Hi Helpers - We urgently need help doing up our house!!!!!
We are a small family of 3 who live in Co. Clare.
just outside the village of Lisdoonvarna. (3km). I am a wild-food forager and gather seaweed regularly. WE also have 3,5 acres of land in The Burren and will be working there, making dry stone walls, gardening, building a structure.

Work for March : Preparing beds for growing, tidying garden, painting a wood cabin, outside of the house and general house work. I also need some help doing up a van! so if you have carpentry skills you are definately welcome!!!

My 9 year old son Ruben doesn't go to school so some of your time will be spent creating with Ruben...

Your accommodation will be in a little wood cabin with a wood burner at the bottom of our garden. Meals are shared with us. We require that you sometimes cook and also help with the cleaning up etc. We prefer not to take strict vegans as we can't really cater for this.
As we live in the countryside, it can... more inside

I live in an old farmhouse, which is unfinished. I need help with the house and the garden, which is organic. STARTING FROM APRIL throughout summer and beyond, for short stays or long stays. Jobs would include weeding, mowing, strimming, raking gravel, tidying the sheds. House work could include normal housework, some building work or chopping wood. It's a very relaxed house and I work alongside you as much as possible. I really enjoy having people in the house, and love cooking for them. I had three woofers staying last year, and we worked together and enjoyed being together. I also brought them to Kilkenny to hear Irish music, and arranged for one of them to have homestays with four other families, after his stay with us, as he wanted to see more of Ireland.

The house is close to the river, and you can cycle or walk in to Graiguenamanagh beside the river (walking takes about 1.5 hours. I can usually give you a lift in to a couple of nearby towns (about 10-15 mins drive away)... more inside

Before you start reading this, I must tell you that I prefer my helpers to come in pairs. So if there are two of you, read on: We keep sheep, cows, pigs, hens and horses. We also grow a certain amount of cereal crops. The work is quite seasonal starting in Spring with lambing, then following the great miracle of birth through till autumn harvest, and the gathering in of grain and straw. The winter months are mostly clearing up from the previous summer, or preparing for the next one. Also tending to all our livestock. We have a polytunnel and small vegetable garden providing food for the house. When there are urgent jobs to be done we work whatever the weather and regardless of the day of the week. Accommodation is a bedroom in the house, and in spite of all I've said above, we do take time off for fun.
