We’re looking for cool and outgoing peeps to stay with us in the CBD of Wellington.

We are Tamsi (26) and Brent (29) from Germany and New Zealand living and working together in Wellington. We just started our own business after travelling for 3 years. We were woofing ourselves while travelling and now want to offer our place for someone to stay. We are hippies that lived in a VW van and several communities all over Europe. We work a lot but also love the good things in life.

What we want: someone who helps cleaning bathrooms, making beds and does some entertainment. Around 2 hours of work in exchange with accommodation only. (but hey we really just want you to live with us and help here and there a bit to make our lives a bit easier)

Who we want: someone easy going who’s fun to be around, with a can do attitude, that is a bit of a hippie too, lovely, open-minded, and quirky and easy to be with. You should be a social person with a positive attitude that likes to meet new pe... more inside

Hi, we live in Wellington in two old, turn of the century, historic cottages (1860`s) that are 200 paces above the street, private, set in the bush amongst the song of tui and kaka. It is an easy 20 minute walk into the central city.

Note: we are not a farm.

We are self-employed, busy and very hands on in all that we do. We are a couple with two adult daughters, one has recently returned home to live with us.
We provide all your food and accommodation, in exchange for about 8 hours help on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and 4 hours on Thursday. This gives you a 3 day weekend to explore and relax. (The hours can vary depending on whether we are in a middle of a job that must get finished - for example - building a roof before it rains). The accommodation is rough at the moment as we are in the middle of renovating these old cottages... if you don`t expect a palace you will be fine.

We need your skills in one of these areas:
1. Building and restoring the ... more inside

I am German and have lived in New Zealand for 20 years. My two children live here half the week (4yr and 16yr), which tends to be the more social half of the week (other half I work a lot). We have a Kiwi dog, 6 kiwi chickens and 2 Kiwi guinea pig.

Only five minutes drive from Hutt city, or 20 min to Wellington by train.

We live amidst a very beautiful native bush setting with a small stream running through the property, lots of Fantail, Kererus, Tui and other native birds. Enjoy unlimited access to the bush via walking tracks which go right to the top of the hills above Wainuiomata via fire breaks, or take a quick 20-minute loop walk to work up an appetite before dinner.

Right now I am looking for someone mainly for painting, gardening work and some cleaning. Anyone with woods skills would also be very handy. If you can handle a chainsaw let me know! You must be happy to work if it's raining as most work is outdoors.

The suggested arrangement is for you to work ... more inside

We do currently have a couple projects going and are looking for helpers with practical skills.

There is some work to do with taking apart and repairing a car... we've got the skills and tools just not the time. Anyone with mechanical skills out there who would like to HelpX in Wellington?

The other projects includes wood and garden work. Builders and carpenters! Come stay with us!

We just had some helpers stay who did 2 hours solid work per day for accommodation only. This worked really well and a preferred model for us.

============================================

There is always a spare bed for someone who is keen to help with renovations around the house.

Carpenters, builder or mechanic skills would be a bonus as we need some help with building a fence and help us with the project of turning two cars into one.

We are not looking for a cheap worker but for someone who will turn into a friend while helping around the house.

Hi, we are a Dutch/New Zealand family with 3 children aged between 16-25 years. We have moved from the beach in Paekakariki to a beautiful lifestyle block in Te Horo, (1 hour from Wellington) on the Kapiti Coast.

Our youngest son Thijs is 17, terribly friendly and a very nice guy to have around. Stefan is 26, he is our outdoor man, hunts in his spare time and is currently working on an estate in the Highlands, Scotland. Dom, our middle son, is a painter and lives in Paekakariki. The other members are our 4 cats and 2 dogs plus Loki and Andy, our beautiful horses, 6 chickens and 7 sheep that are still to be named...

We are a happy, easy going family who like the outdoors, and we have embraced a lifestyle with natural and mostly free range/organic food. We also cater for those following the Paleo lifestyle.

Our block is about 8 acres and divided over 3 paddocks, some forest and gardens.

We are looking for some help (single person or couple) around the garden, with planting... more inside

HELP REQUIRED

Hey HelpXers ??

We`re looking for a motivated, keen and friendly person (or couple) to help us in our waterfront lodge and our pop-up campsite. We`re in an amazing location right by the sea, just 15-20 minutes to the city and we`ve got all you need in terms of facilities: kitchen, toilets, showers, lounge, bbq etc etc. There are plenty of walking and cycling tracks around the area, a very nice licensed cafe right next door, safe swimming/kayaking/SUPing in the harbour across the road... you can come and go as you please...

We ask that volunteers do a couple of hours per day - work will include cleaning, general tidying, and if you are keen.... Some painting and decorating and some basic DIY

Ideally you`ll be laid-back, easy going, helpful, reliable, resourceful, creative and friendly.

Normally we ask that you commit to 2 weeks and then we can discuss staying longer if either of us wants to extend it :)

We`re into music, food, wine and all things camp... more inside

Hi,

We live in a sunny, private home in the beautiful suburb Northland. You can walk to the botanic garden in 5-10 minutes or to the city center in around 35 minutes or you can take the bus - the bus station is just 1 minute away.

In return for accomodation, breakfast and dinner we expect 20 hours work/week for housework and babysitting/childcare.
We are a German family with two children (2 + 5 years). Because of the childcare non smokers only please.

We can provide a warm, large room with a view and wi fi and are located in one of Wellington's more central suburbs.
