Lovely lifestyle block. Need help with land maintenance. Particularly riparian plantings along creek. We are in the process of restoring the creek beds and native bush back to it's natural state. Some help around the house as necessary.
We are a family of three. Have travelled extensively and enjoy meeting new people.

We are Tony and Briar, and we are dairy farming in the Far North. We have an almost 3 year old son, a 6 month old daughter and lots of cows, two dogs and two chooks... We are a happy little family and enjoy meeting new people.

We enjoy having little adventures such as bush walks, beach excursions and fishing when the time allows, although the dairy farm keeps us very busy! Our farm is located within 40 minutes of both West and East Coast beaches, a perfect base to explore our beautiful region from.

We would love some help with some basic tasks on the farm, in particular, fencing, around the house, with our young children, and with our garden.

You will have your own room in a sleepout.

We are looking forward to meeting some lovely new people and sharing a little of our farming lives and kiwi culture with you. In return, we would like you to show some initiative, be curious- ask us questions about our lives/farming/nz, be polite- please and thank-yous are really important... more inside

The magical wild and rambling Quince Cottage gardens are in need of some special tender loving care and maintenance! Needs include weeding, pruning and composting with some opportunity for creative pathway, trellis and outdoor living design. At present accommodation for willing workers is a separate and spacious self contained studio close to the house. Both accommodation and meals are offered in exchange. Meals are predominantly vegetarian from local, organic seasonal produce with fermented condiments included. I am 10 minutes from Keri keri township (could pickup from town), a few minutes walk to tidal landing ideal for kayaking and approx 5 minutes drive to a beaut sandy swimming beach.

Our property is in the southern bay of islands. We live simply and are off grid. Our power is generated from the sun and wind and our water from the rain and an underground spring. We farm calves, chickens and pigs. We are also developing food gardens and a CAP camping area.

Our property boarders the Bay of Islands Vintage Railway and the Pou Herenga Tai the Twin Coast Cycle Trail.

We have a working organic citrus orchard and lodge that is just 5km outside of Kerikeri. We are looking for people that can help with the farm, the lodge and the animals. Our pigs, sheep, chickens, dogs and the cat are very friendly and like peoples company.

If you like to live in a homely atmosphere and help us out, you are at the right place. We provide a clean and cozy room in the lodge, healthy food, free laundry and internet in exchange of about 4 hours of help a day. We are looking for honest and nice people who enjoy helping and the company of other people.

in 2015 we moved to beautiful Doubtless Bay in the Far North where we are transforming 2.5 acres of bare land (partly pasture, partly regenerated Manuka bush ) into Findhorn inspired gardens and orchards. We are on a hillside surrounded by pastures and forests and enjoy the great skies. Especially at night time the clear view of the Milky Way (hardly any light pollution here) is overwhelming. There is abundant bird life, and with our growing food production more birds find their way to our valley and garden. Jo (60) has been a gardener and food grower for many years. He has knowledge of plants, permaculture and sustainable living; he is very good at digging holes and creating fertile soil. Shelene (59) is a skilled knife-weeder, good at chopping out gorse bushes and in constant battle with a native Far North parasite weed (cassytha-paniculata/mawhai or Devil's twine). In the last 2 years we have established a mixed fruit orchard, vege gardens and a sub-tropical meander, in accord to... more inside

Food is very simple and healthy. I make all my own sourdough bread, kombucha and kefir(ferment... more inside
