We have recently purchased the iconic Golden Hind museum and are looking for volunteers to join us in the beautiful fishing town of Brixham, Devon.

The Golden Hind at Brixham is a full sized replica of one of the most iconic ships from the age of exploration. The Ship has been a feature of picturesque Brixham harbour for over fifty years, entertaining and educating thousands of visitors during this time - as well as being featured on many tv programmes and films. The Ship is open from spring to autumn come rain or shine and is an all-weather attraction with indoor displays as well as wide open decks.

A striking landmark in Brixham, every visitor on board contributes to the restoration and maintenance of the Ship, ensuring that 'Brixham's Treasure' will continue to enhance Brixham's beautiful Quayside for future generations...

Set in the beautiful countryside just on the Welsh border. Close to areas of special scientific interest, meres, mosses and canals. Also commutable to the Welsh coast for days off if required.
We farm in a mostly organic way, sheep, poultry, rescued horses.also rescued dogs. We would like help from people with abilities in construction, fencing or logging or those who wish to care for the animals. Please note that we do expect a fair exchange of hours for board. we are not able to run a hotel service for unwilling helpers as this is a charitable organisation and food and facilities are not free. Our gardens and hedgerows are left for the benefit of the many rare birds and insects. We have a large sett of badgers who can be seen by camping nearby.

Hello! We live in a beautiful 400 year old ex-farmhouse in the heart of the idyllic Somerset countryside. We are looking for a couple to help with a variety of jobs from January 2020. We can only accommodate people short term, so please do not apply if you are looking for a long-term placement.
For example, our gorgeous garden needs putting to bed for the winter, there are painting / decorating and general maintenance jobs available and the dogs always enjoy a long walk! We would expect to discuss and agree with the helper prior to their starting what their likes and dislikes are so they can do the jobs that appeal more to them.
We keep Chickens and Runner Ducks, and also have two dogs and a cat, so help with the animals might also be needed!
There are walks to be had from the house and plenty of gorgeous villages to visit, many with cosy country pubs!
We live on the edge of a small village with a pub, but only 5 mins drive from the nearest town which has shops. We are a... more inside

A unique and quirky garden which has been open in the national Garden Scheme for over 35 years. Mill Barn is a series of delights. Along the R Darwin, in Lancashire, through the tiny secret grotto, past the suspension bridge and view of the fairy-tale tower, visitors can a stroll past folly, sculptures, lily pond, and lawns, enjoy the naturally planted flowerbeds, then enter the secret garden and through it the pathways of the wooded hillside beyond.

Your hostess is, a retired social worker, whose husband, a retired lecturer, is the gardener and a member of the National Garden Scheme. The garden is open on two weekends in June 13,14,20,21 when 300 to 400 people visit. 6 volunteers attend on each day to support the four openings.

I would appreciate the help of an assistant event organiser for two weeks from June 9 to June 23nd 2020. This is an annual event. I have accepted an application for this year 2020.

The role involves, before the events getting to know how the... more inside
