Hi we - Rod & Nicola - run our 100 hectare pastoral property to raise dairy heifers on an annual contract..
Farm and garden work available now - firewood, garden tidying, farm jobs, some painting and lots of other jobs. We prefer helpers with on farm experience.
In spring the farm is abuzz as we harvest fresh asparagus from mid Oct- mid Dec. We grade the spears in our packhouse for gate sales and also sell at the Otago Farmers market in Dunedin.
We have large vegetable garden which is a priority and supplies many of our needs. Plus there are shrub gardens that need regular care.
The jobs we offer involve gardening, firewood stacking, painting, farm jobs, house work and general maintenance - lots of variety.
We prefer helpers with some rural experience if possible.
We have a comfortable farmhouse, with an outdoor bath on the deck. We enjoy fresh healthy food.
Our location is just 3 kms north of Palmerston township and 20 kms south of the Moeraki boulders.

We live 7 minutes drive from Queenstown, at Wilson Bay, loved for its walking track, mountain biking and swimming. We have a new property, that adjoins DOC land. We are creating large gardens of native NZ shrubs to help sustain our tuis and bellbirds. We need help with gardening; weeding and shifting plants, propagation of NZ natives by cuttings and division, wood chopping and stacking, mulching, and general household duties. We enjoy fresh seasonal organic food from the garden, sea and bush as Grant is a diver, hunter and fisherman. We ask for 5 hours work for each night you stay, and because of the kind of work that needs to be done we need people used to physical labour.

We are a large sheep and beef farm situated near Lake Benmore in the Waitaki Valley.
We have two daughters, who are four and two years old.
We are preferably looking for a couple/s, or two or more friends, who are confident and show initiative. You may be asked to help clean accommodation, paint interiors, load and deliver wood, and help with landscaping and gardening.
You would have your own accommodation so that you can have time to yourselves at night to relax.

If you have a car it would be preferable (although not a necessity), as we would like to give you the opportunity to explore our area in your down time. We are also happy to arrange a pick up if you are using the bus.

We are a family of 5 living in Pisa Moorings on the side of Lake Dunstan, just outside Cromwell in Central Otago. The region has amazing outdoor pursuits with skiing, mountain biking, tramping, fishing and more on the doorstep.

Our children are 8,7 and 4 and our house is a busy one! We enjoy the outdoors, and the kids are active with sports most evenings and weekends.

We offer a double room with your own bathroom, breakfast, dinner and free wi-fi in return for 4.5 hours a day (flexible hours). We would love to share our little piece of paradise, and give travellers the opportunity to stay and play in this beautiful part of the world. There are always jobs that could be attended to such as gardening, cleaning, maintenance, and painting.

At this stage we would prefer stays of up to 7 days.

Please feel free to ask any questions.

Thanks
Ali, Mike, Will, Jake, Karina and Minx (the cat)

We have converted a large kiwi farm sheep shearing/woolshed into an amazing home and accomodation in the Waitaki Valley in North Otago.

We are doing the finishing touches to our building conversion and ongoing running of our farm. We have various tasks such as....Putting up art work, painting a caravan and artistic painting, shifting wood sticks under cover, taking out some nails, building, window cleaning, car cleaning or develop the land with organic methods. Planting /gardening/weeding. Farm tasks. Animal care. Horse riding. Cooking yummy meals. Some cleaning.
If you had building skills we have a bookshelf to make.
Or do you have any natural horsemanship and horse riding skills to help with our horse?

We have lots of musical instruments, drumkit, guitars and a baby grand piano. We make and enjoy beer, cider, wine and fruit snapps. We help run a small boutique pinot noir and riesling vineyard and at different times of year we may need some help tending to it or harvesting.... more inside

I can provide accomodation and work for a week or more for the right person/couple. You need to be practical and self motivated and willing to do anything from mowing lawns and weeding to chopping wood, to helping out with my airbnb - cleaning and changing linen. Maybe a bit of painting and diy!
In the middle of gorgeous Arrowtown this home is just a short walk to everything; the village with its great pubs and restaurants, and all the wonderful walking and biking tracks. Usual deal half day's labour in return for a bed, breakfast and dinner. Full days on/off negotiable. Get in touch!

******** Carpenters always welcome ! ********

Hi! We are an Irish/French family of 5 living in Dunedin. We have a small garden around the house and we're developing a second, more substantial, off grid organic veggie garden. We`re also working on installing a container and building a new greenhouse.
Our aim, as always, is to grow as much of our own food as we can, focusing on permaculture and winter food. Our philosophy is to try to be as independent as possible and to know what we are eating !

We live in a suburb of Dunedin and are only 10 minutes from beautiful beaches (e.g. Blackhead and Tunnel) and only 15 minutes from the city centre. There`s a bus service to Dunedin centre and plenty of things to do there too. The Otago coastline is on our doorstep ! If you`re a surfer, you`re going to love it here.

We need help setting up the garden, container and greenhouse.
In general, you will be asked to help with a range of jobs like gardening, building, woodworking, cleaning,... more inside
