***The project is now delayed until September 2019

Hi! I'm preparing to set up a boutique Vintage Themed dog daycare in a huge building that used to be a scout hall. The business will not be open when you are volunteering with us, but some of the tasks will be preparing the building for the future. *The Dog daycare will not be operating during the volunteering period*. However the business downstairs has a most beautiful cavalier king charles spaniel to play with! We'll start working on it in *** September***, and will be doing setup till October. We’re currently getting permits and electricity connected.

I'm looking ideally for mature-minded volunteers who are happy to do jobs at their own pace and direct themselves. Hopefully you’re hands on with a can-do attitude. Extra points if you’re confident using a ladder. I'm more than happy to teach you anything that interests you (if I know how to:-)), and perhaps you can teach me too! Ideally two friends or a couple. I will not ... more inside

Hi, we are Meegan and Brett Woodstone . We share a passion for the simple things in life: growing healthy and nourishing food; learning and sharing hands on skills; ethical and sustainable farming practices.

We live in on our family’s 8 acre property with our 2 dogs, 20+ chickens and 2 year old son Huon.

We would love the help from an energetic, reliable and tidy person or couple around the farm, in exchange for accommodation and meals.

The property is a working Tree Farm, it grows and sell advanced trees; we also have around 1 acre under food production and this is where we need the most help from our HelpX guests.

We have lots of courses, workshops and a Nature School Running from the farm so there are always lots of
People coming and going from out space.

Dependent on when you are available to stay, we will also need help with a variety of tasks.

This could include painting, wheelbarrowing and digging soil, spreading mulch and compost, seeding, seedlings, pla... more inside

Hi!

Immediate help needed!

We need 1 Helper to help with nannying a 4 year old, and a little bit of tidying, cleaning, and minor preparation of food.

So, the exchange deal is - an average of 20-24 hours a week in exchange for 3 small meals a day, and board 7 days a week.

We will need your help for 1-2 hours in the morning, and 2-4 hours in the afternoons, (before and after school care). This leaves time for yourself during the day, evenings and weekends to do what you wish.

We are a very friendly, welcoming little family (mum and 4 year old) with a spare room and a double bed available for you to use in our home. There is a reasonable sized garden, patio and a few large common spaces inside. I always buy fresh, mostly organic fruit and veg and I love to cook all sorts of varieties of food much of the time, so you would always be well nourished.

You are welcome to join us on our family outings to the markets, shops, hike trails, and beach on weekends sometimes!
