I am a Medical Scientist who has retired after many years working in public hospitals and a private practice in Melbourne. I have two married grown-up children and two grand children who live in Melbourne. The property is set in the beautiful King Valley I have a herd of sheep and goats I Like to grow vegetables organically and do not use toxic sprays. I make my own cheese and have taught cheese-making as a community contribution and have brewed beer, cider and made wine and wine vinegar. Have been a pro bono consultant to a vineyard to treat powdery mildew organically. I am looking for helpers to do general work around the farm. I was a woofer host for many years with young people from around the world who had a great time here. I love to cook for people with international meals. My mobile phone does not always work as the reception here has many black spots but there is good internet access and there are no problems with the land line. We are a small family run organic farm, located in one of the most beautiful locations in Australia, The Otways, along the Great Ocean Road. Our Farm is situated about 20 mins drive from Apollo Bay, and not too far from Lavers Hill, Hordern Vale, Glenaire and Cape Otway. You can get to us by train, (from Melbourne to Colac), and we can pick you up in Colac, or you can get the bus past Lorne, and we will pick you up from Apollo Bay. Or if you have a car, you can drive to us very easily.

We are right on the edge of the Great Otways National Park, so we see Koalas, Kangaroos and Wallabies, Echidnas, Possums and many unique birds every day. We are 10 minutes from beautiful beaches, waterfalls, world class hiking trails on the Great Ocean Walk, and we are surrounded by ancient, undisturbed forests. 5 minutes walk from our farm, though the forest is a natural swimming-hole, and a mossy, fern gully creek and waterfall. After a hard days work, you can swim there, or we often drive our he... more inside

Hi! My farm is about 30 minutes to Melbourne & easily accessed by public transport. We are an animal loving home with cats, dogs, horses and lots of chickens.

I need a motivated, animal loving, organized, neat person/s to help primarily with getting the property cleaned up plus help with the chickens and with the daily chores of animal care, housework, weeding, spraying, cooking and anything else that crops up.

No exp needed, just a smile and good work ethic.

Your accommodation will be your own bedroom and a queen bed. (Actually, your first job can be putting the bed together! The mattress is currently on the floor).

If I don't answer, please leave me a TEXT not voicemail.

There is just myself and sometimes my 15yo son, so nice and quiet.

Sensible social drinking is fine and smoking is outside. No other drugs are acceptable.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to text me!
Text is absolutely the best way to contact me.

Enjoy Aus... more inside

Hello Hello

Hi there. I am looking for someone to come and stay at my home in Preston, Melbourne for 1 month (to begin with -possibly longer). I am hoping to find someone who can move in asap. I am also happy to start with a 1 week trial to see how everyone sits with the arrangement. Main duties will be picking up my daughter from childcare on Thursdays at around 4.30pm and bringing her home for dinner/wash/bed. I work on this evening and my partner works in NSW and so is away from Monday-Friday. On the other days work will include some cleaning, cooking and sometimes more childminding. The time when you work on the other days will be flexible and I'm happy to give you weekends off if you do a little extra in the week. You will have your own room and the house is in a great Melbourne location very close to the train and trams as well as being near Preston Market. Please email me with some info about yourself if you are interested. Cheers, Phoebe

We are an active retired couple 600 metres up overlooking Lake Hume, the Murray River and the Victorian snowfields. We are on the border of New South Wales and Victoria. Our major town is Albury Wodonga where we could pick up if necessary.
We have cork oaks, olives and fruit trees. The neighbours run sheep on the place from time to time.
We would need help with general maintenance, gardening, a little fencing, wood chopping, painting etc.
You would live with us in our house and meals would be provided. Work would generally be in the mornings with the afternoons free.
We speak French.

COUPLES WELCOME

We are a friendly family of four: two adults (Mum, Dad) and two children (Ethan, nine years old and Rafaela, three years old). My husband is an academic, and I am a housewife and gardener teacher. We live in West Footscray, about a five minute walk from Tottenham train station on the Watergardens line. This train stop is about a twenty minute ride from the CBD.

We have a large Permaculture organic garden and a dog. We have hosted many people in the past, and enjoy meeting new people. Help in exchange for (mainly vegetarian but also meat based) meals and board in our comfortable, renovated bungalow. Tasks include: housework, food preparation, gardening, home maintenance and DIY tasks.

Breakfast and lunch are self-service, with a shared evening meal. Helpers have their own bungalow, plus the all important wifi!

We try to run an eco-conscious home, so helpers who are interested in this kind of lifestyle tend to be a good fit. We cook and eat primarily organ... more inside

I am looking for someone to stay and assist with some house cleaning as I have just moved into a place and it could use some wall cleaning and some other odd jobs like assisting me to organise the house.

I am a friendly and sensitive person and it would be nice to have a friendly person to assist with this.

I live in a suburb on a beautiful beach side and I am a few hundred metres from Monash University peninsula campus.

Easy to travel to Melbourne city from my place or to the lovely Mornington Peninsula

It is about 7 - 10 days of work for just one person so it is not really ideal or suitable for two people

and my place has large windows that receive more sunlight through then any place around : - )

Looking for a helper anytime now

This listing is for two separate properties, one in St Kilda West and one in Somers, The Mornington Peninsula.(70mins drive from Melbourne).

At the moment, I need help in Somers and not in St KIlda.

Both properties have a comfortablye, good sized, QS bedroom for Helpxers. Both properties have internet and all mod cons.

1. Somers, The Mornington Peninsula. (photos below. Interiors to follow).

This is a 3 bedroom (2 bathroom) beach house, 5 minutes walk to a lovely safe, clean, sandy swimming beach, in the small coastal town of Somers on The Mornington Peninsula. This is a residential area, however The Mornington Peninsula is an all seasons destination for holiday makers in search of both Bay and wild, surf beaches great hiking, local food and award winning wine (mainly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay).

There is a train from Melbourne to Frankston, change for Bittern or Hastings and there is also a bus from Frankston to Somers. I am happy to pick people up from station... more inside

Come and stay with us in our lovely little farm cottage and horse property, with quiet horses, menage and riding trails by the picturesque Kings Billabong National Park. The property is located very close to the Mighty Murray River and only 12 km from Mildura. The weather is beautiful all year round. We need a person or couple who is great with children and horses to help us with caring for my two daughters, driving them to and from school and dance classes. Feeding, exercising & grooming horses, chickens, general farm work, gardening, fencing and general house work. We have two queen size rooms and a granny flat, meals included. We prefer people committed to staying more than Three weeks to enable us to work on bigger projects. Local fruit picking work is also possible. Some Helpers choose to find seasonal work locally. In this event full board will be required. Mildura has over 350 festivals per year www.visitmildura.com.au The town is a magnificent holiday destination combin... more inside
