We are a mature couple working from home and are looking to find a young and enthusiastic young person or couple, who can help with general garden maintenance, eg weeding, spraying blackberries and wood splitting etc.
In return, we are offering a private room and own bathroom in our lovely home and meals.( Free wi fi is also available.)
We are in a quiet and secluded bush setting, but only 3km from the main highway and station.
It would be an advantage to have an international driver`s licence and a MUST to be a dog lover! (We have 2 !)
This would be an excellent opportunity for a traveller requiring 2 weeks of accommodation, possibly longer.
We are DEFINITELY a NON SMOKING household, and would prefer not to cater for vegetarians only.
This position is available immediately, so please contact us if you feel it suits you.

Hello and welcome to beautiful Olinda.

***Currently seeking a Helper who can use a chainsaw and help prune and trim ornamental, deciduous and fruit trees from ground level. Or a carpenter to help repair weather damaged external timber windows.

NOTE: YES I am happy to host experienced garden helpers and carpenters/tradies during this lock down period in Victoria providing you have no Coronavirus symptoms.

There is no free wifi - you will need to use your own data allowance from your SIM card and reception is very good.

I appreciate self-starters and Helpers with initiative, who do not always need to be told what to do and are capable of putting in a full days work. Weeding and garden work is always a go-to if you are waiting instructions. Helpers will sometimes be left to work by themselves as I donít always have time to supervise them. Therefore, Helpers who can help with limited instructions, work unsupervised and independently are essential.

I have accommodation a... more inside

We are looking for a Helpx person or couple to help us on our small horse stud in northern
Victoria. Applicants should be from an area in regional Victoria that is free of COVID-19, or if from Melbourne, or have visited Melbourne in the past two weeks, we require a current COVID-19 test showing they are free from infection. We provide an opportunity for backpackers who have an interest in horses to spend some time on a horse stud where horses are ridden and trained for dressage and jumping. Those that have established riding ability have an opportunity to ride and undertake instruction in riding, it provides a great opportunity to improve riding skills for those that are suitable. We have other horse related activities for those who cannot ride proficiently.

We have been training and breeding competition horses for over forty years and information about us is available on the web. For those that wish to review that information, Google search for our property name which is N... more inside

Full accommodation provided for assistance with gardening and minor house maintenance. Castlemaine is a historical former gold mining area in central Victoria with several day trips in the surrounding area for visitors who are looking for "out-of-city" adventure. I am prepared to offer driving day tours of the region for visitors who do not have a vehicle. Visiting central Victoria offers visitors an opportunity to see more of the state and ideal as a central base from which to do further tours. There are more kangaroos here than other areas so l will take you for local tour so you can see many in the wild.

My property is in a Bushfire Declared Zone so any voluntary work goes towards Second or Third Year Visa. Fortunately this particular district was not burned. It is actually an Oasis as the fires were very bad to the East and North. Far East Gippsland is Covid19 free. I cannot accept anyone be from Melbourne under the current circumstances.

Must love animals, hopefully enough not to eat them because I am a long term vegetarian.

I share my property with 4 horses, a miniature horse and 1 Australian working dog. This is a beautiful part of the world, close to the Mighty Snowy River and the estuary, lakes, deserted beaches and stunning mountain ranges. Australia's best kept secret in my opinion.

I'm a well travelled and open minded woman and I've been a vegetarian for 40 years. I'm originally from Melbourne and moved here over 30 years ago. I am an adopted member of the Warlpiri tribe of the Central Desert and know a lot about Aboriginal spirituality, culture and Law and I'm ... more inside

Hi!

We live in a quiet and sweet little village in Central Victoria, approx 1.5hr from Melbourne.

We have a 2 acre property, a recycled house, a small person, a small dog, a messy garden and many unfinished projects! Our next project is to build a chicken house.

We have completed building a passive solar earth house on the same block (for Grandma). We like travels, natural building, permaculture, podcasts, slack lining, creative pursuits, music and food.

We are looking for happy, independent, physically fit helpers. We've hosted many happy travellers, though not yet through helpx. Above all we are looking for the right person/people for a great exchange, so please write and share some details about yourself. We can host one person, or one couple (there is only one bed)

Happy travels.

I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the trade and offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay, great food prepared either by my daughter in law or myself, I am handy to Melbourne rail services, I.2 K from the train station with a bus stop to the station 200 meters form the house and a 35 min trip by train to Melbourne Victoria.
There is a vehicle to drive locally if appropriately licensed.
I go to the outback in New South Wales via Broken Hill about 3 times a year for an approximate 8 day trip for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land"and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our unique indigenous wildlife.

Many helpers/wwoofers have enjoyed this over the last 25 years but on each occasion the choice is with helper whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house"However due COV19 these trips are currently severely curtailed
Duties are tending the garden, general housekeeping, perhaps some cooking, ... more inside
