I'm looking for helpers to help renovate a cottage here. Nick the current helpx would love the help and the company! We're a large old farm, which isn't really farmed anymore. We have agricultural land, a plum orchard and a vinyard as well as the area allotted to the garden. The main house is let out in high season, and the rest of the year we get the odd bed & breakfast. It's a huge place with loads of potential - and basically I need all the help I can get. We have great parties here in season - there is the walled garden - then there is the barn area which is now a venue - then there's the land! A lot has been done in the last 7 years - but there's still a long way to go! I've got the vision - I'm hoping to find people who will also come and have that same passion - it's that sort of place! Everyone who comes always wants to come back!

We have many different things that need doing - from renovation of the buildings to veg growing and gardening, painting, even cutting gr... more inside

We live in a beautiful, traditional 'longere' in the Pays de la Loire, with a bright & airy, two bedroom Gite attached to our house for our helpxers to stay in. There's WiFi available or, if you haven't got a device, you can access the Internet on our office computer. We have a small project music studio attached to our property too.

Our home is in a beautiful rural area, but is only 2km from the nearby town of Gorron, so it's an easy & pretty walk or bike ride away.

Our aim here is to live by Permacultural principles and have created lots of different habitats for our wild friends. We grow our own vegetables and fruit and we also raise some free range poultry for the table and for eggs and have two cats whose job is to be naughty!

We are looking for people to give help with our newly planted woodland - bramble busters are always needed - ditch clearing, compost making or whatever is pressing at that time. We think sustainable living is very important and 'waste' is... more inside

Our names are John, Siriluck and Tom our 5 year old son.
We are trying to create a wonderful environment in which to live.
https://vimeo.com/138128782
Our first priority is to build our family home and we're looking for help to build it. The house is well advanced now and we will be doing the internal rendering from 20 July.No special building knowledge needed. (don't worry, I'll be on site and the buck stops with me).
Sometimes there is some work to be done in the wood.
We provide a caravan for accommodation and good food. You will also be sharing our Yurt with us, especially at meal times. We ask 5 hours a day for 5 days every week.
The house, to our knowledge, is the first Cob build in the South of France. It's actually a hybrid with load bearing Straw Bales on the North wall. 50 cm thick cob walls, bioclimatic greenhouse, lime/acacia foundations, natural stone plinth, lime and earth renders, rocket stove, self-build solar panels.
At the time of writing we are busy C... more inside

Bonjour,

I'm a 62 years old woman, young in my mind, living in a woody area where there is a lot to do as I moved in a year ago. If you like simple life in a calm and natural area you'll enjoy here. It can be good to have a car, as the closest city is at 5 km, otherwise you can borrow a bike. I'm also happy to share with you my beautiful region. My english is very poor (my daughter and google translate helped me to write this text!) so you need to have at least notions of french to communicate and understand! I'm happy to improve my english with you!
I live in a large house, and my son, daughter in law, and my grandchildrens who live in a separate housing. I offer a private room, with a separate access. You can also use internet (wifi).
I have a cat and hens.
I would need a hand an average of 25hours a week (5 or 6 days a week), depending the weather. We don't start before 11 in the morning.
Duties are various :
-Woody fences
-Small carpentry
-carry wood and take care of... more inside

Beautiful location in the foothills of the Pyrenees.
Looking for help with stone walling, woodcuttingand rebuilding classic 2CV!
A warm welcome awaits you! It would suit a more mature person (45 upwards) as it's a very rural area with no WIFI. There is mobile reception though.
The house has 4 bedrooms and generated electricity.
If you would like to stay at a quiet location surrounded by nature this is for you.

We are young parents, starting an organic farm. We practice the permaculture growing method. The project is just starting, and we will need your energy and cooperation cooperate with the day to day activities.

We have been woofers ourselves in 2010/2011 in New Zealand, and it was one of the best year of our life. We feel like sharing our project with you. We just settled in a beautiful place, that's a castle. There is plenty of room for people, and enough land to develop a vegetables garden, and other projects. Everything is to be done.

We will need your help to restore the henhouse, to do some gardening, to maintain the domain, and other various jobs, depending on your skills and will.

Please contact us to organise your stay !

Bonjour amis Woofers ! Nous sommes de jeunes parents qui démarrent un projet de maraîchage en permaculture et pour ça nous allons avoir besoin de toutes les bonnes volontés !

The house is located near by the see, it is also a place where one can have exhibition, organize concerts, it will become a place of creation, as a little place to welcome travelers.

We need somebody to build a bread wood fire kiln, to settle the heater, you can make some plantations too, and have a good swim everyday.

We are an easy-going Australian / French couple with a small holding in rural Charente. We would love to meet people with an interest in animals, gardening and some carpentry / building skills to help out around the place. A willingness to undertake some painting and light housework duties would also be much appreciated. No heavy lifting work. We offer a comfortable private room with an en-suite bathroom. Step out of the room directly to a salt water swimming pool. The location is very quiet and scenic and ideal for people who are into walking, cycling, canoeing, etc. However, we are not far from Ruffec and Angouleme which both have railway stations.
