Hello, we have a beautiful home in Lenah Valley on 13 acres of bush and garden, 10 minutes from Hobart CBD and at the bottom of Mount Wellington. We are surrounded by nature and are a very short walk to bushwalking and mountain bike tracks. There is public transport within walking distance but having your own car is preferable.
Our family includes Nick, Leonie and our two children aged 12 and 9. We also have two dogs and a cat. We speak OK Japanese and a bit of French.
We are looking for help from capable people to help with our garden and some landscaping work. We like people who are independent and can work unsupervised.
Accommodation is in a separate apartment with a queen bed and it's own bathroom and lounge with good wifi internet. It would suit either a single person or a couple.
We have a busy life so are not always at home during the day but we always try and eat dinner together as a family. We all love food and cooking!

Spring is here so we are thinking about the fun of working in the garden! we will need help in the coming months.

We live in the bush in the city on a cute and very sunny spot on the Sandy Bay Rivulet. Our home is only 2 km from the centre of the city but hidden in a valley under the mountain. We are surrounded by walking tracks and close to lots of things to do.

We are keen to offer home stay to meet people travelling and to generally get some help with some domestic gardening, vegie and fruit trees and some fence work.

It would be a relaxed environment helping as a second pair of hands on these tasks. We have a couple of different bedroom options depending on the timing or a very funky retro caravan option.

We are a mum (social researcher), teenage boy (grade 11) and we often have an international student at the moment from Brazil living with us too. We are a home that loves food and conversation.

Let us know if this sounds like your idea of experiencing the rea... more inside

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR HELPERS TO HELP WITH LANDSCAPING/YARD WORK at the start of October!!!

Hello helpers! We are Rose, Luke, Billy and ChloŽ Jarman and we would love to welcome you to our place, Home on the Hill Tasmania :-)

I'm Rose, I'm 35, a transplanted Brit, a midwife and a mum to our happy little bubs William and ChloŽ, Larry (dog) and Lucy (cat). My husband Luke is from South Australia and a carpenter by trade. We have both travelled quite extensively and both Helpx'd and WWOOFed since 2004. I speak a little French and a few words of Spanish so while we welcome those of you who speak other languages (and we love to learn!), we are mostly English speaking.

We live about 20 minutes outside of Hobart in the tiny village of Collinsvale - no public transport is available so your own vehicle is strongly advised. We are on 10 acres of gardens and native bushland and currently chicks and chooks but thats it in the way of livestock!

Accommodation is self contai... more inside

Brad, myself (laura) and Malu our beautiful daughter have been living for three years on our bush block here in Tassie. We have built a shack and shed from recyled materials. We are now 100% off grid on solar power, providing our own veggies for 12 months and hope to get some fruit from the orchard this year. The land itself has a spring and an old quarry, a north facing aspect and beautiful surrounding views. The bush is 20 yo regrowth as the farm used to run cattle.

Our vision is an organic, sustainable farm/community to grow old on with our friends and family. We are into natural/alternative building and permaculture. One of our major aims is to reduce our waste!

This year's project is getting a market garden up and and running to sell chemical free produce locally.

We are looking for 1-2 people/couple to help with the market garden and learn about small scale food production and off grid living. Work days will be set each week with a total 20 hours per week for food and... more inside

Pen & Steve are both semi-retired and in early 60's.
We live on a 360 acre farm with 3 English springer spaniels, lots of cows and local wild life and birds.

You can help out in what your desires and strengths. Should you enjoy cooking then we are happy to oblige with eating. If sparkling clean windows satisfies any obsessive tendency then we can provide spaniel-smudged windows.
If you prefer to be outdoors then we would be grateful for help with firewood and gardening.

We have a lovely century old wooden farm house, with three spare bedrooms,in which you would share our living areas. There is a separate bathroom for Guests. Should you be allergic to dogs we can only advise that the air is thick with the hair of three spaniels.

We are about 75 minutes drive from Cradle Mountain.
Ulverstone and adjacent beaches are 20 minutes drive north and Leven Canyon is a similar distance south west.
Locally, within 5km, is Wings Wildlife Park, Gunns Plains Caves, Preston Falls and t... more inside
