Accommodation available for a kind person or couple with a calm and sympathetic nature, non-smoking driver with own transport essential.
Unfortunately my husband has passed away early this year, so I have my daughter and son in law living in a static caravan in the garden to help around the house when needed and to be on hand just in case I need help, it's a big place to be alone and I am not used to being on my own.
I am a reasonable healthy and fit 89!

They need some time away every now and then so the family want me to have someone on call and that could cook the odd meal for me and keep an eye on the house, garden and me!
Possibly take me shopping or to church.
Not much to do really, lots of time for yourself, good internet connection.
Accommodation in the caravan. Lengths of stay flexible and negotiable.
Well equipped, smart tv, radio. Two bedrooms, ensuite.

The High Nature Centre is a 'Healing Biotope' for ecological learning and regenerative culture. We are located between the villages of East Prawle and East Portlemouth on the South Devon Coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The ethical rural enterprise was founded in 2012 by Permaculture Designer & Creative Director Catherine Middleditch. The Centre welcomes around 300 people each year including families, couples, solo travellers and international volunteers. The Centre continues to be an ever evolving ecological and social experiment focusing on re-wilding, nature connection / healing, social outreach, and permaculture practice.

Temporary seasonal accommodation is available to visiting tourists in the form of yurts. The yurt camping field consists of a spacious field divided into 4 main circular spaces so that visitors can feel enclosed within their own private glade. Wildflowers provide valuable wildlife habitat, fabulous for observing bees and butterflies.

Handyperson/carpenter/builder/gardener/dog-walker needed.
We would welcome someone to assist with looking after our family of four dogs (2 older dogs and 2 puppies) and helping with various building, maintenance and repair projects around our house, outbuildings and garden.
There are 4 of us (Noel a librarian, Louise a teacher, Jan (22) and Flavia (19) but not all of us are home all the time) + dogs and some chickens and ducks and snakes. We all live in a scenic, very rural area of Surrey next to several farms and stables. London is 80 kms away.
Our house is a cottage with a large garden. The nearest village is about 2km away. Work is needed for about six hours daily, five days a week. Paid overtime is possible. As we all work/study full-time, the person should be comfortable with being here on their own. This is a main reason for us looking for a helpxer, as our dogs enjoy the company and walks. The ideal person should be relaxed, friendly and outgoing. Apart from d... more inside

*** PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME TO READ THIS PROFILE ***

***** I have looked at a lot of helpx profiles and I know that we are offering helpx so much more than many other hosts, so it is really important that you are NOT lazy, child abuser, or racist. My family is not perfect, but we try really hard to make our helpx feel comfortable. ****

We are looking for a female aupair to take care of our kids (son is 13 years and daughter is 9 years).

You must be:

- willing to clean the house, time conscious and understanding - someone that will fit into our home setting.
- flexible and is willing to help out.
- willing to treat our home and family like yours.

You must not be a smoker and we will prefer someone who is not vegetarian or fussy with food because in the past it has been difficult cooking food for people with multiple dietary requirements.

Ideally our home is for someone that:

- truly enjoys spending time with children
- enjoys spending time at parks

**please contact us now for helping in March 2020 and beyond **

Come and stay with me, my husband and our daughters (3years and 28 - with special needs) on our small holding. I am starting a very small pony riding / grooming business for children and adults with special needs.

We have 4 horses, 2 dogs and 2 cats and live on 5 acres of land about 6 miles from the City of Bristol. There are buses available if you are coming from Bristol city centre, and coaches and trains linking us with most other large cites and towns in the south of England. We are very near Bristol airport and the village of ChewMagna (google it). We're also about 20 mins from Bath and 45 mins from the famous Glastonbury and Wells.

We need help some with the following:

*DIY jobs (painting and restoration etc) help with renovating our house.
*Helping with the horses (mucking out, poo picking the fields, and looking after them). If you have experience with horses this is ideal. ... more inside

We have a delightful bungalow in the beautiful Devon countryside with a large garden and peaceful location.
We are vegetarian, many of the meals are vegan but not always. Non smokers please.

Were looking for someone to help with our garden to tidy up and pull out the weeds...it will require strength and a good pair of wellington boots.
There’s fencing to paint (with water based paint).
If the weathers bad you can help with a few organising jobs indoors, but it’s mostly outdoors which needs attention.

We can offer you the cosy caravan with electric blanket, kitchen, fridge and cooker. The WiFi is very fast and you can download unlimited films. Outside there’s your own pretty sitting area.

We’d like 4 hours help a day with your weekends free. In exchange we’ll give you £20 towards your breakfast and lunch food to prepare in your caravan. We provide the basics like rice pasta and lentils herbs tea and coffee.
Monday to Friday evening meals, we all eat a home cooke... more inside

Hi, looking for someone to help me upgrade my narrowboat (painting, woodwork). The food is vegetarian but fish is allowed!
Accommodation is basic, in wooden cabin and I live off-grid so water and electricity are very precious. I have access to Wifi via a mobile. In 2020 I want to finish building a second cabin with kitchen and bathroom and also need help with starting a vegetable garden.
You must like dogs as they live aboard with me.
I speak Spanish and French too.
Looking for someone to help on a canalside eco-build over summer..must like dogs as I have two.
Urgently looking for someone now to help as I have cracked some ribs. Looking for anyone who wants to learn about eco-construction with straw bales and woodwork. Must like music!!

06-Feb-20 update: I live on a hilly smallholding and my property has an area of meadow and light woodland.

I need some seasonal help with gardening and landscaping (any design ideas would be welcomed), as well as painting the house exterior and the internal doors, and with general housekeeping.

My first Helpx helper was amazing and I have more work that needs to be done. I am looking for stays of between 3 and 7 days, which could be extended. I ask for the equivalent of 5 hours a day over a 5-day week but I am flexible about when the hours can be.

The house is in a rural setting, 5 miles from Tunbridge Wells, 50 miles from London, and 25 miles from Hastings, Eastbourne and Brighton south coast towns. Buses stop on my street; there is a station 12 mins walk away, with trains to Hastings (50 mins) or London (60 mins).

I can also help you with your English language learning and would be delighted to practice my school French and German.

You (he/she) would have your own ... more inside
