It is time to find some more helpers as I am missing my cultural experience and also have lots of jobs to do. Currently there is some moving of tools etc into a new shed and building shelves.

If you enjoy interacting with a Kiwi host, playing pictionary and having fun, then come join me for a week or even longer if things go well.

You need to be enthusiastic about working-lots of easy farm jobs, gardening, painting, waterblasting, the list goes on. I will match the jobs with your skills but also teach you new skills that are not too hard.
Projects to be done to personalise your experience.

My farm is 10kms off State Highway 1 towards Wellington, very easy to stop off on your way to the ferry!

I am middle aged woman who runs a 25ha farm with beef cattle and goats in a small rural village 30mins from Palmerston North in the North Island of New Zealand. My house is 1km away from the seaside which is good for fishing and swimming.

I work in the dairy industry from home s... more inside

Space available 17 to 24 December. If you are keen on being part of finishing our Straw Bale house or just helping out with our animals and gardening, this is the place for you. We are a down to earth kiwi family of five who live on a unique block of land just an hour north of our creative capital Wellington.

We run a local tourist attraction by the name of Loco. A 1/4 acre of miniature railway running through themed surroundings in lush gardens. There is also a newly developed petting zoo which is getting lots of smiles.

We also have an organic garden which we use for ourselves and trade for local produce.

You'll be accomodated in a cute retro caravan located a comfortable distance from the main house with has spectacular views of the ranges. You are also welcome to use the house at all times.

Most of the work we would ask you to do is in the garden, general weeding and tidying, some firewood chopping, animal care and help with building our Strawbale house. if the w... more inside

***HELP WANTED FOR BEGINNING OF 2019***
We are looking for 2 young people who are outgoing, strong and willing to assist us with various outdoor projects at the main farmhouse, these could be, but not limited to gardening, landscaping and painting.
The house was built in 1929 and has an extensive garden that we are wanting to refresh. Three of our adult children are coming home to assist us in March with the project and we are looking for a little extra help. Depending on experience there could be an opportunity to work on the farm.

We live at the bottom of the North Island east of Wellington on the shores of Lake Ferry. The South Wairarapa is picturesque and there is plenty to do outdoors. Cape Palliser is a 40 minute drive from us. A fun social scene is not too far in Martinborough and it is an international award winning wine region. Wellington is an hour away by train.

We are looking forward to sharing our patch of paradise with you.

We are fully booked over christmas and new years but will be interested in volunteers for late January 2019 onwards.

We are interested in organics, biodynamics and healthy living. Couples and solo travellers are welcome. My husband works at the local Maori University in environmental science and I am working as a social worker with young people.

Jobs on the property include, work in the gardens, property/house maintenance and household chores. Most jobs here are very physical so a good level of strength and fitness is required.

We live 15 minutes cycle from the beach and 10 minutes drive from the hills. So walking, swimming, biking and surfing are things we like to do and can try to help facilitate visitors to do also(however no beach activities in the winter months (its too cold!).

We all enjoy having visitors from around the world to our place a... more inside

We have just moved to a beautiful 9.5 acre block and are active cleaning everything up, growing fruit (orchard is already established), and veges in a small greenhouse.

We are a family of two adults, two cats and two dogs (all pets are fed raw), and are enjoying spending time at the land. We could use some help with collecting firewood (which is spread all over the place), weeding, using ride-on lawn mower and weed eater, planting and re-planting, repairing of buildings and sheds, mulching, sometimes looking after our dogs - depending on your preferences.

We have a separate sleep out for one person to stay, which contains toilet and shower as well. Internet is available.
Due to hyper sensitivities we are smoke and perfume free.

We are living right at the Golf Course. This is just 5 minutes away from Otaki town, and 5 minutes to the beach, with a car. A car is available for short trips, but if you plan to do longer excursions in the area, you would need your own vehicle or ... more inside

We are looking for one or two helpers any time from now for about a week to ten days, to help with cleaning and painting our outdoor and deck area. Our last helpers could not finish those jobs cause the weather was too wet and windy. We are looking for someone who can handle a pressure washer, ideally has some experience painting fences and decks and can help with general gardening and weeding. We are a Kiwi-German-Italian family of 4 and two original Kiwi cats at the very edge of Palmerston North overlooking the Manawatu River. Palmerston North is halfway between Wellington and the Central Plateau Volcanos (Tongariro), and can be easily reached by Intercity Bus. We have a pretty luxurious downstairs bedroom with a comfortable double bed and its very own modern en-suite bathroom. The area is great for running, walking and cycling along the river just behind our garden fence, or to enjoy the benefits of a larger town, eg cinema, theatre, restaurants, shopping etc. We have bikes you ... more inside
