****Dates available - 25th January Onwards*

We are the 'O'Shea' family. We are a family of 4, myself, my daughter Riley (9yrs), my son Wolfe (6yrs)and my partner 'Flash'. Flashes 2 daughters visit during the school holidays Maddy (16rs) and Courtney (19yrs). I have hosted aupairs/HelpX for the last 5 years and had great fun exchanging and sharing cultures and food. Both children are at school. We like to share our home with travellers in exchange for some help around our lifestyle block. We have horses, dogs, cats, chickens, sheep, cows and a duck called Scraggle! We love the outdoors.
We would like someone to help with a mixture of activities - gardening, house work, child care, animal care, land maintenance depending on the need and time of year! We also have some projects we would like to start for those more experienced like, creating some vegetable beds, house painting, chopping and stacking firewood for next season etc.
We are centrally located if you would like a base... more inside

Kia ora, we are Katy, River, Karen and Barry.

We have a 3 acre plot with chickens, food gardens and a home yoga studio. We host on air B&B and run yoga classes and retreats for locals and travelers.

We are looking for help with a variety of tasks for a one or two week period. Firstly, you must love kids, as my 4 year old will take a big interest in you and will probably want to hang out with you a lot. There's painting work, weeding, gardening, cleaning and possibly some cooking. Maybe some other random tasks, best to be open to anything.

If you have social media marketing, website development or any other creative skills, such as the ability to make posters or paint signs, you would definitely be valued, but those skills are not necessary.

The work is about 5 hours a day, it would be very variable and flexible as a lot of it is weather dependent.

Your accommodation is a semi-self contained house bus with a queen size bed. We can host a single person or a couple (th... more inside

The HelpX guest is welcomed into a quiet, pastoral smallfarm, with a small flock of pet sheep, four Golden Retrievers, a cat, and me. The fresh, clean air is filled with birdsong all year, and frogs and butterflies abound in season. No animals are killed on this farmlet
I am as organic as I can, no sprays, etc., on food, but I deal with my Callie thistles and gorse as required.Views are breathtaking.

Vegans and vegetarians are also welcome.

The Helper would be required for about one week (flexible). You will have your own room, with tiny TV, and limited internet access. Own transport preferred, but I can pick you up from Palmerston North if required. Good food is a priority. Non-smoker, no drugs.
You will be helping me with gardening, orchard maintenance, animal chores, chopping firewood, and housework, etc.
Four hours' work daily is required, and help with the dishes is appreciated. Area attractions are: bird sanctuaries, butterfly park, walking tracks, PN 15 km.

Hi,
We have a beautiful home stay on 5acres, set within a 350 acre farm in the Wairarapa, Carterton district, Gladstone area. Close to the Rumahunga River, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, 15min from Masterton, 1.5 hrs drive to Wellington airport.
Great recreational activities to be had including, wine tasting, fishing and jet boating. We live in a great community and have a fun, busy family of 3 kids. My wife and I do split work.
We are looking for one person for October/November. Currently work is required in the garden, painting, firewood and also possibly beekeeping with an experienced beekeeper. It's amazing and interesting working in the field!
Please call or email if you would like more details.
Happy travelling!

Sam and Sarah

We live on a sheep and beef farm 20 minutes east of Masterton in the Gladstone area. We have 3 children who are 3, 6 and 7 years old. We are looking preferably for 2 people to help us around the house both inside and out. We have pets (dogs, a pony, and chocks) which need feeding, exercising etc. We prefer to not host vegetarians or vegan diets (sorry). As our home is a historic shearers quarters there is plenty of room for you. You will have your own (large) bedroom in which we can have 2 double beds and/ or 1 single bed. There is also the option of another bedroom but it does not have internal access. We can have a double or single bed in this room. You will also have your own lounge with a fire and wifi. The guest bathroom is by external entrance. The hills, native trees, native birds and the odd peacock roaming at our backdoor all make for a good kiwi stay!

We have recently moved to a new house at the beach. We need some help with planting and landscaping. Preferably, we would like somebody who has experience in landscaping and/or carpentry work. However, if the person is fit and willing to have a go, we are happy to talk about it. We also need housework done at times, especially window cleaning.
We offer beach views with a short walk to reach the beachfront. We are a middle aged couple who love to cook and eat and have interesting company from all over the world.

We have recently been away, but are now back home where jobs still need doing!

We live on the southern reaches of Mt Bruce, which is a bird sanctuary where kiwi, kaka and kokako are living freely, we are visited regularly by kaka and lots of other native birds. (but not kiwi and kokako).
We have a large 4 bedroom house, where helpers can have their own room or shared. Helpers would have their own shared bathroom (and own lounge, should they wish) although we would hope that they would join us in our large family/kitchen area. We have a pool table, piano and spa pool.

We are 20 mins from Masterton by car and can easily pick up helpers from train or bus. Would prefer helpers to stay minimum of 2 full days.

We are a semi-retired couple, who still work our farm where we have sheep, cattle and calves. We have 1 dog, who does not come inside the house. We both play music and are members of our local brass band, we both are involved in amateur theatre and have been on stage ... more inside

One person to help around a house in central Wellington and possibly Help setting up a new business in the sustainable well-being area. Sense of fun and adventure essential and a systematic approach necessary.

This is a change from the farm business where we grow peony flowers producing approximately 23,000 flower stems each season. We also have an Olive grove and orchard. I am interested in expanding my view to encompass not only good food and nutrition but also physical, spiritual and commercial sustainability and well-being into the mix.

To those purely interested In flowers, Peony flower season commences in late October and runs through to the end of November. This farm uses low-impact and sustainable farming practices. Harvest time is always filled with fun and laughter. always working as a team to bring in the flowers and celebrate our successes.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Elizabeth :)

We are hill country sheep and beef farmers in the Wairarapa running 2500+ sheep and around 150 cattle. We are looking for people who like animals and children (we have 3 young children). Your own transport would be handy as we live 40 minutes from town. A room and 3 meals per day in exchange for 5 hours of help per person. Accommodation is a sleepout, toilet and shower in the main house. We are meat eaters here!
