Help wanted! 2020 and beyond!

We have meadows, pasture, woodland, lakes and stunning views of both sea and mountain. We grow veg, meat and eggs and milk.

We want to live in the more beautiful world that our hearts know can exist. We are just starting out and this is on a small and sustainable human scale that we hope will provide food and fuel for visitors to the farm and the local community. We are using holistic management, permaculture and traditional methods.

As well as being productive, we want this to be a place where people can come and slow down for a while, to think about what matters in the world and what the world needs us to give back.

We have been here for seven years, but itís a long journey, so much of this is aspirational, but we will get there (especially with your help).

We have a young family and so some of the time you would be left to your own devices for cooking and eating dinner etc so you would have to be happy to spend some time by yourself... more inside

Hi, We have a Smallholding with young woodland, now being developed, some organic grazing is managed by an Organic farmer who rents the fields. Judith grows plants for other people's gardens where she works, as well as for our own, ornamental and edible. The smallholding is on the edge of a village. The land is mostly sloping. We have a few protected cropping areas and beds for outdoor veg. Some fruit trees and a little cabin for letting as holiday rent, the website given is mainly about this, but includes photos of the general area. Accommodation for helpXer would be in the house, where we have a spare room. We are looking for help with general maintenance on the smallholding from time to time. If your skillset includes gardening, landscaping, woodland management or you are wanting to gain experience in these, please consider joining us. If not, we may have other tasks you'd enjoy, so let us know what you can offer.
The area is near the Cambrian Mountains, with Snowdonia National... more inside

Coastal smallholding 1 mile from the sea, with beautiful views and easy access to West Wales coastal routes. Now in its 10th year of development, featuring market garden, pasture and woodland.

We work with our livestock to manage and improve the land, as well as providing food for table.
A small market garden is being re-established and sadly our polytunnel fell victim to the high winds so will be replaced eventually...with a solar passive version. We have a neglected eating/cider orchard which is in process of being brought back into full production.
Home is a bungalow that requires modernisation and we have an ongoing straw bale timber roundhouse project- which is habitable with a small coal/wood stove, it does have power and cooking facilities but only cold water. Composting toilet outside. Showering facilities etc via main house. We have a winterised bell tent in addition to main house/roundhouse.

We share our lives and home with a young nutty dobermann, after losing ... more inside

We always appreciate a helping hand in our small family-run horse riding holiday business, which we run from a traditional Welsh farm nestled in a secret valley in the beautiful Brecon Beacons. We have approximately 60 Welsh cobs, most of which are bred here on the farm, and we host guests here in our B&B, so there's plenty to keep us busy. We are looking for people to help with mostly outdoor tasks as well as looking after the horses of course - gardening, digging out new paths, fencing, filling in pot holes, painting fences etc. Horse work includes mucking out, exercising horses, helping move them to winter homes. But we also expect you to lend a hand inside where needed, washing up after dinner for example, or maybe even taking a turn at cooking!

It's hard work but in return we offer your own small but cosy double room with free wifi, home-cooked meals each evening, a friendly and fun atmosphere, the chance to meet people from all over the world, and plenty of fantastic riding... more inside

We are a small holding, on Anglesey, North Wales, with poultry, Pygmy goats, sheep, ponies and alpacas.

We can offer accommodation and food, for help around the holding. We are flexible on the daily working hours and days.

We need some help to tidy up, set up a walking path and other general jobs, especially after the recent storms.

The accommodation is either a small cottage, or a modern double glazed, centrally heated static caravan. The holding is centrally based on the island and 20 minutes from the nearest beaches, five minutes from the nearest town with supermarkets.

Thanks for looking.
