Hey, my names Ibtisam (means: Smile in Arabic) and I recently moved into a flat near Ladbroke Grove Ė West London. Itís a small one bedroom with two balconies.
I really need help in transforming the flat and make it feel homely. Thereís plenty I need help with but realistically the tasks that I would imagine you doing will be painting doors, building cupboards and benches and putting up shelfs. I have some plans on what I want but could do with a more creative mind to help or even to spur mine. I may ask you to even water my plant occasionally.
Main skillset I need is carpentry, painter and decorator even at basic knowledge of knowing how to change door handles would be great!
Iím flexible with the length of stay but preferably two weeks, I would want the helper to have enough time to explore London and if this means staying over the 2 week period I would be open to negotiating
I would expect five hours a day over five days but I recognise this is subject to change but itís ... more inside

We are in a beautiful part of Shropshire, close to the Welsh border and Offa's Dyke. and are quite often able to host one or maybe two people for a week or two in return for some basic gardening, painting work or simple DIY. We are quite remote and there is not much public transport, but if you want to have some peace and quiet and some lovely walks, it might suit you. Those aged over 25 who have a current, clean driving licence and no insurance claims can use one of our cars as long as you are comfortable with manual gear change and driving on the left. Otherwise there are bikes (electric and ordinary) to get to Knighton, which is the nearest town six miles away. This October, Di is away in Africa on business so I have a long list of jobs in the garden to get done, therefore I am looking for a person or couple who are fairly handy and OK lifting things. The closest main centre is Ludlow.

About the town and area - things to do and see. (scroll down for headings on accommodation and other information)

We live on the so called `Jurassic Coast` about 50 meters from Back Beach in Teignmouth (pronounced Tin-mouth) a charming seaside town situated in Devon, arguably the most beautiful county in England. (Note: nearest city with small international airport: Exeter (approx 10 miles/ 16km). Teignmouth is a quintessential seaside English harbour town, with a little lighthouse, a pier, fishing boats bobbing in the bay as well as some big industrial ships in the small port. Its very scenic to sit on the Back Beach overlooking the Estuary towards the little town of Shaldon and up to Newton Abbot. We go to the quay a lot with a picnic tea or have a pint at the Ship Inn which is right on the water just paces from our door. The `town beach` which faces the sea is on the other side of the peninsula - 2 minutes walk away.

Just at the end of the town beach promenade there ... more inside

We are currently seaking a volunteer or volunteer couple to help us run our hostel from April through to September 2019. A minimum period of two months will suit both ourselves and our prospective volunteers interests best. Please do not reply with an offer of less than two months.

We are a modest (14 bed) backpackers hostel, in a beautiful country location close to the Eden Project and the town of St Austell in mid Cornwall.
The hostel is immediately adjacent to our cottage and utilises an existing complex of a stable yard and buildings. These have been sensitively converted into two dorms, a common area, shower block and courtyard kitchen.
We also have a modest growing area for organic soft fruits and vegetables.
The volunteer or volunteer couple are offered accommodation in our cottage with their own room and bed. Full board is provided with free use of telephone (for UK landline calls) and wifi.

We are renovating our old cottage and garden in a small village on the Suffolk/Cambridgeshire border. We are 20 minutes by train from famous historic Cambridge where you can go punting (see photo) and sightseeing. We are 5km from Newmarket where you can see the horses training or racing and we are also near historic Bury St Edmunds and Norwich. We are artists as well as gardeners and enjoy cooking and meeting people. In the future we want to create a small retreat where people who are recovering from illness or need some time out from stress can come and stay and recuperate. We are looking for people to help us to finish our project, join in and swap knowledge, skills and experiences. In exchange for 4-5 hours a day with weekends free, we can offer accommodation, food, and transport if needed to and from local areas of interest or the train station. We are gluten -free vegetarian/vegan but happy to provide non vegetarian food and are quite experienced at cooking around our own food ... more inside

Hi Everyone,

Having spent time volunteering and working in Europe several years ago, I set up a small language academy in Leeds for adults who are studying English.

We`re now looking for volunteers in July and August 2018.

We`re looking for volunteers who are native English speakers, and who would be interested in staying in our flats with the students helping them practise their English. This could be speaking English with them socially and at meal times, assisting them in their volunteer work, or taking them out on trips to nearby places of interest. If you`re interested in seeing the area, it`s a great way to do it as we pay for your expenses.

In general, you will be completely free in the mornings, and then you will do a 5 hour shift either in the afternoon (2-7pm) or the evening (7-12pm).

You won`t be expected to teach any English lessons, however if you are TEFL qualified this is a definite plus for us, so please let us know.
