Hi,

We are very lucky to have a beautiful pocket of land set in the rolling hills of Devon, surrounded by stunning countryside. We are looking for help with various small projects. We're in Mid Devon and it's half hour drive to lovely beaches, 15 minutes into the historic city of Exeter and half hour to Dartmoor.

The land is a mixture of meadow bordered by traditional hedges, deciduous trees and has a lovely little stream running along one side. There gare 3 hectares in total, we have half and the other half belongs to friends. We are a small alternative community where everyone has their own home but come together for social... more inside

Hi,
We are James and Sukamala, tenants at Wild Geese Acres, Greenham Reach, which is an off-grid, low-impact farming project established in north Devon by the Ecological Land Coop (ELC)
We are looking for someone (friends and couples too) to help out on our smallholding for the 2019 season with our established salad and vegetable business and to help with livestock and practical building and maintenance jobs. Most work/exchange requests will be considered but generally we are looking for weeks or months at a time between March and October 2019. In exchange for 4 days work a week (individuals) or 3 days work (two people) we are offering accommodation in a large static caravan. Utilities are included there is solar PV electricity and a brand new wind 1KW wind turbine and gas for cooking and a wood burner for heating. We run a small, attractive 4 bedroom guest house, in picturesque St Ives Cornwall, England, which has 4 stunning sandy beaches and a working harbour. Our guesthouse is very close to the surfing Porthmeor Beach.

We are offering a part-time opportunity for 4-6 weeks,(depending on your availability), ideally covering the period between September 11 - late October/early November 2019. Please note, the weeks prior to September 11 have already been filled.

We are flexible on timings and happy to discuss your preferred arrival and departure dates.

Approx 13-16 hours per week - spread across 6 mornings - usually between the hours of 10am - 1.30 pm. Therefore, 1 full day per week, as well as all afternoons and evenings are free. Leaving plenty of down time for the volunteer, which is particularly good news for any EU citizens who may wish to seek a part-time temporary job, outside of guest house hours. Please note, if you wish to do this, apply for a National Insurance Number, (U... more inside

Single person or couple. Are you free ideally for minimum 5 months from about June until end October 2019? We are looking for an open-minded, relaxed and efficient person to come and help in a BnB and family household. This is mostly domestic work in the kitchen (the hub of the house which needs constant tidying and cleaning!) also providing back-up cleaning in the B&B, sometimes meeting and greeting, waitressing where required.

There is plenty of opportunity to improve your English with lots of conversation in the house on a variety of subjects. If you come as a couple, one can work in the local village.

Flexibility and positivity key to your enjoyment here! I can put you in touch with some previous helpers so you can get an idea of what it's like. Must be happy in the countryside and to self-entertain as this is a rural location - but there is always something to do. Let me know if you have any questions!

We live in a 16th thatched cottage in the countryside. We share it with spiders.. It has a wild cottage garden that we would love to have help with. The front garden needs digging and clearing of brambles etc and the back garden needs the same. You need to be fit and prepared to get muddy and dirty! We can offer accomodation in our old cottage and meals. I can also offer felt making workshop. We have a shower and bath. Cosy bedroom. A driver with own transport would be good, but not essential, as some rubbish to take to tip. One friendly dog and a cat. Wifi weak. A two week stay would be ideal. Would prefer smokers to smoke outside. Immediate start, please as trying very hard to tidy up prior to selling. Thank you.

Now FILLED for SUMMER 2019.

Looking for one or two helpers for the 2019 season Apr/May to Sep/Oct. With possibility of winter work.

We are a busy glamping and wedding venue on the England/Wales border. Family owned and run we live onsite and enjoy looking after our guests. We own horses, pigs, dogs and cats and hope to add donkeys and pygmy goats.

If you're looking for a fun place to work with nice people, you've found it. We will make you welcome and feed you well. There's lots to do but we are fair and reasonable hosts.

Our site is 5 miles away from the busy market town of Oswestry, Shropshire. The village bus runs into town twice a week and so it would be essential for helpers to have their own transport.

We are very hands on and currently do all the practical work ourselves with help from our children and part-time staff (who would continue). Just as we do, we would expect helpers to join in with whatever is needed. Experience in some or all of the following usefu... more inside

We are also always looking for carpenters or diy skills.

We are not an intentional community although there are 11 people living here.
Please no pets, no children.
Smoke outside the room.
There is only one pub with a small shop in the village otherwise it is very quiet.

We are a family farm, with a dairy herd of Brown Swiss cows on a New Zealand paddock grazing system.
We grow as much of the cattle feed as possible. We also have an anaerobic digester 180KWh

We have hosted several people through other schemes, vetinary students, cheesemakers, people interested in anaerobic digestion, we are Warmshowers hosts.
Helpers could be involved with calf rearing, cheesemaking or working to restore our walled garden, according to skills and interests

Its warm here, the hot water from the anaerobic digestion heats the house!
