Gudday! My husband Chris and I, with our 3 year old twins live on a beautiful property beside National Park rainforest, and minutes away from Lake Eacham on the Atherton Tablelands - 1 hour drive from Cairns. We are an easy going family who love the outdoors, camping, fishing, good food and great company. We are non smokers. Chris is originally from America, and I am a local Aussie / Norwegian!

We have cattle on the property, chickens, quail, a large dog and a cuddly cat. We have a swimming pool and a couple of small creeks that run through the property and there's even an amazing private waterfall a short walk away. There are walking tracks through the rain forest, and so much to see and do in the region.

In exchange for room and board, we are looking for a motivated couple or two singles (shared room, queen and single bed) to help us get on top of our gardens, housework and odd jobs. Our twins keep my hands full and on my toes, so I need a little help to get the place look... more inside

I operate a beef cattle farm, running up to 1500 head of cattle. Mustering is done using quad bikes and sometimes a helicopter. The property is located 120 km north east of Roma, Queensland. Nearest town an hours drive away, own transport useful if you want to do sightseeing in area but otherwise not essential, happy to pick up/drop off from all bus services to here. Usually do weekly run into town for food, etc.

Daily chores can include checking stock waters, starting pumps, fencing, feeding chickens, cleaning and help with 2 very friendly dogs.

I am a recent host to HelpX but have hosted a lot of backpackers, and 2nd year visa visitors over the years and enjoy learning of others cultures, ways and international foods. Also well traveled myself. Meals usually shared together and food provided. Accommodation is good sized room to yourself in the house. Mobile phone service and internet available through Telstra. I require helpers at anytime of year. Prefer longer stays of 2-3 ... more inside

Hi,
I live on a really beautiful rural property that i am slowly turning into a sustainable organic hobby farm homestead with a focus around health and well being.

It is about 40mins drive South of Cairns, there are a few transport options that i can discuss with you if you are interested.

If you have experience with chickens and love it in the garden, i am keen to hear from you, i need to learn heaps about having chickens and feeding them organically with a super healthy diet and anything else that will have me the healthiest, tastiest eggs far and wide and keep them safe from predators.

I live on the 10 acres with my 2 dogs.
It's more camping and play than work until the ideas are set down and then supplies can be bought to do some projects.
I need some help with working out best path for trees and the right sort of trees, mulch, landscaping ideas etc,

I would love some feedback and ideas of how this can place can be guided towards a health and well being, sustaina... more inside
