Hello :) I'm a mom of two wonderful twin babies...I live alone with them in my little house, 5 minutes from a nice atlantic coast city called La Rochelle. I'm looking for helpers, because life alone with 2 young babies is sometimes hard...I just need someone 2-3 hours per day, mostly between noon and 2pm, and between 6 and 8pm...just to keep an eye on the babies while I take my shower, to cook if I didn't have the time to do it, same thing for dishwashing and house keeping... We will work out the schedule together, it will depend on my needs and your activities during your free time... you can be lodged but not fed, I have a room for you. and you are free to do whatever you like all along your stay, as long as you are not noisy from 8pm as the babies need calm ... I prefer if you stay at least 2 weeks, but you can contact me even if it's just for one week...or several months ;) I speak english, and just a little bit spanish. Don't hesitate to contact me if you want more information ... more inside

Seven years ago I was a marketing student in Spain. Depressed and extremely unconfident about myself, an amazing and horrifying experience took place in my life, taking away from me everything. No more hope, no more dreams, no more sense, no more life.

And then, Life came in. With all its Magic, with all its Love.

I quit my studies, came to France, and travelled for a couple of years around Europe and Asia, following an inner force that guided me towards a more human and nature loving existence. People, permaculture, biointensive gardening, yoga, meditation, healthy food, music, all came into me with such an obvious and important place in what started to become a happy, simple, rich and meaningful path.

Two years ago I bought 1 hectare of magic land, and started to create a food forest. Since march 2017, I have 3 more hectares in which I'm setting a biointensive garden and a food forest combined with a miniature cob village specially created to connect children, but not o... more inside

We are restoring a fabulous castle with 365 windows that still badly need TLC : putty, linseed oil, varnish... April, May, June, September, October are usually fine. July and August are not a time when works can be done at the chateau as visitors are around.
We would be very glad to welcome one or two people who are fond of old places and heritage. There are lots of other things that need doing as well. If you like refurbishing, if you are good at clearing up, carpentering, plumbering or gardening... you'll have lots to keep you busy !
We live in the South West of France, the Dordogne, in an area where there is lots to visit and enjoy.
We don't actually live in the chateau (so there is some travelling involved) but in town which is nice because Périgueux is a lovely little city right in the center of the Dordogne.
You will be able to share our family life with our teenage daughter. We often have our children and grand-children during the holidays.
We speak both French & En... more inside

Hi!
I'm looking for help in my house (mostly cleaning) and small garden, which is in an allotment. I live in a house/apartment in the center of the city, about 400m from the sea. You will have your own room, shared bath with me. Meals will be provided, can be vegetarian. I'm looking for someone who will do easy work 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, either inside or out, depending on the moment. This is a non-smoking house, no drugs at all, no partying. I speak English, French and some German. I am a retired woman, active in social-work volunteer activities, in nature preservation activities, in cultural activities, and gardening.
My home is easily reached by public transportation. The city has all sorts of interesting things to do, be it in sports (water sports mostly!) or cultural activities. You will have plenty of time off to use! And I can show you a few of the more "off the track" things!
Best length of stay would be for one to two weeks.

We need helpers specifically for June and August 2019
We’d like someone who can do the following jobs with one help and advice from myself.
Chickens need letting out in the morning about 9.0am and feeding and watering and shutting up at night, they take themselves to bed but need counting and locking in.
The sheep need additional feed and water needs checking a couple of times a day. Experience with bees could be a help.
In the long term we really want people who are keen to learn about gardening organically and don't mind getting their hands dirty.
We can provide a selection of work clothes and some footwear .
There wll be garden work, weeding flower and veg beds. Harvesting red fruits and preserving them is possible.
Adaptability and common sense are invaluable working in our situation.
We usually speak English in the house so it could be useful for those who wish to improve their English as well as their French.
Some Helpx have completed or started studies while her... more inside

We are a French/Australian artist couple, living 6 months of the year in France, in our two-storey stone Provencal “mas”. Navacelles is a small village in the South of France, an hour's drive North of Nimes and an hour's West of Avignon and only 30 minutes from the famous medieval town of Uzes.
Our “mas” is in the process of renovation after having been abandoned for 19 years. After two intensive 6 months, we have completed 90% of it, i.e: the kitchen and large living space downstairs and two large bedrooms upstairs-each with ensuite - and a separate small office/library space. We have begun landscaping work around the main building and envisage continuing that work as well as beginning to work on one of two small independent buildings, currently in a poor state, but which could become artists’residencies.
We are both visual artists with many years of renovation experience and are looking for help with both the landscaping work and the building renovation. So experience and skil... more inside

Salut,
