We'd love some help cleaning up our beach and building a small rock wall approx 12 inches high for catching the sand to make a nice beach. There's also some clearing of dead branches on the beach. OR we need some steps built on a bush track. Or we need a bench seat built on a bush track. Or we need some inside painting walls in a small room.

Our 12.9 hectare property is 10km's from Renwick, and 4 km's from State Highway 6. It consists of exotic/native trees and shrubs; pasture; orchard; chicken runs; and vegetable plots. We started 9 years' ago planting predominantly heritage fruit and vegetables organically for sale at the local Farmers' Market. Over the years we have added animals to the property and today we have 3 steers, 3 goats, 2 pigs, 3 calves, 32 hens, 2 roosters, 3 lambs and 4 chicks.

From September until May we need assistance with spraying, compost making, weeding, mulching, sowing, planting, propagation, brush-cutting, animals, building tunnel houses, and picking produce for the local Farmers' Market.

Accommodation is a tidy caravan placed in our orchard a short distance from our house. Food will be supplied for breakfast, lunch and dinner with vegetables/fruit available from our gardens. Some meals will be shared with us. Your working day starts at 8 a.m. and finishes at 1 p.m. with morning tea ... more inside

We are Nigel and Sue-semi-retired and have been living here for 9 years. This has been our holiday house for over 20 years. Our house is in a secluded bay with water access only into Picton, our nearest town, just 15mins away. Native wood pigeons, tuis and bellbirds are just some of the wonderful birds living in the native bush which surrounds us. We encourage the health and vigour of our native trees by removing gorse and wilding pines. We have our own jetty and beach where it is safe to swim and kayak in the calm inland waterways(similar to fiords)- we are frequently visited by dolphins. Double Cove is a fishing reserve but it is possible to fish beyond the edge of the bay only 100 metres away. We enjoy bushwalking with our 9 year old labrador, Fraser and have a vege garden. We would very much like to have some help with track clearing, gardening, wood collecting and general outside and inside work. We like helpers at all times of year weather permitting, but not between Dec and F... more inside

Hi There
We live in the beautiful Awatere Valley on a sheep and Beef farm. We also have a few grapes. We live 50kms from Blenheim, so your own transport would be essential. We have young children so it is always busy and noisy but very friendly!! We are a relaxed and easy going family.
The Helper will have their own wee cottage. We are flexible about meals - you can come and eat with our family. There will be highspeed internet access in the cottage.
There will be a range of jobs to do, including farm work, gardening, painting, vineyard work, farm sitting.

We are a horse-orientated hunting and showjumping family based in the Wairau Valley, Marlborough.

Our farm is set on 25 acres in a rural setting. 20 minutes drive from Blenheim CBD.

We go into town every couple of days so you won't be stuck on a farm in the middle of the sticks for days on end wondering when you will ever see a shop again.....

We have several horses in work and farm related duties that go hand in hand with our horse work such as cleaning gear and mucking out paddocks.

Our daughter is 7 years old, so some au pair work will be required.

We can offer you accomodation in our lovely new home and meals in exchange for your work.

Please feel free to contact us for more information.
