New openings for helpers starting April 2018! We are a small organic Agri business. We produce speciality heirloom tomato and other vegetable seeds and seedlings which are sold at farmers markets. We are also an organic Garden cooperative in which our goal is to create a socially responsible and community based project that feeds its members and connects them to where the food comes from. We also run a small B&B. So volunteer work can be doing anything from gardening chores to working in the greenhouse to helping at farmers markets to cleaning and making beds.
We only take helpers from April through October.

Hello! We are living in the quiet and beautiful countryside of south-east Styria on a small farm with our kids (8 and 5 years old), our rabbits, our sheep, chickens, cats and donkeys.

We have been working a lot for the last 10 years to build up the farm from scratch. And now we have reached a point where many things are finished but some are always postponed due to lack of time and energy.

Our farm shall be mainly for self supply, surpluses can be sold or be given away.

Our Family (Martin, Katharina, 2 children) is living in a very small (farm)village, uphill, 60km southeast from Graz, inbetween the European Protection Area "Natura 2000" near Hungary.

We are always lucky of nice people and good workers to join in. Ongoing projects:
- building structures and installations for keeping animals (stable and fence for sheep/horses)
- feed animals, clean stables
- seeding vegetables and trees, weeding, harvesting
- child care

and more....

All year:
- making firewood... more inside

Hello,

We are a middle aged couple. I (Isi) stay at home and Wolfi works as a postman in Klagenfurt. Our chirdren (26 and 27) both study in Vienna, but they visit us quite often.

We have a busy lifestyle. My interest include painting, travelling, skiing (we are both ski instructors for children), cooking and cheerishing family lifestyle. Wolfi's main hobby is music. He plays saxophone, clarinet, flute and often performs with his own band.

We live in Tiffen, in a 250 years old, beautiful house located at the bottom of a mountain. Tiffen is a tiny, lovely Austrian village. We have a large backyard with a path leading onto the mountain. In our small fields we grow garlic, asparagus, strawberries, tomatoes and some other vegetables. All is organic and chemical-free.

The nearest city, Feldkirchen, is 3 km away. In the vicinity there's a big lake, Ossiachersee (5 km away), and lots of mountains, of course.

We would like you to work up to 4 hours a day, there is always som... more inside

We are a family with 4 very nice kids (from 7 to 13 years),1 dog, 3 cats, some chicken and ducks.

Our mongolian yurt is big enough to give shelter for 5 people (it´s very cosy and comfortable inside). There´s also a very old caravan (that can be adapted easily) in our garden to host helpers.

We invite friendly, calm, open minded and easy going people to share some time with us.
If YOU like gardening, building different things, or help anything spontaneously, we will be very thankful for your help.
We appreciate speaking french or english to us (especially to our kids) but other languages shouldn´t be seen as obstacles either. We can share our shower, towels, washing-machine, wi-fi, food... with our helpers.
Our home is located in an amazing landscape and we´d be proud to show YOU all that magic and harmonic places around.

The next town is Weiz and it takes 5 min by car, 15 min by bike, or 1 hr by feet to get there. (YOU can come with us anytime or borrow one of our... more inside

Live and work at a true Austrian alpine farm. Very remote!

This is for volunteers who look for a really remote place and simple life. You will be working with cows, check and repair fences at a rough, remote alpine place with stunning views and lots of wildlife.

You should be in a good physical condition, ready to walk on step mountains and not afraid of cows.

The place ist stunningly beautiful in days of good wheather. However, you will be experiencing heavy thunderstorms, stormy days and even snow in summer.

The next village is minimum one hour walk away. The place is at 1700m, the area where the animals graze is huge and step. The pastures reach up to 2000m.

You will be able to observe wildlife a lot - dear, eagle, fox and many others. It is not a commercial place tourists visit.

It is a place for true lovers of nature and lonely places and farming life with big animals.

We are a couple in our 50s who recently took the place and look for ways to run it in a... more inside

Our small homestead lies in Bocksdorf near Stegersbach in the southern Burgenland. We, Claudia and Hans, have been living on the idyllic spot since 2010. We aim for self sufficiency. Our goats, chicken and the garden are the base for that. The scattered fruit tree meadow and the forest supply us with work, but still bees, rabbits, deer, pheasants and sometimes a fox have a rendezvous. Our goal is to live in harmony with nature. We are looking forward to meeting like minded people.

You can learn milking, making Topfen (a kind of cottage cheese), destilling Schnaps and easy tasks in the forest.

Helpers will be provided meals and their own room, shower, and toilet in exchange for 30 hours of helper per week.

We look forward to receiving your message!
