We are a busy family of 5, living the perfect life in Somerset close to Glastonbury (perfect except that we have too much to do). We have a large garden in need of lots of work. We are needing at least two people to help tidy and prepare the garden for spring, to help manage a woodland where all of the undergrowth needs clearing and do various other outdoor activities such as build a new shed. Meals will be provided and accommodation is in a room attached to our house but with a separate outside entrance.

We live in a cottage with an extensive garden (extensive to us!) of 2.5 acres. There is a stream, a pond, woodland, allotment and lawn space - several gardens in one! We need help clearing, maintaining and landscaping the different areas of the garden. This might be clearing brambles and nettles or clearing mud and undergrowth from the pond or other tasks like this, depending on what we are working on at any time. Some of the photos show the areas of garden we are working on - still in a mess! We will only want help at certain times of the year depending on our projects and other business - always worth checking.
We have a beautiful, hand-built shepherd's hut that sleeps 1-2 and a stunning Mongolian yurt that sleeps 1-4 so depending on anyone else staying, you can choose accommodation. Either way, it's an outdoors experience with a bit of comfort thrown in - but camp life (including camp fires) is what you'll be getting stuck in to. We live in a very rural area so peace and ... more inside

We would love to have you stay with us for a week or two in this little piece of Cornish heaven. Our 5 acre small holding is in need of initial clearance of buildings, sheds, trees and weeds. Once the site has been cleared the operation will involve erection of stone and wooden buildings, animal pens and associated fencing.

There may be repairs to stone barns, clearing out our river and maintaining the orchards.

If you would like to learn English better,
the local community has many fun activities where you can meet people and learn some traditional Cornish farming skills.

Perhaps you have some experience to bring to the table?

We are happy to house you and feed you well in our brand new guest annex complete with rainfall shower room over looking the quarry cliff face. Try fishing on the river. Feel free to borrow a bicycle and take a trip down the country lanes. We ask for 25 hours per week in exchange for food and board.

In addition to helping on the land there i... more inside

We have a vision of our home being an ethical cultural centre, with poly tunnels and bees, a forest garden, composting toilets and interesting workshops that share knowledge and improve wellbeing, a place that promotes and sets an example of self sufficiency and community partnership.

3 years ago we were living in a caravan among a lot of mud and 15 year old trees next to a house that had no roof or windows! Now after a lot of hard work, we are living in a partly developed house, with wood and solar powered heating, a composting toilet, lime plastered walls, chickens in the wood, veg beds and a poly tunnel on the way up. We welcome volunteers with the vision and enthusiasm we have to be part of our continuing journey.

Next steps . . . Bees, more lime plastering, developing the woodland as agroforestry, beginning organic conversion. looking at how to create a community here.

We are Amy (42), Mike (45), Ada (12) and Eartha (5)

We are hoping to find male or female volunteer... more inside

We are Jill and Phil, we have a large property of converted and semi converted barns, we are gradually upgrading the property to provide tourist accommodation. Currently we have two B&B rooms and 2 holiday cottages. We also have a large garden-flowers and vegetables, a fair sized pond and woodland. We have a few chickens who roam freely around the garden and two adorable guinea pigs.

We need help from October 2019 with all aspects of the above, priorities determined by current projects and the time of the year. We will also try to make good use of any specific skills offered as well as teaching new ones. We ask 5 hours work a day, five days a week - or the equivalent worked flexibly (4 week minimum stay). In return we offer good food and accommodation - private bedroom and shower room, all other areas are shared with us. We can also provide a bike for local investigation and lifts to nearby Acle for a bus or train to Norwich for example. Our helpers will often take a day or two t... more inside

We are looking for one or two helpers as soon as possible. We have a large garden - our own vegetables and orchard - that needs a lot of attention and a few painting jobs. There are lots of little children around too so it would be nice to play with them as well. They love new people!
We have 6 grown up children who are in and out, so help around the house may be useful as well.
We have 10 acres, a horse, 6 goats, chickens, and two dogs. We like to think that we are very relaxed, but there is too much to do!!! It would be brilliant if you knew how to do woodwork, but not essential.
You would be given a room to yourselves, the house has 7 bedrooms, there is a lot of space.
We live in the countryside 1.5 miles from the local town. 45 minutes from Salisbury and Bath.
You would work 4-5 hours per day for 6 days a week. (about). We welcome anyone for 1-3 weeks.
We look forward to your arrival.

SPACE FOR A STAY FOR AN ENGLISH SPEAKING PERSON FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD ASAP PLEASE! to help with some outdoor painting and feeding wonderful friendly adorable wild boar pet pigs and two gorgeous dogs, o and a racehorse! nearly forgot!.
Previous helpers have stayed longer than planned and I keep in contact with most.
Very fond of Spanish helpers.. so if that is you and this seems good, great!

I run a small bed and breakfast here on the North Norfolk coastline, being located just half a mile from a sandy beach that you can walk to easily. I have a bike you can use but of course your own car would be a bonus to you.
I don't have children to contend with so am not looking for a built in baby sitter!
Very quiet and laid back here with lots of wildlife and natural stuff... no night clubs so you must be happy to accept that fact although there are two local pubs within walking distance and I have a tendency to enjoy a bottle of vodka on occasions or two.

TASKS ARE ONLY SUITAB... more inside

A bustling place with lots going on! Two to four of us live here, and there are volunteers who live locally. We run a residential centre for courses and learning holidays, there`s a weekly community cafe, and a Yoga studio. We have 3 acres of garden, outbuildings and paddocks. Hens, ducks, Kune kune pigs, and a few sheep. Vegetables grown on raised beds and in a polytunnel. Would appreciate volunteers to help in garden and kitchen. Help is also with general catering, cleaning, and other domestic duties. Always lots of washing up.

We can take helpers for short or long visits (if they are the right person/people!) We also have working weekends about once a month. We invite potential volunteers to look at our website before applying, and tell us why they have chosen us in particular.

As of 2019 I now live in nineteenth century Victorian villa in a small English seaside town, 5 minutes walk from the beach and with lots of walks in the beautiful Devonshire countryside.

During the process of renovating this 5 bedroomed house I require help with all aspects of garden work; if you also have some skills in carpentry or house renovations this would be useful.

The accommodation is comfortable and you would have your own room, with a double bed and shared bathroom. There is wifi of course so you can use a laptop or smartphone.

The feedback below is from when I lived in Spain until 2018 but my permanent home is now the UK.

I only reply to people if they have a pic, as I live solo and like to see the person I am inviting to my house. Thanks, Darryl
