Welcome in the parc naturel régional du Morvan!

This Burgundy area has many cycling and marked walking trails, a very rich biodiversity and 4 seasons which have each their own charme.

Permaculture is my tool to live in and with nature and offer wild life an interesting habitat so it can develop as rich as possible. My gardens are registered refuges by the Ligue Pour la Protection des Oiseaux (LPO).
Long term helpers can tend a permaculture design course. Books about permaculture in English and Dutch are available.

All sort of work to help out depending on the season. In the vegetable garden and orchard grow and harvest food, with the restoration of my in 1875 constructed farm using traditional building methods when possible. There are some chickens, bees and the dogs Sam and Joep to take care for. Build a rocket stove, resize the original wood fired bread oven, construct stairs, insulate the new roof, install therm.solar panels, cut and take care for... more inside

Hello travelers,
I am the proud owner of a historic castle from the 15th century, situated in the middle of the countryside of Burgundy.
If the building is habitable as it is, the gardens and grounds require substantial work that I can not carry out alone.
The walls need to be stripped of their invasiveness ivy, dry stone walls of the paths are partially collapsed, trails are not passable overgrown, fruit plantations are to be undertaken, etc. ...
Accommodation in the castle or in tents, bicycles available, wireless internet.
If you have skills in wood or building you are more than welcome.

The Next Operation of tree planting is scheduled in November 2019.
September,October open.
.
We are relatively isolated 10 km from shops and 40 minutes north of Dijon.
Simplicity, sincerity.

My beautiful holiday and seminar center, in a quiet idyllic location in the countryside with many nice surprises, invites you to live here for a while together and work together.

There is a large self-catering vegetable garden, many fruit trees, bees, chickens, horses and donkeys and many birds; also two dear dogs and a few cats live here.
There are 5 cottages, a pizzeria, a pyramid for events, but also a pool and a sauna.

The people who spend time with us have their own house at their disposal, such as cooking and eating together at least once a day. We play, discussing and have fun and a good time together.

There is a lot of work to be done all year round, the care of the vegetable garden, the provision of holidays and seminars, but also wood making mowing; there are also with smaller construction works.
The next major construction project is the construction of a hobbit house made of clay and straw.

I would be very happy to be your host.
All the best,
Philippe.

We are a family homestead, trying to produce ourself as much as possible, the food we need, year round.
We try to be self sufficient for veggies, diary, eggs, meat, honey and wood.
I'm looking for a friend to help me with construction, gardening, some beekeeping and fencing. I prefer somebody who likes living a simple and healthy life full of love and respect for the nature surrounding us. I prefer no consumption alcohol, cigarettes or drugs of any kind as this would spoil the effect of living close to nature as we do.
In return we live in pure air, eat veggies from the garden, shower with source water and now and then eat our own meat.
We are somewhat isolated but by bicycle or car a small town (2000inh) can be reached at 15km where we have everything we need.

Hello, i am à former helper and enjoyed very much this system for discovering new places and meeting local people. After 20 years working for multinationals, I quit the corporate life and settled down in Burgundy and renovated a eighteen century’s house into a bed and breakfast and a bistrot. The B&B is located close to a beautiful château Italian Renaissance and not far away from Chablis well known for its white wine, 180 kms from Paris, 300 kms from Lyon, 410 from Brussels, and 350 kms from Geneva. Many interesting sites to be visited: among others abbey of Fontenay, Ancy le Franc, the canal of Burgundy, Auxerre. In the village you can enjoy hiking or biking in the surroundings, forest and vineyards, tennis courts in the village, swimming in the river.
The period, I am looking for people is 2 first weeks in July , 2 last weeks of August And after mid September 2019.
I require help for the cleaning of the bedrooms and helping for the breakfasts and cooking.
Other activities: hel... more inside

Our objective could be described as following: To live on an organic farm of about 38 ha, searching for alternative ways of life going beyond a materialistic level, while at the same time maintaining a social and inspiring life in the countryside. We try to live along with a diversified nature, more respectful and joyful, seeking economic resources in agreement with our ideals.
It has been 36 years Josy and Willy started, now, that is: Josy and Willy, Benjamin, Cecilie Scillia, Lena, Kasia and Célestin are on the farm.We have a great diversity of activities. This has allowed us to develop an autonomous, ecologic, beautiful and social life. We practice mixed farming. Taking care of our animals, fruit trees, vegetables, and food transformation.
Our work varies throughout the seasons and depending on the development of our farm:
• Cereals: wheat (flour, bread). Cereals for animals (oats, barley, peas, triticale…), dry beans.
Work: put the compost, sow, plant, weed, collect, sort, ... more inside

We are a recently retired French/UK couple. In March 2017 we bought a 'small', 'modern' chateau dating from 1800 full of charm. It is in a lovely setting within one kilometre of Noyers sur Serein, a mediaeval walled town rated amongst the most beautiful in France with a small mixed international community including artists and musicians.Transport links are good to Paris (one hour by TGV from Montbard which is 30km away a little longer but more economical from Tonnere).

The chateau is comfortable but was in need of complete refurbishment, much of which we are doing ourselves. We can offer en suite accommodation and the chance to enjoy the superb local food and wine. Our project is to make the house a great home and beautify it to ready it for letting as a whole and hosting events. We need help with the garden especially and for improving the outbuildings and grounds. Jobs can be tailored to match available skills, time and interests. Experience and maturity welcomed.

In March 2015, we moved from a Belgian city life to a smallholding in an idyllic area in the south-east of Burgundy, where we are keeping chickens, bees, sheep, producing organic vegetables and we're experimenting with growing our own cereals.

During the last couple of years, we renovated the house and received lots and lots of helping friends (and friends of friends) and we discovered that we love working with other people, whatever their skills are. Now the house has become cosy and liveable, our attention is moving outwards.

Anyone who is willing to help is more than welcome, especially if you like both outdoor work and to give a hand in the household as well.

You will arrive in a young family (two daughters –Madeleine and Toinette- and a baby boy Josquin) where we love to have fun, to be outside, to produce authentic food and to have a good glass of Burgundy wine with a nice conversation.

Accomodation is modest but good: you can sleep in a tent or in the barn, w... more inside
