We are an intentional community (from 15 to 25 short-term, part-time and long-term volunteers) from all over the world. We live in a beautiful rural area near the river Rhine, 2 km from Holland (see www.vlierhof.org).

We are more Dutch than German (but don't cling to national identities). We operate a biodynamic organic farm (greenhouse, vegetable beds, fruit trees); host workshops to enhance personal growth, consciousness and peace; and operate an ecological BnB. We grow some of our own food and we are vegetarian. We value self-sustainable practices. Camping is encouraged.

We are looking for volunteers, minimum stay of 3 weeks, preferably longer. We can use people with construction & maintenance skills and people willing to contribute physical labour in the farm and garden. Help in the kitchen and our seminar house is also possible.

We would like to invite people from all over the world to visit the Thuringian Forest in the green heart of Germany.

We are a farm on which several activities run at the same time. On the one hand it is the forestry of the region and on the other hand, the charitable nature conservation project is at home here.

We are busy all year round and look forward to people who also enjoy life in the countryside. The whole year we have a lot to do in the garden, planting vegetables. In the autumn apple harvest and traditional juice production takes place with the help of an 80 year old basket press.

In the spring, we plan to create a large variety of Permapa species in order to provide self-sufficiency. Furthermore, we have a large number of orchids, in which we carry out regular tree sections.
Not only that but also on the subject of forestry can be developed here and accompany us.

We are a life community that works together for nature conservation and realizes various projects. ... more inside

We are a little patchwork-family, live in a pretty house that is (re-)built ourself with some help from friends! Our region of Germany neighbours both Poland and the Czech Republic. Prague, for example, is only an hour away.
Our English is not perfect; We would like to improve this!...
We need helpers with our farm,We have several horses, some sheep, pigs, geese, many fruit trees, ... In addition to the "normal" chores, in preparation for and during the winter there is a lot of wood to cut, prepared for the oven, ... sometimes we can use help with the garden also!
Throughout the year we work on various inner and outside renovations (environmentally friendly) in different places, like apartments or bathrooms. We also bake tradional breads in an outdoor oven!
You can see deer, many nice and interesting places and fascinating people, lovely forests and a pretty home in a unique small town!!!
The atmosphere is very open and friendly, the helper(s) could work between 5 and 7 hours a... more inside

I need a helper for my small B&B. There are 8 rooms and 10 beds. Our guests are selfcatering, we do not offer meals or breakfast to our guests. The work to be done includes the daily routine in the house, welcome guests, and to have a look that our guests feel themselves welcome.
I will not always be in the house, so I need a helper who is working independently 4 hours a day and 5 days a week. Sufficient time for traveling and sightseeing or whatever is guaranteed. As I do not cook, I will pay 275,00 Euro for food to my helper.

Our former water mill is situated in private setting with a little current, meadows and a small piece of wood near the geographical center of Germany on the southern edge of the Harz mountains. Since the building has been abandoned for more or less 15 years, there is lots of things to do. We (Gabriel, Jule and all these wonderful helpers) have begun in January 2016 to restore the place mainly with material out of nature and from the neighbourhood ;-)
More than building new features, things are rearranged. Hence a former dog pound became a greenhouse with raised beds. Existing fences were taken down in order to re-erect them as a surrounding of the cottage garden. In the house, sleeping rooms are converted into an office, kitchen/ sitting room and the mill tower contains whatever we need at the moment. We love to experiment and to get creative. With some closed down train rails next door, the old mill current, a past electricity-supply tower, plenty of wild nature around us, a wonde... more inside

Currently only looking for carpenters who’d like to visit in March or later and feel capable to build glasshouses and raised beds

Hi out there :)

me and my family live on a farm in the countryside of Germany (right between Hamburg and Kiel) and would love to host someone to help us on the farm and mostly in the garden. Depending on the season and how much there is to do, we host one ore more people.

My mom is always thankful for help in our beautiful wild garden that is full of life and mystery. And when needed my dad is thankful for someone strong to help him with the cows as well. There are also tasks in and around the house.

We are vegan-friendly (three of five of us siblings are vegan, the other two and my parents not) and live on an all natural farm (my dad loves his Scottish cattle that are outside all year).

You’d be staying in my parents’ house and live and work with them. Me and my sister’s family live in the houses next door, my brothers live further away. ... more inside

Dear helpxer,

we are a friendly and a little bit crazy family which consists of three human members (me, Dörte, my boyfriend Andreas and our daughter Luzie (five years old)), two ponies, a small dog and five chicken. We live together in a normal house on about 3000 qm plot of land - plus lease pastures in the surrounding - in a rural area at the outskirts of Osterholz-Scharmbeck (near Bremen).

Osterholz-Scharmbeck is a small town with a population of about 30.000. From our house to the town center and the train station it’s about 3 km, so you can walk to or go by bike. By train it’s about 20 minutes to the city center of Bremen, where you can go sightseeing or shopping or dancing or you can visit theatres and museums. The North Sea is reachable by train, too. It takes about 30 minutes to Bremerhaven and 90 minutes to Hamburg.
If you want to spend time nearby, you can walk or run or cycle in the fields and woods and if you like to, it’s possible to ride our ponies. Shopping po... more inside
