I am a mother with a 15 year old son who would be happy to host guests in return for general house and yard duties. I live in a lovely old timber home which is very comfortable but needs some work, particularly gardening. I am surrounded by sugar cane fields, with beautiful creeks, swimming holes and walking tracks close by. I can provide a double bed/and a single bed in your own room.

I do not need any helpers at the moment, thanks.

This is a largely self sufficient beachfront property surrounded by Daintree National Park accessible only by boat. Noncommercial small farm with a large variety of tropical fruit trees and a vegetable garden. We will provide meals and accommodation which is in a basic shed. Due to the isolated location, we suggest that workers that come here are interested in nature and solitude. We will pick up from the Bloomfield River near the town of Ayton which is connected to Cairns by a bus service three times a week.

My retreat, set in rural coastal Noosa Hinterland, operates as a Hostel and as a venue for groups. We bought the land with only weeds on it 35 years ago and planted it up, built dams, and buildings. My website shows many photos of the place and its history.
This farm was dreamed up as a community place for young people of all ages to meet, enjoy participating in the many and varied work projects and also in activies such as meditation, healing of ourselves and others and the earth, and keeping our dreams about a happier earth and inhabitants alive. I am also a family constellations practitioner and translate Bert Hellinger's books into english. So people who stayed longer have often felt they left with more optimism, with improved relationships of all kinds, and with optimism that they can do something that really fulfills them. People can come as a group, as individuals, as hostel guests, also for some quiet time, and as helper friends.
Presently I have many problems to address o... more inside

We grow coffee and need your help now the sun is out picking it!

The picking is easy but you will need to be happy to work outside and not afraid to get your hands dirty.

We are one hour north of Brisbane and just a 30 minute walk to the train station and shops.
I can do pick-up and drop off at Morayfield Train Station, There is a direct train to Morayfield Train Station every 30 minutes from Brisbane Central Station.

In exchange for half a day’s work each day or a full day every other, we offer food and accommodation.
Helpers normally work a day then have the next off leaving enough free time to do your own thing and explore.

This is a hobby farm as both Gordon and I work full time, you will need to be motivated and happy to work unsupervised.
A good understanding of English and an ability to communicate is important.

The house hold consists of grown children, 1 dog, 2 cats and 3 hens.

A willingness help out in other areas in wet weather is important.
