Mainly horse work, cleaning and exercising available, but must not be frightened of animals, preferably a rider. We also have some maintenance work needed, for someone who can do fencing, joinery work, and painting doors etc.
If someone can do basic engineering work that would be fantastic, but not absolutely necessary.
This is a beautiful part of the UK to visit or live. One Kiwi stayed for 16 years and went home with a wife and two children, as did an Aussie
We need someone now.

Hi I am looking for a HelpX to start in March.

I own and run a schools hatching programme using eggs from my champion rare breed hens. The chicks come back to my 6 acre smallholding with fabulous views on the northern edge of Sheffield and the Peak District. I run this with my three children aged 20, 19 and 12. We also have rare breed sheep and goats, three horses, four dogs, two cats and two turkeys - so lots of interesting animals! You will need to love animals here!

VERY IMPORTANT:.....I would like someone who has initiative and can work from a list and be self motivated! I cannot always work with you, due to other work commitments, on the smaller jobs once you have been shown them.

Also someone who is used to animals and wishes to learn more about their husbandry would be ideal. Please DON'T come if you are scared of any of the animals we have here! The welfare of the animals is vital here and they come first, so that ethos is essential.

I would like someone to do... more inside

I'm looking for someone who can help with moving house.
You will be getting room and board in exchange for helping pack and unpack during the period of 16/03 - 24/03 (flexible).
I know this is short notice, but I only just thought of trying to find someone.
If you have handyman skills, all the better!

Hello helpers

Welcome to our listing page.

We have a space to offer one or two people who can help with
generally looking after our home, B&B and garden and possibly cook a few times a week if we have a similar approach to food
or /and help with some simple carpentry, building work, painting, clearing etc..

We have space now, for a minimum of two weeks, but would prefer longer stays.

A bit about us: We are a family of 3 and 1 cat. We are living in a beautiful part of Devon, at the edge of fields and stunning views but very close to Totnes, one of the most alternative towns in the UK. We are involved in holistic work with families, from pregnancy onwards, running a small computer business and offering accommodation (mostly in the summer).

We have two types of exchange available:
In exchange for 20 hours work a week we offer comfortable accommodation in a clean and warm 16ft caravan, breakfast and a nourishing meal (mostly organic) 5 days a week.
At weeken... more inside

We are very lucky to live on a farm in the beautiful Lake District, just on the edge of the National Park in Cumbria; the farm dates back to the late 1600's. Over the years parts of it have been renovated and added to and some parts are looking a little sorry for themselves! My mother, myself, my sister and my 8yr old nephew live and work on the farm running a small accommodation business and a successful Friesian horse equestrian centre. We have big plans for the place in the future, however for now we could do with a little help with day-to-day living.

We are on the outskirts of the lovely village of Cartmel which is home to a small racecourse, several very good restaurants and it is famous for it's Sticky Toffee Pudding. You can walk into the village from the farm in just under 20 minutes and there is a local grocery store and several pubs where you can meet friendly locals and visitors from all over the world. The nearest town is Kendal which is about a 20 minute drive away o... more inside
