would be range from assisting my spritely 85 yr old father, Dick, with chores throughout his extensive garden of beautiful native New Zealand trees and his flourishing vegetable/herb garden.
Along with sitting with my increasingly forgetful Mother, Beth, and assist in simple, pleasant tasks such as, making a batch of scones or perhaps completing that day's newspaper crossword.

We are a mid 60s Christian couple, managing a large bush covered property very close to the entrance of the Tararua National Park. This is within walking distance to tracks. We share the home, 2 huts, 2 caravans etc with individuals and groups who come for prayer, meetings and/or rest and recreation.

Our off grid house heats the water and creates electricity. We have limited broadband internet access with a voice over phone. Cellphone coverage is virtually non existent here.

We have some outdoor work available weather permitting over the next few weeks e.g. gardening, odd jobs, track making and track maintenance. We have young moscovy ducks, 2 bee hives, some hens and quail in a cage.

We can collect you from Otaki which is 14 km away, the Intercity bus stops there.

We welcome singles or married couples.
Short stays are ok.

All the very best to you for your time in beautiful NZ.

Hi there,
We're a family of five with 3 young children. It's busy around here and I'm looking for a skilled individual or couple to join us for a short while to help me complete 2 projects - building 2 sheds to be used for a commercial vegan kitchen and to develop the garden with building a greenhouse and raised organic veg beds with the aim of increasing our self-sufficiency.
I have plans to build these structures out of pallet wood and other reclaimed materials. It would be great if someone can share their experience and skill in exchange for an interesting cultural exchange and delicious vegetarian food and accommodation in a sunny spot looking out over the ocean with a less than 5 minute walk to the beach. The amount of time you stay is flexible and it would be ideal if you stay to complete one project. On parle francais. Se habla espanol. I look forward to hearing from you!
