Hi, We are an easy-going English/Kiwi family living on the beautiful Kapiti coast in a large house a street away from the beach in Raumati South. Just down the road is a lovely café and shops as well as tennis courts and park etc. Our home is on public transport route to nearby Paraparaumu as well as 50 minutes by train to Wellington.
We offer a comfortable room and delicious food cooked by my husband who is a qualified chef.
In return we would appreciate a little help around the house and some help with looking after the children while I am away for work. The dates that would help us out are around the 10th September until the end of Sept in particular although we are flexible with these dates.
Our daughters are 3 and a half years old and 7 years old and generally we walk or bike with them to school or nursery as the school is very close to our home.
we love meeting people from different places and cultures and our girls are friendly and fun.

I'm a builder in my forties undergoing a renovation on my home I'm living in. I am offering a room in my 1.5 bedroom house, for either:

* a person willing to do some manual labour (mostly moving stuff around)

* a person to cook meals and clean the house/property

* someone with some building skills. I am well-equipped, so you will be using the best tools for the job.

I am asking 2.5 hours of your time for every night that you would like to stay. Flexible on hours/days depending on your contribution - so if you'd prefer to work 6 hours every 3 days, for example, that's fine with me.

Minimum 7 nights stay. Food not included, but shared meals are negotiable: I'm open to sharing food costs.

The house is small but sunny with good views, a private back garden, a kitchen (including a dishwasher), and a bathroom with a bath. :)

Local shops, including supermarkets, are close by (15 minute walk) - but you're also welcome to borrow my vehicle to get there. Great vie... more inside

We would love some help with cooking and cleaning and childcare to support us all in our work and family life. Otaihanga is a lovely peaceful area to live, with a beautiful river, beach and park very near to our home. It is about 50mins drive to Wellington City.We would love to provide food and board in exchange for help with our family :)

We are a family with 4 school age children living in one of Wellington's loveliest suburbs, Seatoun, very close to the beach. We have a very busy household and both parents will be working full time in May/ June (and possibly into July). We need someone to pick the kids up from school, look after them in the afternoons, cook dinner and keep the house tidy. They must be able to drive well. We would like our helper to have lots of energy and initiative and a good sense of humour.

---------- Room available from the 3rd to the 17th of January ----------

Hello, we have a free room available from the 3rd to the 17th of January 2014. We prefer one person who can be independant (we will be busy during the day but happy to share some time the evening and the weekend)

We are a relaxed and friendly Australian/French couple who like to meet people from everywhere. Joshua has lived in New Zealand for 9 years and Stephanie first came in New Zealand on a Working Holliday Visa for one year travelling, woofing etc. and decided to stay. We are both working as programmers.

We are moving house and need some help to get ready (cleaning, packing etc.). We ask 2 hours 30 per day for free accomodation including wireless internet (no food, but you are welcome to use our kitchen, and if you like we can even cook together vegetarian meals). We are quite flexible about the timing, you can probably work when you like.

We live in a beautiful flat a short walk (10min) from t... more inside

Hi - I will be busy and unable to host until March 2014, but happy travels to you during our summer!

It is always hard to keep a large garden organised ... and I work hard too! I've had a lovely time with help-xers so far, with short term and longer term visitors.

I have a three bedroom 1960's house on 1/4 acre in Wainuiomata. Out of town, public transport links (50-60 mins to CBD, or 25-30 mins if you are driving off peak), quiet, rural environment with one small dog, one cat and a large garden running down the hill. Two spare bedrooms, one double, one single with linen, furniture.

I mainly need help with gardening, I have a lot of weeding, landscaping, and gardening to do to make my land feel happy, and working during the week it is hard to manage to get it all done!
Preparing meals and doing the housekeeping is also appreciated - and with warmer weather, if you have the skills to prepare and paint the outside and/or inside of the house, that would be fantastic!
You c... more inside
