UPDATED MARCH 2017 We are putting feelers out for someone who is wanting to dig in over winter and help us with our horses. IDEALLY A TRAVELLER but not exclusive to. This would be live in as part of our family and helping to keep 3 hunters fit with an opportunity to hunt with the Rangitikei Hunt. Need to have top notch horsemanship skills and of course ability to ride extremely well. Please Note this is not an opportunity for someone who wants to learn to ride or someone who can ride "a bit" and wants to learn more. A GOOD KIWI EQUINE EXPERIENCE IF THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR.

45 minutes out of Palmerston North. We are a couple in our early thirties, we are animal lovers & have pet dogs, chickens, pigs, cattle and sheep. We have approx. 300 young producing walnut trees and an approx. 35 tree fruit orchard. We enjoy gardening & have a large vege garden. A large portion of our property is native NZ bush & we have our own stream. We live next to the river which is great for swimming & fishing. Help needed may be harvesting the walnuts (April-May)& fruit(Dec-Feb) feeding animals & taking care of their health needs, helping in the vege garden or glass house, composting, thistle grubbing, stacking firewood and any other jobs which may arise. In exchange we offer food and accommodation (in the main house) & would be happy to show you some of the local area. We would like someone friendly who likes animals, especially dogs. You don't have to have knowledge or experience but be willing to learn or give something a go.

We operate a 670ha sheep and beef property located on the Tora Coast in the south Wairarapa. We have three children, Hannah 6, George 4, and Riley 2. Mike is busy on the farm and is getting busier as we expand our business with another property, and I am away two days a week working as a nurse at the Masterton emergency department. We are looking for some help mostly for childcare while I am away and some odd jobs around the house cleaning and gardening. We live 45minutes drive from martinborough on a beautiful and rugged coastline. In addition to our three children we also have dogs, chickens, a pet goat, and a horse. We dine on a lot of farm meat and seafood so vegans/vegetarians probably not ideal.

Just moved in!! Need help with gardening and painting. Setting up chickens. House is spacious and you will have you're own room with queen bed. There is a dog here and sometimes children. We like to eat as healthy as possible.
The shops and trains are about a 15min walk away and there is a house bike and helmet you are also welcome to use. I would be most greatful for help in my big cottage garden, and to set up a vege garden. We also have a few rooms that need painting. I am happy to cook, and you are also most welcome to help yourself and use the kitchen, laundry etc. We have a fire place to keep you warm when it is cold, but summer is generally very warm. 2 toilets and a bathroom with bath, and a shower room with shower. I have previously hosted many airbnb guests with much success and fun when we lived in Wellington city, but this time I would love to meet people to help me work on my new house as I am a single mummy and there is a lot of work to get through. I look forward to... more inside

WE have a beautiful property, which we are slowly developing as a retreat/ teaching space. We grow all our own food. The work would be, helping with the garden and/or working on finishing the existing housing, and beginning to re-model the structure we hope to turn into a teaching/living space. We'd love to find someone with carpentry skills and remodeling vision!
I am a voice and singing teacher, and about to certify as a Zero Balancer, My husband is a full-time gardener. We grow just about everything that's possible to grow in this climate and a few things that are VERY DIFFICULT to grow in this climate, including macadamias, avocados and Miss Banana (though she lives inside!). WE are growing large areas of native trees and attracting lots of native birds including a couple of Kereru who seems to love staying here year round!

We breed and raise NZ Sport Horses but on a very small scale. We can get very busy in the Spring, Summer and Autumn periods and would be interested in hosting a confident and experienced horse handler/rider to help with stallions, mares and young-stock and riding. Our horses are well handled and generally quiet however we do have young, inexperienced horses under saddle so a good level of experience is necessary. The right person may have the opportunity to compete our horses.

We also have dogs, cats, sheep, cows, goats and chickens and a teenage daughter.

You will have your own room (simple but comfortable) in our cosy wee house. We are friendly and easy going people and you would have plenty of free time.

Wifi Wireless internet available.

We would LOVE someone ASAP as our hay has just been cut and will be baled in the next few days - It's a great work out! :)
