You will have your own cottage surrounded by nature with a swimming creek in the back yard. We require assistance with managing the organic vege garden and fruit trees, along with some household assistance. Due to recent cyclone damage, it would be great (although not necessary)to hear from people that have chainsaw and fencing experience.

Need a person to help get long overdue house and yard chores completed. Things like cleaning walls and ceilings. Gardening and general tidying up yard. Want someone who has lots of energy, age doesn't matter, and will do a good job. Prefer a female, you will share a bathroom with a teenager and have your own room. Approx 4/5 hrs work per day. I am negotiable on how long you stay, if you fit in and jobs are getting done I'm sure I can find more. ABSOLUTELY NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL. Can help with some transport. Share healthy meals with us, Mum and 2 teenagers. Maleny is a lovely small town on the Blackall Range which is behind the Sunshine Coast, so you have the coast and big shops 30 mins away. Nice place to spend some time and regroup if you are travelling up the east coast. Look forward to hearing from you.

We require you to work for 30hrs a week and additional paid hours are available. We expect you to work from 8am daily

I am presently looking for a single person or couple to look after my 4 dogs over the Christmas holiday period. You must really love dogs and want to spend time with them. My home is a heritage timber Queenslander that is fully air con with a modern kitchen and bathroom, about 2.5k from the Strand in Townsville. There is some gardening and house work but nothing too difficult, just what you would do in your own home: cutting up palm fronds, putting on the sprinklers, pulling weeds from the lawn, putting out the wheelie bins. I have someone who mows the lawn. I could make my cars available or my bicycle depending on how you like to move around. If you are looking for a peaceful couple of weeks in the Tropics with my very lovable dogs over Christmas and the new year, this is made for you. I look forward to hearing from you! Manya

I am semi retired and have a lovely property on the edge of cooktown with gardens and fruit trees. My home has beautiful views from a spacious verandah. Available accommodation is a double room, so a single person or couple only. Need to be over 18years old. I cannot help with visas. Good conversational english please as that is my only language, sorry. I am currently doing some renovations so current work is mainly helping me with cleaning interior walls and ceilings in preparation for painting, and general gardening and landscaping. So require someone fit and happy to get their hands dirty.
Cooktown area is a great place to experience remote australia, and features beaches, rivers, waterfalls and fishing and bushwalking. Town is friendly, has an interesting history and you can get a decent cup of coffee. Having transport is an advantage to see the out of town sights. There are daily flights and buses to cairns. I have a small dog, friendly.

HELPING A FAMILY WITH YOUNG KIDS ON A FARM We are a young, friendly family who live on a farming and beef cattle property in South west Queensland, near Goondiwindi. We have 2 very cute and energetic girls aged 4 and nearly 3 and we are having a third baby very soon, due in 2 weeks! We have a large property and grow wheat and barley crops and breed and fatten beef cattle. During Oct it will be our wheat and barley harvest, which is our busiest time on the farm. We are looking for someone enthusiastic, energetic, caring and patient - who would like to come here for about 2-3 mths, starting early Oct, to help us with a variety of tasks - from helping care for our kids, cooking all meals for harvest workers, gardening and odd jobs on the farm. Love of children, a love of animals, patience and independence are essential. Drivers licence and ability to drive a manual car is essential - as you will need to drive to town (56km away) on your own to run errands, do shopping in town ...

We have a beef cattle and cereal grains farm in Central Queensland. Approx 16 km form the small town of Theodore, and 250 km from Rockhampton. We are a family run operation, with our three adult sons working with us. Sometimes, we need a bit of help with basic day to day stuff- feeding animals, cleaning sheds and animal stalls, fence building and repair, gardening, mowing, and assorted maintenance tasks. There are also times when household help is required - cooking, cleaning, ironing etc. We have been involved with International Agricultural Exchange Assn, as well as having employed a number of backpackers through different agencies. HelpX appeals to us, as we generally don't need full time help, just a few hours a day for a few weeks - this programme seems perfect! At the moment, we have a very old slab timber shed that's needing some repair, so we'd be especially keen to host anyone with a bit of building skill. Hours of work would be approx 4 - 5 hours per day, 5 days per week....
