We run a small yurt camp site, with 4 Yurts and a Shepherd`s Hut. We really enjoyed welcoming 2 HelpX people earlier this year and are now looking for a helper, or a couple, who can help us get ready to take down the yurts at the end of the season in mid-October. This involves cleaning the canvas, some repainting and minor repairs to furniture, packing away the yurts and all the equipment and some repainting of the inside of our barn. We're also looking for help in the meadow, around the garden and maintaining the farm buildings. We can help if you want to learn more about basic carpentry skills, gardening, landscaping or furniture painting.
We're a "Green" environmentally award winning site, running for 8 years and we also have a "green" approach to our house, with solar pv and solar panels for hot water, as well as a wood pellet boiler. Whilst not registered organic, we have an organic sensibility and don`t use any chemicals on the land
We (Kim and Nick) live in Suffolk, ... more inside

Hello,

**Looking for someone to join us as soon as possible and stay until mid / late December (or longer)***

We are a family of five in west London who need help looking after our home and our three energetic children (Ferdie 7, Gus 6, Clemmie 3). All three are now at school so the main job is helping in the morning as the eldest goes to a different school, and picking up in the afternoon (315pm), plus some light housework (I have a cleaner). We would offer to pay pocket money for 25hrs of your time a week (monday to friday but i might ask for less hours in the week for some help on a saturday or sunday but this would be discussed withy you before hand), plus 1-2 nights babysitting max.

We spend lots of time in local parks, playing football, at the library. Taffeta works from home and Freddy is a journalist.

We live in a fantastic location for exploring London and the rest of the UK. You would have your own room with an ensuite bathroom. We live in a terraced house with... more inside

We have recently purchased the iconic Golden Hind museum and are looking for volunteers to join us in the beautiful fishing town of Brixham, Devon.

The Golden Hind at Brixham is a full sized replica of one of the most iconic ships from the age of exploration. The Ship has been a feature of picturesque Brixham harbour for over fifty years, entertaining and educating thousands of visitors during this time - as well as being featured on many tv programmes and films. The Ship is open from spring to autumn come rain or shine and is an all-weather attraction with indoor displays as well as wide open decks.

A striking landmark in Brixham, every visitor on board contributes to the restoration and maintenance of the Ship, ensuring that 'Brixham's Treasure' will continue to enhance Brixham's beautiful Quayside for future generations...

Hey, my names Ibtisam (means: Smile in Arabic) and I recently moved into a flat near Ladbroke Grove Ė West London. Itís a small one bedroom with two balconies.
I really need help in transforming the flat and make it feel homely. Thereís plenty I need help with but realistically the tasks that I would imagine you doing will be painting doors, building cupboards and benches and putting up shelfs. I have some plans on what I want but could do with a more creative mind to help or even to spur mine. I may ask you to even water my plant occasionally.
Main skillset I need is carpentry, painter and decorator even at basic knowledge of knowing how to change door handles would be great!
Iím flexible with the length of stay but preferably two weeks, I would want the helper to have enough time to explore London and if this means staying over the 2 week period I would be open to negotiating
I would expect five hours a day over five days but I recognise this is subject to change but itís ... more inside

We are looking for someone immediately for the next 3 or 4 weeks and to fill our diary for 2019. We are close to town and sea with Dartmoor nearby.

Whilst we do prefer longer stays we will take people for as little as 3 weeks. But not less than 3 weeks, we find that the early days can be difficult for everyone and it takes a while to get to know each other. It also takes time for helpers to learn the routines.

Philosophy:
We have a small holding in Devon where we aim to grow as much of our own food as we can in an organic and sustainable way. So we have a small orchard a Kitchen Garden for vegetable growing, a fruit garden for soft fruit plus half an acre of flower gardens. We also have poultry (Chickens, various ducks, and geese) and there are bees which belong to a friend. The poultry are not for eating, but do provide us with a plentiful supply of eggs for most of the year.
Although not self sufficient in fruit and vegetables we do try to grow what we can, so there is usu... more inside
