Family of 3
Right now we have a lot of house work. Also some garden work. Pruning, weeding, building a frame for berries, path making.

We are artists working from home and living from land.
We have a milking goat, chickens, fish and a dog.
You will work for 4 1/2 hours a day.
Accomodation is in outside room. Shower and toilet inside main house. Eat and live with our family. We also like our own space from around 10pm each night ask that you would head off to your own room about then - Thanks.

We live next to the Motueka river which is great for swimming (summer)and trout fishing and walking. Abel Tasman and Kahurangi national parks close by. Motueka is a lovely small town.

Red works at home as a artist blacksmith using traditional methods of forging.
Sarah works as a hand weaver, makes pottery and paints.
Angus 15 years loves football, movies and games.

We grow as much of our food as we can which takes a lot of work so expect to garden 2 hours a day.

Kia Ora. We are a family of 2 - myself and my son Emanuel (12 years old). For the past 7 years I have been creating my "place" on a high hill overlooking Tasman Bay, minutes from Nelson. A scrubby slope is being transformed into paths and terraces, organic veggie gardens and fruit trees, and regenerating bush. Our new house offers upscale tourist accommodation. New creation is constantly taking place and care of the existing, all grateful for your help.
Ongoing is garden and land development chores and housekeeping. Keen on building, joinery, and web design professionals as these are now at the top of the to-do list.
***** On the practical side for short term helpXing - We find that 4-5 days is about right (would welcome long term if there's chemistry). Maturity, initiative, and can-do attitude, follow-through and attention are appreciated. You must be comfortable being with kids, no smoking, drugs or alcohol please. You will be our guest and part of our family but we will not cle... more inside

Hi there
Thanks for your interest in staying with us.

Stoke is a hop skip and a jump from the Nelson airport; a 15 minute drive to Nelson City and close to all the beautiful areas Nelson has to offer! We are on the border of Richmond so quite central to this area too.

As far as helping is concerned we need assistance with shifting a house lot of belongings from one place to another in Central Nelson from 9-12 October. So you need to be strong and able to lift heavy items! You will be working with us and my sister and brother-in-law whose house lot we are moving!

Not being afraid of hard work, taking pride in what you have achieved and having a helpful attitude is what we expect from a helper.

In return for 4-5 hours per person a day we will provide meals, free wifi and a shared bedroom and bathroom. The earlier you get up the quicker your work is done (sleep in if you want to cook dinner!) - leaving you the afternoons and evenings free to your adventures here in New... more inside
