This project starts from the beginning of December. Please do not apply for dates before then.
Hi, Thank you to all the applicants who have applied but not got a placement with us. We appreciate your interest. We are an older couple living in a quiet suburb of Melbourne, very close to public transport and about 25 minutes from the City centre. At the moment we are looking for help for quite a different project and we feel that it would suit either an older couple, or a couple of friends. You would need to have your own transport and be keen on the beach, hiking, the natural environment etc.
This project is to help our daughter with work on her house in Venus Bay, a town near Wilson's Prom and Phillip Island. The work that we need help with at the moment is the replacement of a wall on the east side of her house. We managed to do the wall on the west side last year as a family but the east side will not be so easy so extra help will be great. It is difficult to set definite hours a... more inside

I have a wonderful property within walking distance to train 10 minutes in the Yarra valley. I currently have two bedrooms available. I am a professional woman in my late 50s and two adult children 26 & 29 who call in and lots of nieces and nephews in their twenties. I require help with some painting and household maintenance gutters cleaned, lawns mowed. My home borders the Yarra valley wine growing area which offers seasonal work. I also have a house on the Mornington Peninsula walking distance to the beach that also require general house hold maintenance. I would take people to the beach for the weekend. Initially I am offering a week stay with the
option of extending. Helpers must be able to speak English. It is a non smoking house. I eat wholesome food so any dietary restrictions you would need to cater for yourself and take care of your own washing. I am looking for enthusiastic travellers. Must have own travel insurance and working holiday visa. Hours needed approximatel... more inside

Who we are Seeking: A female or possibly a couple who would enjoy a mixture of work on a farm: gardening, house tasks, some farm tasks It would best suit someone flexible who enjoys a neat clean surrounding (we do). If you could help me learn to speak Spanish that would be a plus.

Our Approach: We look at this largely for the cultural interaction as well as getting things accomplished. We try to structure the tasks to allow you to have time to go walking, a go on short trips locally (there is quite a bit to see in this area).

Where you would stay: On a nice sheep farm in Western Victoria. We have a comfortable guestroom/with en suite near the house. We like nice meals and you would eat with us.

A bit about us...

We are a family farm-- husband, wife . Our children are 24 and 21 and are away working and at university. The farm is a sheep/ wool property in a lovely setting in western Victoria.

We really enjoy meeting people from overseas.

The weather is getting better now, and we are looking forward to sun-shiny days. We are looking for people who enjoy being outdoors and want to learn how to build an earth house with simple materials. We're building a house near Daylesford, Victoria. We are 10 minutes drive from Daylesford (natural spa and tourism region of Victoria). It is a friendly little village and we are building on 1 acre, next door to an lovely organic farm and 3 minutes walk from a general store that makes superb lunches/coffee. Rural, but not remote. We live in a neighbouring rental house with a spare room (double bed), plus lots of yard space for a campervan if that is your mode of travel. Right now we would love some help with gardening and cooking. And if you are willing to help with carpentry - mainly helping nail/screw framing timber, battens and that sort of thing, that would be excellent... We are a relaxed couple with a cat. Do get in touch!

We need someone to give us a hand with the up coming harvest! It will be a very short harvest this year due to the dry drought conditions. Just looking for an extra set of hands at times, no heavy work involved. A drivers licence would be an advantage. We would pay the travel costs to the farm from anywhere for a suitable person.
We run a wheat and sheep farm in north Victoria, close to the fruit growing towns of Cobram & Shepparton. Free camping or stay in the farm house. 125 Ha of crops are grown on the farm and about 600 sheep and 2 Alpacas,(plus chickens, dog and cat) plus native possums, and the occasional

Volunteer project Gippsland Victoria, Permaculture farm Eco Village

I want to create a community where people can live, grow their own food, do their own thing while looking after the environment and the community, be artistic and inventive, learn from each other and teach yet others again.
My permaculture farm, nature reserve and timber plantation is located 200km east of Melbourne in Gippsland,
The landscape is kind of like ‘lord of the rings’ story environment. It’s called a cold temperate rainforest. It is totally remote, stretching over several mountains and valleys with clean drinking water, native forest with massive centuries old trees (no pesticides ever been used to my knowledge). Cliffs, bridges, creeks, waterfalls, some old growth forest, fern trees, abundant wildlife etc. I guess you get the picture. We have a lot of rainfall so stuff never stops growing. But it gets cold in winter (regular frost overnight).
I want to find like minded people (there are three of u... more inside

I live on 2 hectares on the edge of Strathbogie township with four chooks and a rooster. Very beautiful garden with many trees (fruit and nut, exotics and native), vegetable garden and permaculture systems. Echidnas reside .... Koalas often visit .... birds galore.

Needing help right now with mulching trees, weeding, painting and more to choose from.

Self-contained accommodation in container-bungalo for single person or couple (see photos)… non-smokers please … children welcome. Main meals are shared, organic wholefood, fresh locally grown (when possible), vegetarian or meat dishes.

I enjoy spending time with people and also time to myself. Wholistic health, caring for all living things, creative expression and a joyful existence are important to me.

There’s often local activities to join in, beautiful forest and swimming holes nearby. Spectacular Mt. Wombat is five minutes away and bushwalking in the area is special.

At our home in Tallarook:
Here we are blessed and live very well in abundance. Mainly we grow vegetables and practice meditation and yoga. Other projects include beekeeping, running market stalls at key times of the year, establishing preparations for chickens, establishing infrastructure for the yoga festival here in November.
Production Gardens:
I have a 1/4 acre (pictured) which I crop veggies. crops for this season are beets, garlic, carrots, onion, beans, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower and more!
The Gardens at home and the farm are always in movement and action. They feed us well and give surplus in summer for events, markets and pickling.
The Home property:
At home the property has an orchard of 90 trees that in winter we can prune (I love pruning trees) and in summer can eat the fruits and pickle them also!
The broader property focuses on grape production for wine making. There is also paid work here during harvest time, and often help needed at other times with train... more inside
