Bonjour !
We are a french couple about 35 years, with two small children (4 and 5 years). We bought an old farm house with its outhouses: barn, piggery .... Set on a plot of 4000 m2. We are located in the mountains of the little Pyrenees, 450 meters above sea level. The hamlet is located at the heart of the woods and meadows, and the few people live with sheep, chickens, cows, horses, rabbits and pigs. The place is peaceful, it invites to walks and picking chestnuts, mushrooms ...
We started work reamnagement, but there is still a lot to do, and a few pairs of hands would be welcome. You can be experienced or not, it depents on kind ok tasks.
we can also need a babysitter and housekeeper (for cooking, cleaning ...), a gardener, or somebody who can built some things with wood.
Feel free to offer your services for anything, we will study any proposal.
From september 2013, we need a woman to live with us for some time, take care of the house (cleaning, cooking ..) as well as child... more inside

Hi
I'm an Australian singer who is working in Paris over the next 3 months. I'm traveling with my two children aged 3 and 5. We will be staying in a small studio in Bastille.
We offer a mattress on the floor for a young traveler, non-smoking, non-drinking, preferably female, who is able to sleep there most nights, in return for me having the added security of another adult in the home overnight.
Please drop me a line if you have any questions...

Hello, my name is Margaret, an English hostess who needs help mainly with ground clearance and general DIY.

My home is an old farm house still needing quite a lot of work. I am in the process of installing a kitchen and toilet in the integral cow shed. The upstairs bathroom is functional.

The house is set in approx 2 acres of land which has been sadly neglected over the last couple of years allowing the bracken to spread extensively.

Help is required to cut back the bracken, initially in the orchard, and with DIY in the house, pricipally finishing the kitchen floor, the re-organisation of the plumbing and installation of a replacement kitchen sink.

I also have a country cottage, some ten miles away, which needs finishing touches and work in the overgrown garden. There is an adjacent cottage requiring complete renovation with a totally overgrown neglected garden. (I am not currently offering accommodation at this address)

I am an amateur musician, having sung... more inside

Hi, as autumn winter approaches we are looking for a more long-term live/work arrangement, this would suit a couple best......so if you are looking for a place to spend a few months please feel free to get in touch.

We live in a small mountain farm in the Pyrenees, having moved here last autumn we are now completing the “yoga barn” which needs floor tiling, some external pointing and some zinc guttering work completed.

Its mostly outdoor work and physical, we like to do it as and when we feel like but usually in short bursts, a few hours at a time leaving time to read, snooze and generally enjoy the nature and environment here.

If you are self aware and love nature, cats and dogs, mountain/country living, occasional yoga, working land, making things, sharing meals and living with friends, our project may be for you.

We always like to "meet" volunteers by skype or phone.

Thanks for looking in, if it feel right it probably is.

Thanks for your visit.

Ian and Nina.

We have been living on a small (17.5 hectare) 50 ewe sheep farm deep in the Armagnac countryside since 1977. We ceased to be officially 'Bio' 5 years ago, owing to rising EEC costs of being so, but we still are unofficially, very much so.
I am British, 62, a professional writer and translator as well as a small farmer, and my wife of 37 years, Deborah, is a cooking writer and superb gardener from Texas. We live here all the year round and have done since the beginning. Our children, both born in France, are now married and reside in the USA. We're beginning to need a bit of muscular help with farm and garden. We would therefore like to exchange room and board for occasionally strenuous work. Ideally we are looking for people with a country background, for up to a month at a time; the help would involve labour in our large vegetable and flower gardens, and general odd jobs like roof repair, fencing, clearing and woodcutting with me around the farm. Someone able to drive a small trac... more inside

We run a small-holding with accommodation on our farm, and have been resident in this beautiful part of Normandy for over 7 years. We have ponies sheep and other animals, as well as an organic vegetable garden, so work would include garden maintenance, working with the animals and general helping out around the farm.

our season runs from March to November, but we have renovation and building projects outside of these dates. We are located by the coast (10 minutes), beautiful sandy beaches with very few people. We have rooms in our house, or one of the gites on site if available.

Lots to do and see including the granite coast, d-day landing sites and the mont st. Michael. Not a lot of nightlife, would suit country and animal lovers.

We have bikes and possible vehicle use, why not drop us a line?

Cheers

Wil and Amanda

Very small and rural homestead/smallholding with a large vegetable garden and small orchard and an assortment of outbuildings and annexes in various states of repair. I've been living here since 2010 with a couple of dogs, a couple of cats, a few chickens and a whole lot of homegrown produce. I need help (25 hours a week to be covered how you like) with general gardening duties - absolutely no experience necessary - keeping the small vineyard (150 vines) under control, picking fruit, weeding, mowing, digging, planting - whatever seasonal tasks are on the agenda. It could be pruning one week and picking cherries the next, or digging up carrots or planting a herb garden. It's very diverse! There's also a lot to be done on the house, including simple stuff like painting right the way through to helping me gut and refurbish the kitchen and bathroom. I have electric, but no television. The internet connection is superb, but in summer, the only reason to come inside is to escape the heat... more inside
