We only recently joined HelpX after having a break from being WWOOF hosts for 12 years.
We breed and at present have 26 alpacas, 2 horses, 2 dogs and poultry. Work on our farm involves general garden and farm maintenance as well as animal husbandry in exchange for food and board. Shearing of the alpacas happens once a year usually late Oct early Nov. We grow organic vegetables and fruit for our own use. Accommodation will be in the main house.
The Summit is on the Granite Belt, 3 hours SouthWest of Brisbane and about 3 hours from the Gold Coast. As The Summit lies at 930 meters it is much cooler than Brisbane or the Gold Coast. The area is best known for large apple, grape and stone fruit orchards. We are close to Girraween National Park and are approximately 45 minutes from Tenterfield, NSW. A bus service with Crisp Coaches (based at Stanthorpe) is available daily from Roma Street Brisbane. Greyhound buses are an alternative.

We are a family owned cattle property located 140km north of Rockhampton and 190km south of Mackay (3.5 hours from Airlie Beach).

We have 2 little girls ages 5 & 3. We are looking to share a little bit of our world and lifestyle with you.

I am looking for someone to give me a hand in the house with cleaning and child minding.

We are also looking for someone who would enjoy working outside doing gardening, fencing, and odd handyman jobs.

In return we can offer you a unique experience of what life is like living on a cattle property. You will have your own little cottage to stay in separate to the main house and meals will be provided.

We have a large house on acreage with beautiful mountain views extending to the coast. Mark and I are currently landscaping, fencing and planting trees so would love some help in return for accommodation in our self contained granny flat. We're also looking for electricians to help update some of our lighting or someone who could help with tiling, painting or minor renovations. Mark is doing all if this himself at the moment so would love some help and company! If you have any skills in these areas please contact us. We'd like about 2 hours a day of your time in exchange for free accommodation and you can stay from 1 week to 4 weeks at a time. We can't provide food except to share a dinner now and then as our timetable is unpredictable but the granny flat has its own kitchen and we're near shops.
Mark speaks some French and I speak some German if that is of any help!
It's very peaceful here on top of our hill and we're close to the Maroochy river and just 7 minutes from the beach.... more inside

Hi, we are looking for 1-2 backpackers to help us on our cattle properties. We have several properties in southern and western Queensland where we run a large and diverse cattle and horse operation. It seems work is just getting a bit hectic these days and we would love some help! A drivers license is essential but otherwise all that is needed is a great work ethic and a willingness to learn! We would love to share a true bush experience with you.
Thanks
Nick

We are located on stunning Tamborine Mountain,30 minutes outside of the Gold Coast in the hinterland. Our small family of mum and dad and our 2 boys (7 and 9) are looking for a couple or travelling duo to help us paint our house and get our garden looking good. No child care necessary, limited cleaning duties.

Your accommodation would include a double bed in a self-contained studio under our house. It has its own bathroom with toilet and shower and own television, mini fridge and kettle and toaster.

We are a pretty laid back family and would happily show you around the local attractions.

Local activities include gorgeous bush walks, waterfalls, local vineyards, restaurants and galleries. Tamborine has a high number of tourists visit ever year due to the rainforests and wildlife.
