We have renovated a luxurious historic homestead located on edge of Shepparton in Victoria which has some B&B accommodation. The garden is 2 hectares with forests, a lake and a sunken garden. It is used for weddings, garden tours, wedding receptions and small functions. It is located 180km north of Melbourne in the heart of the fruit and wine region of Victoria and 40 minutes from the mighty Murray River. To view photos of the property go to the website listed above and a video of the property on YouTube. Our garden was in the Australian open garden scheme for 20 years and is often used for charity events. It is very large to maintain in peak condition and we would love you to come and assist us with the garden and homestead maintenance. In particular our organic vegie garden becomes overgrown very quickly at times and we use the produce from this to feed our guests or make home made preserves, pickles and chutneys. Dependent on the time of year your stay could involve anything fro... more inside

We are a retired couple & have a 3/4 acre garden that requires weeding, pruning, hedge clipping and general maintenance.
Our house is large with a bedroom & bathroom for helpers either single or double beds
Work would entail mainly outdoor work, watering, weeding, cutting back plants general gardening work.
We have had lots of young people live & work with us over the past 20 years & still keep in touch with many of them. We are a permaculture farmlet where two energetic families share a house. We are located just outside of Warburton in the Yarra Valley, VIC. On our small property we keep bees, do lots of organic gardening through the seasons, train a young camels and have heaps of fun doing it. So with all that happening we certainly have have lots of knowledge to share with the right volunteers.

Our house is off the grid hexagonal mud brick, you would stay in a caravan on the property. We would expect 4 hrs work a day in return for meals and accomodation.
