I am on my own (age 68) trying to look after a garden that was abandoned for 10 years and control an organic vegetable plot and orchard.
I would like help to make a proper hedge from the overgrown bushes around the perimeter.
I also need help with repainting the shutters.
I have a fully self-contained ground floor flat available with one large bedroom, sitting/dining room, kitchen and bathroom plus french and english TV.

I have a organic soap kitchen in the middle of the fields, and would like to have a permaculture garden, but just don't find the time to.
I would need help outdoors with the donkeys & fruit trees (essentially peach&hazelnut, about 50 trees) and why not restart a garden for cooking herbs etc (f.ex. little garden with all the plants I use in the soaps...).
I have a little baby and almost never find the time to cook when my bigger children -both 11 years old- are at their daddys place, so somebody liking to cook would appreciated:-)

You will have a little appartment above the soap kitchen (but it's not 100% finished yet...), free internet & phone to "tÚlÚphones fixes" in Europe, but best would be a own car we are 5km away from the village and I only have one car.

We had 3 helpexchangers here between 2007-2010, a young english couple who came back 3 times, a japanese artist and a german friend. They stayend between 3 weeks and 3 months. As I cancelled my ancient account during... more inside

Hello, I live in a peaceful town, close to Paris, my flat and my mother's house require some work (paint, wallpaper and depending on your skills a little plumbing and masonry). Work would focus instead on the weekend and you will have a lot of leisure to visit Paris or Versailles. I offer the bedroom. For the meals, we will see in terms of our agreements. I'd prefer English or Russian-speaking people and non-smokers.

Bridget and Neil living and working on 16 acres of land growing vegatables, trees and grapes. In between, a renovation project to the existing buildings and construction of a new timber framed barn. The barn will be fabricated using green Douglas Fir (Oregon Pine). All in the old Charentaise style. We also have a dog called Jack who is probably the best and nicest dog in the whole world!

The highlights of the year are:-
- the fire wook quota (Oak and Chestnut from own woods)
- the vegetable and fruit harvest along with preserving and freezing
- the making of Pineau (a fortified wine approx 17% alcohol)
- last but not least Bridget and I are both musicians playing traditional Celtic music, folk and whatever takes our fancy.

We have been living and working here for the last 17 years. The property is set in 23 acres (9.25 hectares) and is made up of a hunting lodge, farmhouse and a rundown Porcherie. Jennifer is a catering manager in hospitality for a motor sport team, Malcolm is a working musician. Malcolm also works as a professional antique stove restorer, so there are always interesting architectural antiques about the place. We are both in our 50s. Jennie has a wide repertoire in the kitchen and is quite happy to teach those that are willing. She can teach the following cuisines: Indian; French; Cordon Bleu and good old fashioned English country cooking. Jennie is also an excellent vegetarian cook.

We have three adorable donkeys, three miniature black sheep, a flock of interesting breed chickens, a pond full of Indian runner ducks and a Toulouse goose. We also have four cats one of which is a pedigree Maine Coon. We have a productive veggie plot which helps to feed us throughout the year. We look... more inside

My horticulture and market-gardening is situated in the most southern part of France still in the plains just at the foot of the Pyrenees. You'll live in a mobile-home (equipped with all comfort: fridge, shower, tv, internet etc.) at a place in nature with a magnificent view at the Mount Canigou. You can easily reach any destination by train or bus. I grow vegetables and flowers, I have chickens, greenhouses, orchards and open fields, and sell on markets. I'd like help with all parts of my work, 5 days per week, 6 hours per day. I am a German woman, speaking also good French and not so bad English.

We moved to this property just over two years ago. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The neighbouring property has a shepherd living there with a small flock of sheep & a small herd of goats, and the horses that are in the fields for the winter months will soon be taken up to the mountains in the Pyrenees for the summer.

My son (aged 32) is back helping us with a lot of the DIY, but every now and then he returns to where he lives to do other jobs. My daughter (aged 27) lives with her partner nearby and our grand-daughter had her first birthday in March. Both my son and daughter are completely bilingual and I speak French reasonably well ~ my husband still struggles! We are retirement age, but still very active. However, my husband is not a DIY person, but does love the garden. We really could do with some help on all sorts of levels and hope to find somebody who would enjoy being in France for a while.

There's usually some tasks to be done with our newly created veg... more inside

We are based in a small village in the Vendee West of France and are an English couple with 3 young sons who have escaped the rat race and found peace and tranquility in a fabulous area in France with a superb micro climate and where traditional values still apply.

We are in western France, approximately 1hr inland from La Rochelle.
We are ideally located for exploring France and run our own successful gite business from here in Vendee France. The region has much to offer and many diverse activities are within easy reach including the Puy Du Fou and the green venice Marais Poitevin as well as many blue flag beaches and local vineyards.

We are offering free accommodation with all meals provided within our own large farmhouse which is situated within our courtyard of buildings with the lovely medieval church as the backdrop.
In return for working 7 hrs per day 9-12PM AND 2PM-6PM, 5 days a week with the obligatory lunch break.

We are looking for skilled hard working people a... more inside
