We are a semi retired couple living on the forest margin, growing vegetables and basket willow. We invite travellers to share our little slice of paradise in exchange for help maintaining our garden and basket willow plantation. We eat mostly organic food and while we eat some meat we can accommodate vegetarians. The famous Mussel Inn is just down the road and we are 5 mins drive from the beach.
Work includes weeding and maintenance of our willow plantation and domestic gardening and property maintenance. Our preference is usually short stays with the option of extending. In return we offer comfortable caravan accommodation, a hot shower and good food. As we are both away from the property sometimes we like our helpers to be capable of working unsupervised.
It is easier if our helpers have a vehicle or are willing to hitch hike as there is no public transport.
Our usual arrangement is 4 hours work for food and accommodation. We provide food for breakfast and lunch so you c... more inside

We are a superfly family of four living in Paradise, Golden Bay, New Zealand. We are close to Takaka town centre and central to all the beauty that the bay holds, hiking in the Abel Tas, farewell spit, pupu springs, etc etc. Golden Bay has an adventure for every day of the year! Our land, despite being close to town feels very rural and private, we have a large organic garden, fruit trees and chickens.

We have a 5 year old and a 1.5 year old. Both boys. Paul is kiwi and into kitesurfing and mountain biking and Emma is from London, a local yoga teacher. We are busy running the home and our businesses and need support with our land.

We have a beautiful house bus for a single traveler or a couple. The housebus has a fire and kitchen and you have your own toilet nearby.

We are especially hopeful for a couple with mixes of the following skills:

Childcare
Gardening
Sanding
Painting
Building
Natural building
Graphic design

A beautiful large lush bush property nestled in the foothills of Kahurangi National Park, next to the Wangaroa walking track, located 15 minutes out of Takaka town. Have a permaculture no dig round keyhole garden. Need help depending on skills with projects, starting in September with Gardening: mainly planting, bush craft, landscaping, growing sprouts and microgreens, building an earth cabin, planting trees etc

I live close to nature off the grid, living a simple alternative lifestyle..growing food, doing yoga, meditating.

If you would like to stay in a peaceful place, and experience life in the bush and if you enjoy helping out and creating then please contact me.

Cheers
Djura

Enthusiasm abounds in sunny Takaka, where the microclimate is friendly to the growing garden!
We find a deepening sense of community and mutually beneficial support in beloved Golden Bay. Most of our helpers find this a special place and enjoy a longer time here with our practical life-styling and ever-evolving model for harmonious shared living for a beneficial future.

We are a household of friendly adults with a sprinkling of creative young children sometimes visiting.
We favour the enthusiastically competent and people who take the initiative with our collaborative projects.
We have an evolving rostered household with shared participation in our kitchen culture.
We are committed to healthy living.

Golden Bay Hideaway is a small and unique accommodation business, with the most energy efficient house in NZ! It is about 2 hours drive from Nelson.

Our property is in a beautiful location nestled in native bush in Wainui Bay, next to the sea at the northern end of the Abel Tasman National Park with great views. There are lots of beautiful walks to do and beaches to explore in your spare time.

You can check out our website at www.goldenbayhideaway.co.nz

Caravan/cabin accommodation is provided on site with awesome fireplace for approx 2 hours help per day. You will be helping with managing camper bookings, cleaning, chopping firewood etc. Will need to be quite fit and physically able. Food is NOT provided, but you will have use of kitchen facilities including spit-roast campfire/bbq.

Ideally you would stay a minimum of 2-3 weeks.

You will have to like the outdoor life as we live very close to nature. This is seeing NZ at it's best - you might not want to leave!

We are a young gay couple on 12 hectares (30 acres) in Puramahoi, Golden Bay, 9kms from Takaka and The Mussel Inn and 2kms to Patons Rock Beach. Many wonderful walks in the area (Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks). We are running a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) supporting local families, cafes and restaurants. Work includes weeding, planting and harvesting of vegetables. Small-scale building projects too. Looking for wwoofers who are keen to learn about CSAs and organic farming. Open to all & accommodate many dietary needs.

We are on a high plateau across the valley from the Takaka Hill. We are surrounded by native bush and are fairly secluded. We are about a half hour from town.

We have developed the property to be self reliant, looking at an uncertain planetary future. Our water comes directly from the bush as the property backs up to the Kahurangi National park. We are on our own Micro Hydro, which gives us our electricity.
We have a large library, and plenty of peace and quiet.f

Work depends on the time of year, there are always many projects, roadworks , construction, animal care , gardening, tree care , bottling and drying food and all things pertaining to self sufficiency.

We have a converted 100 year old woolshed into a cafe come craft shop. There are farm animals visitors can interact with (deer, donkey, llama, goats etc) and we run 100 gotland sheep on the land.

We are right at the beginning of the road into Able Tasman National park where Harwoods Hole is (the largest hole in the southern hemisphere). The Rameka mountain bike track is based here. A wonderful marble landscape in which The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit have been filmed. A very popular spot for tourists.

We are looking for 1-2 people who are happy to be based at a felting table, showing and assisting visitors in making small felted items from gotland wool. This would range from felt soap, felt ball or flat felt piece. Maybe some help in the cafe as well.

The season is from October - March, or any time within that period. The conditions would be to work 4 afternoons a week (12 -4 pm). We offer a cottage to yourself to stay in and lunch provided on the days worked. Own transport ... more inside

Welcome!
It's Spring & we would love your help with property maintenance, building projects, odd jobs and general family fun..

We are looking for 1 or 2 enthusiastic, capable helpers to help with property & house maintenance. Also hanging out with our lovely 6 year old twins - our son is homeschooled. We are looking for mature helpers (mid-20's & up). We like to hear from you if you are in the South island or on your way to Golden Bay, rather not if you are still not in NZ or making plans months in advance.. we're more spontaneous types..

We have a beautiful house with a view overlooking the ocean, a few kilometeres outside Takaka (near Pohara). It is easy to go to Abel Tasman from here.

We have a huge backyard (bushland), with mountain views, and lots of bird life. We have a dog, chickens, and 2 wonderful kids (Rainbow & Alexandria, 6 years old).

You can make homemade food here, we make bread, saurkraut, pancakes, kefir, biscuits, kombucha etc. We love fresh local &... more inside
