Currently looking for keen and energetic people who can join us in making our piece of Paradise even better. We're looking for people who can start from now onwards.

Projects for this Summer include renovating our timber veranda, building some wicking beds for the vegetable garden, getting bird nets ready for the fruit orchard and building a fancy-fairytale chook (chicken) shed that would fascinate kids.

There may also be other work:
getting our berry patch ready, composting, mulching, chainsawing of storm fallen trees & limbs, weed & grass control, mowing, pruning, planting seedlings, fixing garden beds and irrigation systems, netting of fruit trees, net repair, tidying up the property, firewood, cooking.

Our house is on top of a ridgeline in rolling granite hill country with great views. Our western red cedar home has a wide veranda on 3 sides; we eat many of our meals outside here absorbing the scenery or occasionally just relax with a book in the hammocks.
There a... more inside

We have helpers most of the time here and one has just left to take up a paid position milking on a dairy farm in South Australia .

At the moment we need people to help paint some rooms in the house and to clean the dairy each morning.

WHAT DO YOU GET FROM HELPING HERE AND SHOWING THAT YOU ARE A GOOD WORKER????? YOU get a REFERENCE from us , which is an AUSTRALIAN reference and will lead to LOTS of other paid work-whether you are planning on staying for good in Australia or simply working your way around as a tourist.

BUT... We NO LONGER TAKE HELPERS WHO DO NOT UNDERSTAND FARM LIFE. You can't learn farming in a week, so if you have experience with rural living OUTDOORS then we would like to hear from you.

We live on a farm which provides a great deal of our food. We always have meat ( chicken, pork, beef, lamb) in the freezer and eggs ( duck , guinea fowl, pheasant, hen) and goat milk. We also grow vegetables.

We have fabulous food every day - Thai curries, p... more inside

We are trying to use native plants as much as possible. We are hoping to reach one day zero waste.

We are looking for one or two volunteers or 2 couples (there is 1 double bed and a queen) at a time to help in our garden and veggie patch using permaculture and bio-dynamic principles, looking ... more inside

Looking for a helper in Melbourne

Our happy little family is made up of Matt (52) Cleo (9) and Emmanuelle (Teddy) (7). The girls are with me half the time - usually Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon to Wednesday morning.

I work full-time as a barrister, Cleo and Teddy are at school nearby.

I would like to exchange about 15 hours work for room and board inc food, and unlimited wifi. I am looking for a bit of help mainly(but not entirely) half of the working week when the girls are with me, which could involve:
- helping getting the girls ready in the morning;
- getting them to school ;
- some shopping and house-keeping;
- picking the girls up from school;
- preparing dinner for the girls;
- occasionally helping getting the girls to bed (usually by 7:30).

I am very involved with the girls and have been doing everything for past years but need help as a back up in case of work commitments. I expect I will be around for most mornings and evenings, but it would be... more inside
