AT THE MOMENT I HAVE HELP SORTED OUT

Hi I am Rosie I have been using helpx for the last 4 years and I have loved getting to know the different people I have hosted. I try to make helpx visitors stay an enjoyable experience and provide them with good hospitality, food and accommodation, with a good base to explore the surroundings.
I live in a stunningly beautiful part of Pembrokeshire, overlooking the sea, between St. David's and Solva at Nine Wells (a tiny hamlet but it is on bus and cycle routes.) The area has so much to offer if you like the unspoilt great outdoors, including, water sports, birds and wildlife, walking, cycling, photography, painting, galleries, live music etc. the history of the area is also interesting.
I am looking for a someone who is happy to work generally on their own doing some landscaping weeding and watering.

Your accommodation would be in the main house sharing with me and my 25 year old daughter, having your own bedroom and bathroom.

We have a 17acre small holding in the rural welsh countryside, on the edge of a large forest area. On the small holding we have 1 horse and 16 chickens. We live in a 3 bedroom bungalow, which is set within a 1 acre enclosed walled garden. 4 dogs live with us in the property- 1 Labrador and 3 Clumber spaniels where large numbers of birds of all sorts visit the bird table at all times of the year. We also have a log cabin for helpers to use, this is fully furnished and equipped. The land is mainly laid to grass, in 2 areas. Also on the estate, we have a stream, a river, aa acre of mature woodland, with lots of wild flowers. We open the garden for the National Garden Scheme for a weekend in June.
Help is required for various tasks around th estate. These could cover any of the following, weather depending: gardening- flower and vegetables, woodland management, general construction in various forms and materials, timber preparation, hedging, grass management to name a few. ... more inside

We live on a sheep farm in West Wales. We have 2 working dogs that live in the house. We would like help in the polytunnel, garden and house and playing and being creative with 6 year old grandson. We eat freshly prepared food and often vegetarian and welcome someone interesting in cooking.
It is an attractive farm with moorland and magnificent views from the top of the farm over to the Preseli Hills on one side and the Irish Sea down to St Davids peninsula on the other.
The coastal path is about 3 miles from our farm and there is a storm beach close by where we can sea swim and have some fun. There maybe restrictions due to Covid19 and we would need to check these before you come.

All precautions would need to to be taken in light of Covid 19.
We are looking for an individual or couple to help out to help out and look after our 4 year old son and also with some housework and chores around the farm and with the horses. We would also love a builder or carpenter but none of these things are a must.
A couple or family would be welcome and we would be happy to be even more flexible for a longer term stay. Previous long term helpers have used us as a base to go off and explore Europe and come back in between to work for a bit and save some money. For the right person we could offer a car and maybe some extra paid hours if required. We are very flexible and fair.
Most reviews are from Devon but we have recently inherited a falling down farm house with 73 acres in mid wales near Shropshire border. We have moved all our animals up and desperately need help especially anyone with building gardening and general land clearing skills as well as people with good horse ... more inside

I own and run a small farm and campsite (in the summer months) on the stunningly beautiful and 'wild' north Pembrokeshire coast.
I grew up in Wales and after university, lived and worked in London for a number of years. During that time I travelled extensively to many parts of the world.
I returned to Wales to renovate the house and farm over a decade ago.

THE AREA
The farm is situated on the coast between Fishguard and the small city of St. Davids with its ancient cathedral.
There is direct access to 3 beaches, the cliffs and the world-famous coast path.

There are lots of activities which include hiking, surfing, kayaking, music, photography and arts and crafts to name but a few.

THE FARM is a small traditional farm with a flock of Welsh pedigree sheep and several horses.

CAMPSITE.
We have a "nearly wild" campsite in a very large field with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside and the ocean. It is limited to ten pitches and visitors love the s... more inside

The house is a Grade II listed late Regency mansion in need of a lot of restoration, the gardens are also listed. Following years of neglect and absent owners, it was bought by a charitable trust with the aim of restoring it. The arboretum is one of the finest in the UK, it was terribly snarled up with brambles and much overgrown, a huge amount of clearance work has taken place there and throughout the country park which is open to the public. The park has a cafe, in the summer a band comes regularly and Welsh dancers. However, much more work is needed.
The house is fairly dilapidated however parts of it are habitable. There is a large flat on the top floor, it is clean, has comfortable beds, a shower room, kitchen with everything you might need. We can accommodate several here, in separate rooms.
Help is needed in the gardens and park but also in the house, both with housekeeping and maintenance and repairs. Building experience much appreciated, particularly heritage.

We are a family living in a small village a couple of miles outside of Cardiff. There are frequent buses and trains into the city centre. The Brecon Beacons are a 30 min drive away.
Our house is under renovation, we bought it 4 months ago and it has been very neglected, there are lots of practical tasks to be done. Currently we really need support with childcare as both our children are out of school. They are 4 and 11 and need very different support. The younger likes art, making things, singing and cooking. The older needs help with school work, likes singing and playing music and loves animals.
We have a small garden with lots of potential but we are just begining to sort it out after years of neglect.
Sophie works in a local food business growing and selling salads and is out of the house the majority of the week. Andy is an artist and works from home.
We have a spare room with a double bed which you can stay in, we eat a mainly vegetarian diet, eating meat and fish maybe o... more inside
