We are a British couple who divide our time between the UK and our delightful home in Lower Normandy (Basse Normandie). We think the house (it`s really a fairly substantial cottage!) was originally built in 1837 as part of a farm, but it has been entirely reconstructed within the last few years - highly insulated, central heating etc. We are about 1 mile from the village proper and our nearest neighbours are fourteen or fifteen cows who munch their way through a next-door field. We are right in the middle of the Normandy battlegrounds of the Second World War and there`s a British Military Cemetary in the village. If you drive, it`s just under an hour to Bayeux, an hour and a half to Mont St Michel. Paris is a 2 1/2 hour train ride away from our local big town (Vire).

We are not taking enquiries at the moment, but in April 2019 we will need some help with the maintenance and development of the land and house. Diana wields a mean paintbrush and is Head Gardener, I (Kevin) am pr... more inside

I need a handyman/woman and some to help with my small but rampant garden.

We live in a large property in rural Normandy, in a small village opposite a medieval church. William the Conqueror used to have a chateau here but it has long gone now.

We are Mum, Scarlett 26, Morgan 21 and Oliver 19. The kids are away working or at uni most of the time.

We have a small project teaching English as a foreign language to students which is very rewarding.

Everyone, family and helpers, join in with the cleaning and washing up.

I need people who know how to paint walls and doors, (drip free), and people who are good at giving the place a jolly good deep clean.

We have a small garden that needs constant attention. Everything grows like crazy here. We need people who know the difference between a plant and a weed.

We are fun and easy going and treat our helpers as part of the family.

We are not far from the golden beaches at Granville/Ca... more inside

Especially interested in helpers with experience in tree surgery..

No helper opportunities until late September..

We are very willing to host helpers, but on the basis of no more than two persons for a maximum of two weeks during the Summer.

We are a retired English couple, living in Lower Normandy with a pygmy goat, 2 obnoxious geese, 2 friendly dogs and 5 attention seeking cats. We need help with animal care, gardening, renovations and cleaning in exchange for board and lodging. Some heavy outdoor manual work may be involved. Helpers must be prepared to cuddle up with a cat or dog occasionally! We can share with you animal husbandry skills, local culture and history and can help to improve your French or English language. No shopping malls or clubs - you must be prepared for a very simple but peaceful way of living. Suit helpers looking for an experience away from the rat race. Vegetarians catered for and we have a large library of English books, wireless broa... more inside

Stay in a traditional restored 18th Century granite farmhouse with 20 acres of wooded countryside and farmland. Nestled high up on the side of a gentle valley that slopes down to a brisk tributary, the River Dathee.

Primarily to assist with the household upkeep and some garden maintenance (weather permitting) requirement which is ongoing. An ability to undertake light manual work inside and outside also would be welcomed.

A private double bedroom is provided with shared living room, kitchen and bathroom facilities.

Help in Normandy

We are particularly looking for help with outside stuff, and maybe some painting. Minimum stay 2 weeks, and the longer the better in general. We are happy to have people anytime of the year.

We are coming to the end of the major renovation project that is our 14th century home. We moved in in May 2017, and have been working ridiculously hard to try and finish the house, while setting up our small holding, with sheep, horse, ducks, chickens and cats.

We are a bilingual French/English family with 4 kids (13, 12,12, 9). Since 2010 we have had over 50 helpers, with quite a few staying for over a year (and some over 2 years) which has been fabulous.

This stay would really suit a couple or 2 friends, so that you have company as we are out all day and away pretty regularly. Or someone happy with their own company, and good at visiting by themselves. We do our best to insure that if you need a car then there is one available.

The principal reason we are cu... more inside

Looking now for enthusiastic helpers for Sept - December 2018, preferably for a minimum of four weeks. Longer stays welcomed.

We expect to be busy throughout 2018 although the main tourist season remains from April to October. I prefer to take workers who are keen to take their place as members of our team providing a quality service for paying guests.

I am the proprietor of a large Chambres d'Hotes in a quiet village in Southern Normandy, just north of the town of Avranches. I was formerly a teacher (Head of Business and Economics in a large Comprehensive school) in England but have now organised a busy Bed and breakfast business here in Normandy, and have recently become a partner with a leading hotel company. I have other members of my family living in the neighbouring village of Montviron who help at the business from time to time . The village of Le Luot is very small and provides a peaceful and relaxing environment.

You are invited to help us provide a quality serv... more inside
