Fancy some country living, close to Coromandel? We would like a part-time, live in (or nearby) home help to do some housework and gardening. If you've got experience with young children, some help with our young son would be great too.

We live on a lovely lifestyle block with cows, goats, chickens, ducks, a cat and a dog. The house is an old villa on 2 acres, about 20 mins from Thames on the Coromandel. You will either need a car or be comfortable hitchiking as we are rural.

We provide you with your own room (incl linen), a shared bathroom and internet. You are welcome to join us for family meals. We would expect 15 plus hours help per week. You would be free to pick up other work locally, so long as your core hours were fulfilled. We would like someone to start soon and to stay at least 1 month.

This is a small Connemara Pony Stud and we have other horses grazing here. We also have various pets, dogs x3, cats x1, and hens. Plus we run a few cattle to control the grass. Areas of the farm is planted in maize.
We need help with general farm work, for example mucking out yards/stables, controlling weeds, pruning/gardening, care of the livestock and handling/working with the ponies. Painting fences and general maintenance.
The work does depends on the weather, the time of the year, so the jobs are varied. Maybe an opportunity to housesit if I do need to go away for a few days.
Also enjoy meals cooked by our guests :-)

The property is located near Lake Karapiro, a place for Rowing and other water sports. Cambridge is in the heart of the Waikato and the Thoroughbred Horse Industry.
Cambridge is about an hour from both coasts, and Rotorua. Thus a handy spot to see many wonderful places in NZ.

My home consists of a large house and 3 cute Cabins and currently im in the process of building a tree house made of scavenged materials. Im located in one of NZ's scenic hideaways close to walking and cycling pathways. The beautiful Karangahake gorge tramping tracks swimming in the river and surfing/swimming at Waihi beach are fantastic activities near my home. Would love help establishing a garden and composting system. Building the tree house. Also if you are creative it would be neat if you leave behind a painted/sculptural work that will be enjoyed by the many visitors that come. Accommodation is in one of the cabins with easy access to a funky outdoor shower toilet and small kitchen. All food provided but you will be free to cook for yourself if preferred. Up to you how long you stay if you feel at home and we get on and we can accompilsh some jobs. I like low maintenance people who are at ease in my company and can think for themselves and can make interesting conversation wh... more inside

A small holding in the North Island between Pukekohe and Hamilton, just a hour and half from Auckland Airport in a peaceful, remote area that is surrounded by 1500 acres of beautiful forestry. Some of the best horse, cattle, sheep, dairy and deer farmland in the Waikato. We have lots of dogs, a cat and a small veggie garden. We would love some assistance with general garden and property maintenance and care of the dogs. English required, no vegetarians as we feed RAW meat (to the dogs). A bit of cooking and housework would be appreciated at times.

Come and help for a few days at my farm stay. A small 70 ha farm high on a hill with stunning panoramic views to the west. Only 10 km to Cambridge but very quiet rural setting. I graze dairy heifers and have a few beef cattle and chooks as well as a very friendly out-door farm dog. She's a heading dog and doesn't bark. Situated in the middle of a Halo bush area where pest control ensures native birds breed successfully.

Mature bush with walking/biking tracks are protected in perpetuity with QE11 covenants.

A central stay for Cambridge, Waitomo, Hobbiton, Karapiro, Maungatautari (Sanctuary Mountain), Raglan, Te Miro mountain biking and more.

I am looking for 1 to 2 non-smoking people (singles or a couple) to help with odd jobs - indoor or outdoor depending on the weather and to suit your skills if possible. You get your own room or rooms in the house and bathroom, WiFi, self help breakfast and lunch but other meals cooked. You like eating meat, dairy and vegetables. Linen p... more inside
