We live on an orchard 12 minutes north of Kerikeri, in the Bay of Islands, growing blueberries. We would love help in the orchard now that the picking season has finished.

We ask our helpers for 4 hours work a day (but not Sundays) in exchange for accommodation and 3 meals a day. Please bring wet weather gear in case it rains. Free Wifi is also available. We prefer you to have your own car, as we live out of town with no public transport. You will have your own separate accommodation, with a kitchen, lounge, bathroom and laundry.

We are a Christian family and do not work on Sundays, but ask for staying that day you please work 2 hours in exchange for accommodation and organise your own meals. WAIMATE NORTH is in the popular Bay of Islands region, near KERIKERI and PAIHIA (pronounced Pie Here)

A new message from Noelle and Graham ...
Spring season has arrived and the birds are nest building on our 3.3 landscaped hectares with two olive groves of 150 trees and four large ponds with waterlillies and ducks and swamp birds.
There are lots of birds and rabbits(all accepted and welcome) two beautiful white swans and a goose called Eric.
Graham has breakfast and lunch every day with a handsome myna bird he raised from an egg last December. Josef flies free 24 hrs a day but likes to stay close by. He thinks we are an excellent myna restaurant! He tells lies!

Our orchard of twenty trees includes 10 avocado trees of four varieties on rich volcanic soil.

Based in Doubtless Bay we live on a 10 acre olive grove based in the Far North, NZ, which is only 5-10 minutes from some of the most stunning beaches in New Zealand (2 in the NZ top 10).

We are generally looking for help with mowing, pruning, spraying, landscaping, small building work and general maintenance around the property. There is also the odd babysitting on occasions as we also run our own media business as well as house work. All dependant on the time of year.

Currently need someone for outdoor work and projects around the property.

We’ve a double bedroom available for a single or couple that are happy to share that opens out on to the main deck with views across the olive grove. Or we also have space for tents if that is your preference.

Meals and accommodation is provided and if you like animals we`ve three small dogs and two cats that make up the rest of the family.

Kia Ora!
Help wanted now

We’re a couple living on a large lifestyle block on the edge of the Waima river arm of the Hokianga Harbour.
There’s a variety of work around the house, bush, gardens and farmland.

The property is a mixture of pasture, orchard, remnant native forest and undulating land in transition back to native bush. We also have a lot of tough weeds we are clearing. The work can be physically demanding so people usually take a few days off to go on a road trip adventure.
Stay 1-2 weeks

We try to incorporate permeculture and spend most of our time working outside. Our farm follows the Ohuri river with a magical mangrove forest and native wetland for about a kilometre to the confluence with the Waima river.

We have 2 spare rooms in a separate area of our big historic house that was part of the hotel in Rawene 100 years ago. It`s very comfortable and private but we all share the same bathroom.

4 - 4.5 hours work for every night stayed.
Work is before l... more inside

We have 10 hectares which is mainly native bush, with three holiday chalets, and 400 vines planted last September.
Our chalets are 3 years old and we recently built our own house on nearby land.
We are a family of 3, Claire, Richard and our daughter Tess who is 8 years old and goes to school in Russell. We also have chickens, a cat, guinea pigs and two dogs
A drivers licence and vehicle would be useful as we are reasonably rural.
We are looking for 1 or 2 people to help us with gardening, cleaning, childcare, and any other projects we may have on the go...
Your accommodation would be in a separate part of our house with its own bathroom and unlimited wifi provided.
