We are a vibrant family living and working on a sheep (6000 ewes), cattle (500 head) and deer (300 hinds) station 10km from the town of Masterton in The Wairarapa. This town is 1.5 hours drive north east of Wellington - 2 trains per day to and from Wellington as well as bus services from all other parts of NZ. We are a family of 5 (our daughters are 11, 12 & 14 years old). WE have two shepherds working and living with their families here on our farm so there is a warm and friendly atmosphere about the place! Our location is great - Masterton, only 10km away, is a town of 18,000 residents and we are only 40 mins drive from a fantastic coastline. We have a helpx project over the month of September which we want to complete, This would be best suited for 2 people so a couple travelling together may well enjoy this stay best. If you are happy to work 5 hours per day in return for full board, lodging and free wifi. The accommodation is great - it is separate from our main farm hou... more inside

I'm in a great Art Deco house which is currently getting a well deserved renovation. The property is also being re-developed.

I'm offering accommodation in return for a few odd jobs, including gardening, renovation and general work around the place, thee to four hours a day. Most food is provided including gluten free if required and shared meals when I'm home. It's an easy-going place.

The house is very handy to getting around the Wairarapa (vineyards, coast, fishing, bush walking, cycling) and into Wellington, with excellent public transport options. I'm happy to show you around, it's not a part of New Zealand many travellers get to see.

Kia ora!

My partner James and I are looking for someone to help us with our home renovations starting mid-July 2017. We also share our home with our puppy Kenai (key-nigh). She is an energetic and playful schnoodle.

We'll be needing someone to help strip wallpaper and prep for painting, and to help with the garden. This will include weeding and maintenance.

In exchange for a bed, unlimited wifi, a shared kitchen, and all basic amenities, we require 2 hours of work daily.

Smokers are allowed, but must be far from the house when smoking.

The kitchen is available for your use, and you will be provided with pantry and fridge space for your own food.

The city centre is 40 minutes walk from our home, but there is a bus stop 200m away that takes you straight into town.

Our home is also open to AirBnB guests, so we expect everyone to be respectful of each other and each other's privacy.

We live up the beautiful Kawhatau Valley in Mangaweka, near Taihape and 2 hours south of Taupo and 3 hours North of Wellington.

We manage an asparagus farm, however it is currently not in season. The season runs from October - February. The farm has the Kawhatau River running through it. We look over the ranges which have snow on in the winter months and which have various different walks and tramping you can do.

My husband and I both in our early 30s have two young boys, 1 1/2 and 4 months old.

We are looking to have up to 3 people stay with us for 2-3 nights. The house has a seperate end with two bedrooms with bathroom and small kitchenette available. (1 King Bed, 1 Queen Bed and 1 single) We could have a couple and friend or just a couple or up to 3 friends stay with us.

We would like anyone who is interested in helping with general jobs such as gardening, getting ready for the season jobs around the sheds. We have 100 cows on the farm, chickens and also Alpacas. Th... more inside

My husband and I run a small diary farm and have two small children, girl age 2 and boy 6months. We milk 200 cows and rear calves during spring. Located just off State highway 3, 6mins drive from friendly Feilding and 5mins from Sansan.

Feilding offers great cafes and restaurants, parks, a movie theatre, 3 supermarkets and of course the biggest sale yards in the southern hemisphere. On Fridays there is a great farmers market in the square.

A short drive down the hill to friendly Feilding, or 15min drive to Palmerston North CBD.

You will sleep in our newly restored caravan which is insulated and fully powered. Its trendy, light and sunny with a great view of the rural setting. The bed is a comfortable full queen mattress and base and all linen (including towels) is provided. While you have your own space for sleeping, bathroom facilities are shared inside our newly located and updated house. A small fridge, toaster, kettle, cutlery and crockery are all supplied inside the c... more inside
