We have two needs

Temporary- from late september to mid december we need help in our commercial dairy. This can be paid work

permanently- we need and electrical or mechanical engineer to maintain our anaerobic digestor and develop our emission management plant.

We are a family farm, with a dairy herd of Brown Swiss cows on a New Zealand paddock grazing system.
We grow as much of the cattle feed as possible. We also have an anaerobic digester 180KWh
Our outputs are cheese and electricity. We are not organic, but have received many awards for education and sustainable farming/green energy/environmental issues.
We have hosted several people through other schemes, vetinary students, cheesemakers, people interested in anaerobic digestion, we are Warmshowers hosts.
We are particularly interesrested in helpers who are able to help in teh cheeserooms making cheese.

Its warm here, the hot water from the anaerobic digestion heats the house!

Accommodation in our lowly but characterful three hundred year old fen edge cottage. Its scruffy and often a bit dirty as I'm decluttering the house and improving a horse yard Iíve just taken over these days. But summer is still here and its beautiful if you like animals and countryside and medieval cities and scruffy old cottages.

Its exactly halfway along the road from Cambridge to Newmarket, the capital of horseracing. Itís 7 miles from each centre. That takes about 15 mins in flowing traffic and considerably more in rush hour.
Urgently in need of helpers at the moment Please come

There is a bus into town(s) from the corner and there is also the park and ride service which is cheaper and quicker than the regular bus which is nearby so we can always run you to or from there in our car.

We are a couple in our mid sixties. I'm a semi-retired freelance English language teacher, trainer. My hope is to care for retired horses along with my own. I also have 4 cats, a dog, a... more inside

I am looking for helpers to help me get my house in order. I am finding that I cant keep up with everything that needs doing. I would appreciate help with things like general maintenance, helping build a shed, lifting plasterboard and fixing, gardening, cleaning and things like this.
Anyone who can fix cycles would also be welcome as I have 2 that need attention. One that needs a new chain and the other problems with brakes.
In return I can offer accommodation and meals and help you to improve your English. I also have bicycles to explore the surrounding areas such as The New Forest and Studland/ Purbeck.
I live in Bournemouth, which is a very nice beach resort on the south coast. It has a lovely beach.
I live within a 15 minute walk or short bus ride from the Town centre, beach and nightlife.

When not exploring Bournemouth
there is lots to see and do.
The new forest is not far away with excellent walking and cycle trails and quant villages. It can be reached by train in... more inside

We have been hosting helpers since 2011 and enjoy meeting people from all over the world, sharing food and cooking and hearing about other cultures.
We like to host a couple or 2 friends, preferably with some gardening experience. We need people from March onwards. There is a range of jobs depending on the time of year including pruning trees, picking fruit and veg, fencing, pond clearing, small building work, decorating, cooking, weeding, planting, making bonfires etc.
It is a large wildlife friendly garden, orchard, poly tunnel, veg, pond and coppice wood/hedges. We make sure the work is suitable for your level of experience and welcome your ideas too.
Artists studio in the garden running printmaking courses.

Accommodation is 2 double bedrooms in the house, or in simple small wooden house in the garden. This has a compost toilet and a solar panel that does lighting, so a peaceful place to stay.

Ideally we prefer two people together as it makes the work easier. We invite ... more inside

We are a family home comprising of 6 of us (us and our 4 grown up tribe who stay at home sometimes) coming and going , 2 dogs, a rabbit and 3 sheep ecolawn mowers. There is usually lots going on and we like that. We are looking for an individual or couple that are both happy to muck in and be hands on. Short stays are fine, longer stays considered. There are lots of things to do inside the house and out, but we are quite relaxed and open to new ideas. It would be hugely beneficial to us if you have any skills such as carpentry. At this time of year, we need help with a variety of tasks, from strimming and brush cutting, to collecting and preparing firewood. The large garden is always in need of weeding and pruning. Cooking and cleaning are always a welcome addition.
We are at the beginning of growing food and making the most of the land but would like help to build on this. There is also plenty of space for camping, definitely welcome skills to help to build a compost loo, compost... more inside

We have moved into some barns which we converted half into a home and half into an engineering workshop. We are surrounded by spectacular countryside with opportunity for walking and cycling. You would have lots of opportunity to meet people as there are always friends and family visiting so it is a fantastic place to practice english. There is a train station 3 miles away. We have four lovely children aged 10, 9 and 7, and 1, chickens and a vegetable garden.
We have a bedroom and bathroom at the other end of our house so you would have privacy and not be woken up early! We hope to have people who enjoy spending time with children, can help us in the garden and poly tunnel, and help running our busy house hold. (Hanging up washing, help in the kitchen etc)

A 200 year old cotswold stone house located in a small village near Stroud. It has a good size garden on a slope with woodland above and is located in a conservation area within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty backing on to the Toadsmoor valley. The house is 25 mins walk from Stroud town centre and has recently undergone major refurbishment which is still ongoing. There are a few shops in the village as well as a pub nearby. The house is surrounded with the hills and countryside on your doorstep...great for forest walks and there are lovely lakes to swim in nearby.. English, Spanish and French is spoken. Helpers stay can stay in a double room or camp in the garden if they like. We aim to work an average of 5 hours per day, 4 days p/week. I have a toddler daughter who lives with me half the week and she's very easy going and sweet.
