Hi, this is a unique opportunity to live in a museum! I am the curator and caretaker of an historic homestead built between 1862-1880, located within extensive gardens. Part of the house now functions as a museum. The property is in a rural setting at Greenough - just off the Brand Hwy- 19 kms south of Geraldton and 400km north of Perth.
This place can seem isolated if you do not have a car. However, I do have a bicycle available, and I take helpers into Geraldton at Least once a week, and to community events, as well as showing you local attractions.
I have planted fruit trees and established an organic vegetable garden. Helpers must like animals as I have ducks, guinea pigs and 2 dogs. The property is close to isolated stretches of beach, bushland and other tourist attractions.
Work includes gardening, cooking, cleaning, art projects, translating, helping keep the museum open, minor property maintenance, etc.
Only have accommodation for one person at a time and prefer no... more inside

Hello, I have a hobby farm five minutes from the sea side twin towns of Dongara and Port Denison, which is 350klm north of Perth and 60 km south of Geraldton. Dongara is a quiet fishing/farming town and one of the best kept secrets on the west coast. On the farm I have a dog, chickens, ducks, horses, sheep, pigs, goats and a few cows.

I`m looking for people to help out around the farm with experience in house sitting, permaculture, gardening cooking and cleaning. In exchange I`ll provide meals and accommodation.

When not working there are many lovely spots in the local area to pass the time. With 180 acres of land there is plenty of space for quiet walks or a bicycle ride to town with the beach and the river close by,surfing, snorkelling, kayaking, kite surfing, swimming or fishing is possible.

The farmhouse is spacious with a cool covered veranda area with bbq, hammocks and comfortable chairs to relax in for the evenings.

** UPDATE: are you interested in learning how to create a sustainable 'new normal' for your life? We have an opportunity for a female helper experienced in childcare for 8 weeks from 17 June to 11 August. You would be playing with our fun 3 year old daily from 8am-12pm. Couples considered if the other person can do gardening/maintenance/construction. In return we can offer accommodation, good food AND a free place on my 7 session award-winning sustainability course that covers all sorts of topics on how to live a healthier, more environmentally connected lifestyle! If you have your own car & this appeals to you, please get in touch. Apologies we don't have vacancies for any other helper roles right now, so please only contact us if you're interested in this 8 week commitment. Thank you! **

G'day & welcome to our small Regenerative farm, an easy 15 minute drive from Margaret River town.

We are a small working new farm with many projects on the go! We are situated in the beautiful Ferguson Valley 2 hours south of Perth WA. We grow many vegetables, have a newly planted olive grove and are currently setting up chickens. We have a big project coming up setting up our guest accomodation and landscaping. We’d love to host a person/people who have an interest or experience in landscaping, permaculture, animal husbandry. Ideally they would be self motivated, friendly and have a willingness to learn and fit in with our family. Accomodation is basic but you’ll have all you need. The Ferguson Valley is a beautiful area of WA and there is much to see and do in your spare time. As the border to WA remains closed due to COVID19 applicants would need to already be located in Western Australia.

We live in a beautiful part of the world between the beach and Margaret River town. We live on a farm with multi- generational families, we work towards a lot of self sufficiency and we work off the farm also. Our interests include music and wellbeing. The Margaret River community is vibrant and has many activities on offer. Our family welcomes cross-cultural experience.
We like our Helpxers to be happy; we offer clean, comfortable, private caravan accommodation. Tasks are dependent on helpxer skills, farm, family and home requirements (such as whipper snipping, gardening, wood splitting, domestic tasks, artistic skills and painting). Having a car is necessary as there is no public transport. We ask for 1 hour work a day, which means that helpxers can get work off the farm, if you like.
Kind regards :) Sabine, Tony and Family

Are you friendly, fun and looking for a farm on which to help in October 2020?

We currently have some fantastic helpers.

Would you like to help us on the farm and/or with our small children? Would you like to experience farm life, learn new skills and spend time with an Australian family?

Our farm is a broadacre cropping and sheep property 140km West of Esperance in Western Australia. We are looking for assistance with looking after the sheep and planting our crops (wheat, barley and canola). We also have horses, alpacas and chickens.

The activities in which helpers will have the opportunities to be involved include: care of sheep, machinery maintenance, gardening, house keeping and cooking.

During your leisure time, you may wish to go bush walking or swimming in our river.

The coastal town of Esperance is only 1.5hours away so if you have a car then you may wish to spend some time there. Otherwise, it is accessible by bus (Transwa) and our helpers often go to... more inside
