Hello prospective helpers. We are looking for some help in the garden, cutting down bushes and trees and digging. The village is picturesque but quiet and rural. We have two bikes but a car would help you enjoy the area. There is lots to see in the area in the summer and we are happy to advise where to go. In return we would like you to help us 5 hours a day for 5 days a week. We are close to Narbonne, Beziers and Carcassonne, about 40mins from the med. Lots of cycling and walking especially on the canal du midi.

We are a young french couple who are living in the Hautes-Pyrénées, near Lannemezan.
Fabien is mountain guide, and Charlene is farmer.

We have a big garden with medicinals plants and vegetables. We are experimenting different ways to cultivate. We are always satisfied to learn various agricultural technicals. It is important for us to use all the resources that we have on the spot, plants, trees, compost, shearing, rather than to bring elements from outside.
We sell our production with two market by week so it's lot of work!
We have five cheeps, five chickens and two cats.Sometimes, there is dunkeys in the place to eat grass.

The activities are diverse: mainly of the gardening(weeding, ground work, seedling, plant and transplant), take care a few sheeps, sort out seeds and spices, make the picking of wild plants, prepare herb teas and prepare the market.
Generally we work the week and you can take you week end free to visit or what you want.

Hamlet in need of help to do repairs, fence mending, garden management, roofing repairs etc.
in a lovely peaceful environment in the SW of France near the mounts of Blond, the picturesque towns of Bellac and St Junien and Limoges.
Relaxation at its best here. There are many touristic things to see also if you so wish.
Access is OK as its only 25 minutes from the Airport. If you like walking or hiking its a paradise for you.
You can cook for yourself or share meals with me, you'll have your own room and spare time to do as you wish as I only need help for 4 hours a day for 5 days.
There is Internet but its slow.
and Yes you can drink the water its really clean, there are even mountain source waters.
I'm seeking someone really handy, perhaps someone close to my age group as it's been hard to do physical jobs i.e. wood cutting and fencing.

Look forward to hearing from you if this appeals to you.

Update (30 April 2019)
We are looking for a couple of enthusiastic helpers who would be happy to help us in our organic fruit and veg garden, the other gardens and also other jobs around the place including gite/yurt changeovers, looking after customers, helping to prepare meals and tidy up in the house and generally just living as part of our family.

There are always projects on the go that you can get involved with also including tree planting, building a puddled pond, building a cob bread oven, renovating an old pigeon tower and flooring a cart shed to make it suitable for group yoga,it will be a really busy crazy time but should be fun as well.

Please see our website and Facebook page for more information on what we are about and get in contact if you are interested.

In return for all of your hard work you can expect to have some great evenings around the camp fire chatting or playing music and enjoying great food and the odd glass of local wine. There will also be... more inside

Perrine, 56 years old, is a self-employed accountant and administrator.

Denis, 55 years old, gave up his career as collective kitchen fitter and repairer to renovate this former summer camp and turn it into a holiday resort which will also provide reception halls for rent.

We have been together for over twenty years and are rather good at DIY (we have already renovated a three floor house near Paris, where we used to live), but we need help to renovate this place, where we have been living for almost a year now, because it’s too big for just the two of us.

Located on the banks of the Aveyron river in Tarn and Garonne, about three kilometers from the village of Saint Antonin Noble Val (cittaslow labelled), our property is made of three separate buildings: an old mill, a very old building full of charm (approximately 600m2) and a more recent building (approximately 500m2). The land is about 18 acres wide and consists of garden, woodland and meadow. The area offers a wide var... more inside
