We are a mature couple working from home and are looking to find a young and enthusiastic young person or couple, who can help with general garden maintenance, eg weeding, spraying blackberries and wood splitting etc.
In return, we are offering a private room and own bathroom in our lovely home and meals.( Free wi fi is also available.)
We are in a quiet and secluded bush setting, but only 3km from the main highway and station.
It would be an advantage to have an international driver`s licence and a MUST to be a dog lover! (We have 2 !)
This would be an excellent opportunity for a traveller requiring 2 weeks of accommodation, possibly longer.
We are DEFINITELY a NON SMOKING household, and would prefer not to cater for vegetarians only.
This position is available immediately, so please contact us if you feel it suits you.

We are located just 1 hour (35km) north of Melbourne's CBD in a picturesque and peaceful community called Arthurs Creek. Our property is a 140 acre "bush block" that is surrounded by natural bushland (Kinglake National Park and Yan Yean Reservoir). We have rolling hills with gullies and creeks to explore on foot or on our purpose built mountain bike track. Along the way you will see and hear kangaroos, lyre birds, wombats and maybe even the odd koala. You will also have access to a pool and tennis court should the weather be on your side. We are both in our mid 40's and have two young boys; we all love to have fun outside and so come and join us.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals or couples to help with general gardening and maintenance around and in the house. Jobs might include: weeding, pruning, household cleaning, window cleaning, firewood collection, fencing, painting etc (please do let us know if you have any trades or handy experience as we hav... more inside

Hello travelers, welcome to Australia.

I am a friendly, relaxed, woman in my 50ís, with no children, no pets at the moment. Occasionally I have some neighbours cows on the property amd sometimes we are visited by the local kangaroos, koalas or echidnas. Non-smoker, I maintain a smoke free home, but have an undercover BBQ area where friends can go to smoke if necessary. My late husband and I traveled extensively around Australia and overseas, loved meeting new people, experiencing different cultures and sharing this fantastic country with others.

*** Ideally I am looking for couples or two friends traveling together.***

*** I was absent from Helpx for a while during my husband John`s illness but am open to enquiries from helpers again now. ***

Our 12 hectare property is in Yendon, near Ballarat and comprises of 2 hectares of gum trees, 8 hectares of paddocks and 2 hectares around the house including the house garden, orchard and vegetable garden. We are surrounded by a m... more inside

Hi and welcome to the beautiful Daylesford region! We are Jill and Phil. We have relocated to the picturesque town of Ballan from South Australia where we were active hosts for many years.
The property has enormous garden areas that constantly need clearing and tidying and we always have new projects in mind. I (Jill) cook for local cafes and do larger catering jobs and always need a hand in the kitchen.

We grow veggies and have many pets - 3 goats, 1 alpaca, 3 sheep 8 chickens, 2 Muscovy ducks, 2 guinea fowl and a cat (Misty)who rules the house. A new Puppy will be due soon as we recently lost our mate Buddy after 18 years of love and tail wags.

There will always be plenty to do - even just a lazy house sit from time to time as we do go back to Adelaide a lot. Ballan is well situated with transport in Western Victoria and there is a train directly to/from Melbourne which takes under an hour. Close by In either direction (within 25 minutes) you have the vibrant and histori... more inside
