This is a stud beef cattle property situated near picturesque Winton in Central Southland. The area is renowned for its farming and Torrisdale (the farm) is surrounded by dairy and mixed farming properties. The property is within short travel distances of some of the most talked about 'tourist' locations including Queenstown which is only a 100 minute drive away.
Like on all farms there are things to do. Preparing for/and maintenance of shelter tree plantings, small building and maintenance projects and some gardening are just some of the outdoors jobs that helpers could be involved with plus for those who have some experience, mingling with the cattle is occasionally on the list.
Food and accommodation (own room, shared bathroom) provided. Capped Internet access available. Helpers who are proficient in cooking (for themselves mostly) and putting their hand to the occasional bit of housework would fit well in the routine that is usually in vogue here. If you don't have transpor... more inside

This property is 10 acres with a large character homestead (circa 1929), which was once part of the historic Lynwood Station. The home has many period features, including wood panel wardrobes, bay windows and a number of fire places and two wood burners. Outside there is one large paddock deer fenced, with a well established garden with recently planted natives, orchard, mature specimen trees, a tunnel house, chook house, pig sty and "potentially" a large vegetable garden.

The property is just 9 Km from Te Anau itself(the largest lake in the South Island and second largest in New Zealand) which is the gateway to Fiordland and the majestic Lake Manapouri. The Keplar Track is nearby with other tramps a little further away like the start of the Routeburn and Caples Greenstone tracks at the Divide. The Mavora Lakes are also not that far away, a popular camping spot in the summer. Of course we are on the main High way to Milford.

We are a busy farming family of four (6 and 5 year-old children) looking for some help around home and on the farm. At this moment we are seeking someone who loves vegetable gardening as it is the time of year to get new season veg in.
We are located 5km from Gore, 2 hours from Queenstown, Dunedin and the coast. We have a Dairy farm and lots of pets (horses, dogs, cat and chickens).
We are looking for a keen energetic individual who is willing to give anything a go. We offer a wide range of jobs you can assist with. In return for good accommodation and food. We offer a room with its own bathroom and meals mostly with the family.
Jobs involve daily housekeeping chores, painting, gardening and lawns, looking after pets, childcare, maintenance jobs on farm (dependent on experience and capability). Own vehicle is a preference as limited access to public transport.

Please contact via email.

**No vacancy until mid November!**
Rural property 10 mins drive out of Te Anau with mountain views. Work would mostly involve gardening/planting, , cleaning, section maintenance etc as well as cleaning inside and cooking. I may also get you to do similar work for friends and family. I have a cat. As I am out of town you will need a vehicle (please don't enquire unless you have a vehicle, there is no public transport and I can't drive you around). Initial trial period for 3 nights to make sure it's working out then stay 1-2 weeks, and you're welcome to come and go for some trips during that time. 4 hours work/day for a bed and food. Your bedroom is bright and sunny with mountain and lake views!
Happy to help with your trip planning. Te Anau is the gateway to Fiordland National Park and Great Walks, an ideal place to stay. I look forward to meeting you!

Require a helper or 2 now until mid December.

We are looking for a MOTIVATED person or a couple to help us out. You need to be motivated, responsible, and who likes to cook would be super handy.
We rise early in the mornings for work, so we need someone the kind of the same.
Some occasions we need someone to help with the kids before school and after school from 3.30pm.

But mainly outdoor maintenance and gardening.

We run accommodation in 2 self contained cottages.
We need help with the cleaning of these to a high standard (summer months). Somtimes minding our 2 kids 11 year old son and 8 year old daughter who are both very independent and outgoing, a bit of house work would really help us, but we are a tidy family so it isn't a huge job. Also general outside duties. Animal care as well.
Cooking, maintenance skills, building, cleaning, are all things we need help with.
Gareth as a commercial fishermen and Sacha part time factory worker and guide in the Fiordland ar... more inside
