We live in a modest three bedroom house (with airconditioning!) in the suburbs of outer Darwin. We have an adorable daughter, a silly spaniel, a lovely big garden, off street parking, a swimming pool and a warm welcome to offer! We also love to cook and eat nice food and to share our family time with new friends from around the world.
We are especially looking for a cabinet maker or carpenter to install some shelving and/or an experienced tiler.

Accommodation is own room in the family home, separate from staff quarters. Prefer someone who is used to animals but not essential. Prefer someone with own car but not essential, I can pick you up from Adelaide River, Batchelor or Darwin. I live in sleepy Batchelor NT Australia which is in the middle of nowhere but close to Litchfield National Park and 100k from Darwin.

I am an artist and my home is a large, historic, elevated, tropical dwelling with a great garden and balcony.

I am slowly restoring and repairing this old house and i could do with a helping hand.

The work is easy and consists mostly of painting, gardening and cleaning.

If this offer interests you please feel free to contact me.

To ensure you are able to visit Litchfield National Park and all it has to offer,it would be necessary to have your own transport.

Happy and safe travelling.

Cheers Gillian

We live in Jingili, a suburb by the beach and the beautiful water gardens and have a separate studio downstairs which is available for stays of one or two weeks.

Our house, garden and pool are beautiful but need a bit of time and attention, although the plus side is that you get to enjoy them too! We are looking for a bit of help to spring clean the house and do some painting, 4 hours per day should be enough and it can be mixed up with garden work - if we start early we can be done by the hottest part of the day when you can rest or explore Darwin. In return for your help we'll give you 3 meals a day and you have the run of the studio downstairs (we live upstairs) with couches, a TV, a double bed and your own outdoor dining area.

We have 2 little children (2 and 4 years old) so expect a bit of noise and excitement as well as some trampolining! There is a bus stop 2 minutes walk from the house, or you can easily walk up to the beach or to a couple of different coffee shops o... more inside

Looking for someone to start ASAP.
The dry season is just about still here and itís a beautiful time to enjoy the territory! We are Looking for one or two female helpers who can help us with the daily running of our household to stay with us and work 4 hours in exchange of accommodation and food. Female as my husband is away a lot and we are more comfortable with having a female stranger in the home than a male stranger!
I work full time and would love it if I didnít have to come home after a long day and have to cook, clean and do the washing!
You will have your own room with double bed and shared ensuite.
We also have a pool in the back yard to cool down in.
I work full time so unfortunately do not have time to take you sight seeing as much as I would like to. Although you are of course very welcome to explore in your own time and we are happy for you to come along on our activities which are usually kids birthday parties, water parks and rugby training!

We are a family of five living a self reliant lifestyle, on a small isolated block. We produce most of our own food, including goat's yoghurt & cheese, wild or raised meats, eggs, fruit and vegies. We have no income from our property as we are aiming to become more self-sufficient, so guests must be self motivated and hard working, and be able to contribute skills. We do not allow the use of chemicals (shampoo, sunscreen deodorants etc...) as our greywater goes directly onto the food gardens. We supply our own home made organic soaps and creams. Our aim is to create a co-operative living space, so opportunities arise for short and long term or permanent stay. As we have three young children it is important to respect our space for homeschooling and parenting methods.

Hello and welcome to beautiful Darwin. We are offering accommodation (one bedroom) in exchange for home help. We live in a lovely elevated home in a great suburb, and would like to share the experience with the right people in exchange for help in the house, garden, pool and some ongoing renovations. We are a happy and energetic family of four (our kids are 19 and 14) and while we all have very busy schedules, we also like to help our guests experience all the best that Darwin has to offer. We have welcomed travellers a number of times before, and it has been great for everyone. We expect three hours of work per day per person. This does not include meals, although you will have full use of our open plan kitchen and your own fridge. Our home is in a great spot, walking distance to beach, markets, cafes, supermarket, library and public transport. We have a large tropical garden and pool, and you will also have access to bicycles. The bedroom is fresh and clean, furnished and air con... more inside
