Hello travellers and welcome to New Zealand. My name is Kymia, I have a warm friendly creative 2bedroom home with a cute homely caravan accomadation in my Garden in Christchurch.
I love sunrises, the beauty of nature, creativity and am a friendly open minded philisophical person.
My home is easy access to all locations, 5 minutes from the local shopping centre in Woolston and The Tannery Arcade. It is approximately 10 minutes drive to the City centre and to the beach in the opposite direction. Please be aware, I do not have wifi in my home however the nearest library is approximately 6-8 minutes drive in the Linwood Eastgate Mall.

I offer a nights accomodation with a main meal in exchange for 4 hours help around my home. The person or persons will need to be physically fit, have initiative, and motivated, as my needs differ at times from painting, gardening, pruning trees or hedges, basic carpentry or odd jobs yet defined.
If anyone is wishing to accept this exchange I'd be... more inside

*currently full for February*

Hi there,

We are a family of 4 living in our home nestled in the quaint valley of Heathcote in Christchurch. Our two boys, Ethan & Baxter are age 5 & 7. We also have a dog, Stella. Our home is new with 5 bedrooms, modern kitchen & great views. We live right on a bus stop that takes you in to town. We live 15min walk to the Christchurch Gondola & the beautiful, historic Bridal Path walk, as well as in the middle of lots of other amazing walking & Mountain Biking tracks on the Port Hills, and the beaches of Sumner & Taylors Mistake (great surfing & SUP). There are lots of great markets on near us in the weekends. Jeremy & I both come from Christchurch so can advise on you where you might like to travel to next! I have also lived overseas (Japan & London) so I know what it feels like to live far from family. I also work with international students. Our family loves cooking, eating, being at home & working in the garden, going on walks & getting into ... more inside

If you love dogs and the beach this is the place for you.

I have just got out of hospital after my appendix burst and need help getting the garden in order as I am continually looking at it overgrown.

I have a beautiful log home by the beach 15 mins from Christchurch, with a quirky bach down the garden I rent on Airbnb.

We are looking for a person or persons for general duties and house prep for new guests.

I am generally busy and do not get time to maintain the garden and a few DIY jobs I need assistance with. I am converting two shipping containers into alternative accommodation too.

We have two dogs that love attention and need walks on the beach. We have lovely Mika who is a 6 year old Husky and Dexter the wee black Pug of three years.

We have sea kayaks and bikes for you to head out on and can find you additional work if required.

Enthusiastically

Neil

Comfortable, good-humoured household, in a quiet street with spacious gardens - short drive from Christchurch airport. Easy walking distance to Upper Riccarton shopping centre.

Tasks: Housework, food preparation & simple garden maintenance, or some easy office administration. Only basic conversational English needed.

The exchange: 3.5 hours of work each day in exchange for your accommodation and vegetarian meals. Work is undertaken from 9:00 in the morning.

If you're not familiar with how interesting vegetarian cooking can be, our meals have a mix of East and West food ideas and will introduce you to many tasty options.

The accommodation is for an individual traveler, so, sorry this helpx is not for a group or couple.

Happy to consider help.....prefer mid February now. Some paving skills would be great. Would also be wonderful if someone could rebuild my small lean-to storage shed as it's falling apart. Always need help in the garden and olive and hazel nut grove!!! Please note our heated plunge pool is now in use and is great to relax in after some work. Couples or two singles with transport is preferred as we are off the main public transport route approximately one hours south of the centre of Christchurch and ideal for folk heading either north or south.

Our current work programme is always being expanded so always plenty to do here particularly in the garden. If you consider you have some special talent to offer please contact us. Helpers with carpentry skills or handyman/woman skills are particularly welcome.

We are meat eaters so catering for non meat eaters can be a little difficult, but do-able with your help.

We are a friendly couple in our mature years, very energeti... more inside
