Hi There! We are a fun family of 4 (children, both boys, aged 14 and 11 - one of our children is home educated) and live on an idyllic 25 acre paradise complete with veggie garden, 3 hothouses, large berry garden, fruit & nut orchard, beehives (about 25), chickens, dog, cat, rainforest & a lovely big dam for kayaking and pondering! We attend a regular local farmer's market. We have been part of the WWOOF host program for the last 10 years and have had about 200 people stay with us and really enjoy meeting new people. We love life & have varied interests but our life is very busy with Soccer and Futsal and we spend a lot of time away from home doing these activities (of which, helpers are always welcome to come along). We have a large, modern and creative home and helper accommodation is a cute cottage in the garden (however, toilet and amenities are in the family home). Work is varied/seasonal and we are happy to accommodate your skills and interests when possible, please note thoug... more inside

EAST COAST: I have just bought a vacant motel on the East Coast of Tasmania at a place named Beaumaris. It is about half way between Scamander and St Helens. I intend to use it as budget style, self-catering backpacker accommodation whilst I fix it up. At the moment there are no customers. Just Chris the owner and occasional helpers. Jobs include cleaning, tidying, painting, gardening, etc

The property has 11 separate rooms, all with showers and toilets, plus a common room, dining room, bar and kitchen. It also has room for camper vans and tents. There is a beautiful beach just over the road plus a recreation area about 3 minutes walk away which has an oval, cricket pitch, tennis court, bbq's and toilets. I have sport's equipment available plus bicycles. No charge.

I will have some photos soon but you can view under Surfside Motel in Beaumaris, Tasmania. The facebook site has good photos.
I need helpx guests to stay and help me tidy up the property. My arrangement is every ni... more inside

Our 15 acre property, 2.5km from Exeter 26k from Launceston, has fruit trees, berries and a vegetable garden. In the evenings you can see wallabies and native hens.

From October, I will be doing maintenance work in the orchard and vegetable garden. Spraying the thistles and brushcutting blackberries. If you are able to use a chainsaw that would be great.

Household help always welcome. Stays of 3 to 10 days are welcome but longer by arrangement. Full board in exchange for 25 hours work a week. Accomodation is in our house. Please, we prefer helpers to understand English and be non-smokers. Diet is mixed. Male/female bikes available. We love animals and part of our family are an inside cat and outside dog. We are a 42 and 45yo couple with 6 acres (largely bush) half an hour south of Hobart in Kettering. We have two great danes (no young kids) so you would definitely need to love dogs. Our property includes a self contained cottage which we rent out to holiday makers on Airbnb as a couples retreat. We are looking for capable, environmentally minded people (a couple or two friends/co-travellers would be ideal) to help with firewood, garden work, small building jobs and other projects like painting, pizza oven construction or establishing a vegetable garden, cleaning, home maintenance, weeding and other jobs as needed for 4 hours a day (two days off per week) - happy for you to accumulate your hours into a few days to give you more days off. Also happy to discuss various lengths of stay. You will have your own bedroom and access to a shared bathroom in the main house, WiFi and meals (or provisions if we are not about). Your evening meal will be the same as ours unless you'd prefer to coo... more inside
