We are a friendly family run riding school and trekking center, with a range of horses that we use for lessons, treks through forest, river and beaches, as well as competing and hunting, we also have 4 beautiful dogs and 2 wonderful cats and chickens.

We are located 20 minutes south of Oamaru and 1 hour north of Dunedin, centrally located to explore the North and Central Otago as well as South Canterbury regions, so your own transport will be necessary as there is no public transport.

We are looking for an extra hand with gardening / landscaping and small building projects over the summer (September - June). In return we can offer you your own self contained accommodation, food and opportunity to learn to ride or compete / hunt for competent riders. Or a base to explore this magical area of the world.

Both couples and individuals are more than welcome to come stay with us and experience rural New Zealand.

We are in a family home that we have recently built in a semi rural area. We have three children - two at home and an energetic dog. As the house is nearing completion we have plenty of odd jobs including landscaping and tidying up. Ideal for someone who is happy to do physical labour.
We are happy to have someone now. It is better if you have your own car but not essential. We are 3km from a bus but near walk and bike tracks.
We have a large room with several beds, couch and a tv so that you can spend evenings alone if you would rather. This is ideal for a couple. Queenstown is a beautiful area to explore, walk, bike, ski, depending on the season.

We live out on the Otago Peninsula but are only 20 minutes away by car or bus to Dunedin. We are a busy family of four, slightly chaotic but easy going, friendly and welcoming. My husband is a very busy man and so I'm looking for somebody to help me dig and plant up two borders, prune a macrocarpa hedge, some weeding and possibly some internal sanding and painting. I also run a BnB from our home so if you want to take a look at the web link above to see who and where we are please click on:

ARROWTOWN- 25 years + woman needed

We are a busy household of 4 in Arrowtown (our 2 oldest sons are at boarding school).

Both my husband, Simon, and I work, me part-time. Our two sons at home, Dom 13, and Gabe 8, are fun, energetic, social, reasonably well behaved, normal kiwi boys. I am looking for someone for the net month. It isn't everyday work, babysitting a few times a week and light housework. We are away a couple of weekends and we need someone for the whole weekend then., we pay extra for this. Lots of driving experience is essential as the traffic in Qtown can be terrible, and you must be comfortable driving up the mountain. The accommodation is a well heated, cosy caravan. Your own loo beside it but the main bathroom is inside. Arrowtown is a lovely place to live, great locals, bars, walks etc. We have always had live-in help and enjoy having people in the house.
Board and car included.

Cheers,
Marion

Hi there, We are looking for a couple to join our busy dynamic family. We live in a beautiful location with lots of space about 15 minutes out of WANAKA. We have 2 children aged 10 and 13 who are very independent but do need to be taxied around a lot for after school activities. General day to day tasks will include housework, cooking, gardening and caring for animals (2 dogs, a cat and 12 goats).
We are a very adventurous family who love the outdoors. We enjoy people who like connection and communicate well. Our daughter is desperate for a big sister so someone who loves kids and enjoys playing games, baking and doing arts and crafts would be an advantage. Our son loves mountain biking and snowboarding so there are heaps of opportunities for that in this amazing part of the world!.
Your own vehicle would be ideal and a sense of rural living would be an advantage too.
The accommodation is a large, warm, beautiful room with ensuite at the end of the house.
Please get in to... more inside

We are situated on the Otago Peninsula but close to Dunedin city centre - 7km to the Octagon. There is a bus stop but as the bus is fairly infrequent a car would be of advantage.
We would love to host a single person, or more ideally, a couple, to do general gardening work or small handyman jobs.
The accommodation is separate to the house and is normally run as a B&B so itís in great condition and comfortable.
As a family we have no dietary issues so we are best catered to people with similar dietary requirements.
